I had a wonderful experience at Shady Grove Fertility with Dr. Mitchell. After completing different parts of my fertility journey at other fertility clinics in the triangle, I ultimately transfered to SGF and they are truly the best clinic in the area. Dr. Mitchell is amazing. She takes time to explain the complicated steps of IVF and answer any questions. She explains options and really takes into account your preferences to find the best treatment plan for you. I loved that she would call to deliver important results and to check on me. I dont think Ive ever had a physician call me regularly and it really eased a lot of anxiety to feel so supported. She was really kind and comforting when I was anxious about the egg retrieval and transfer procedures. I always felt like she cared about my physical comfort and mental well being throughout the process. I am currently pregnant, and it was a bittersweet day to leave her care and transition to an OB provider. I would recommend this practice and Dr. Mitchell to anyone looking for an evidence based, compassionate, patient focused experience!

We loved everyone at SGF from the front desk to the embryologists. Dr. Mitchell always did an amazing job explaining everything in great detail and ensuring all of our questions were answered until we fully understood. She comforted me with kind words and hugs when I broke down in her office. She educated us on situations, gave options, and allowed us to make our own educated decisions. We are so grateful for this amazing group of people. Ellie, Bri, Ray and others were also such a positive part of my visits.

When I first started my journey at Shady Grove, I had so many questions & concerns that were running through my mind. Dr. Mitchell is such a kind & informative doctor that was able to break down & throughly explain fertility options for me. She also put me at ease & she was always right there to answer anything I ever needed from her. Dr. Mitchell monitored me throughout my treatments & made a couple adjustments that resulted in a successful outcome for me.We started on a treatment plan together & in a very short period of time, I am now pregnant with my first. I cannot recommend Dr. Mitchell & the whole team at SGF enough for your fertility care.

Dr. Mitchell is an excellent doctor. She communicates with warmth and clarity. She is very knowledgeable and an expert in her field. I always felt like I was in great hands with her (and the whole Shady Grove team). Thanks to Dr. Mitchells care, I am now happily pregnant. I am so grateful for the care I received at SGF and would recommend her to anyone!

Recommending dr. Mitchell 10 out of 10 is a massive understatement! I followed her to the new shady grove clinic and count not dream of doing it any other way. I have needed a few attempts to get pregnant with my second child. Her intelligence, confidence, determination, kindness and is the reason I made it here to 8 weeks. First off, she is so sharp, and I mean crazy smart. She obviously knows the ins and outs every step the process. She is clear about my options, willing to lead with confidence and still respecting my desires and opinions. Her confidence and motivation is contagious and kept me going while I was experiencing the natural highs and lows of the process. At no point in time did I feel hopeless and was always comforted by next steps and kind words. But Dr. Mitchell truly is extra. I felt like her only patient. I know this was not the case, but it felt like it! She was always the once to review labs asap, deliver important information, be the one to perform my procedures. It was the ultimate care. Obviously smart and talented but I cant speak enough to her kindness. She delivers incredibly hard news clearly, honestly but with true compassion. It was easy to trust her and I’m eternally grateful. It is my firm belief that she 100000X capable of leading someone to pregnancy success but the bonus is getting if the biggest supporter who is just an amazingly wonderful human as your doctor.

Dr. Mitchell is so dedicated to her patients in their journey to getting pregnant. She is so kind and always makes sure you are comfortable and understand what’s going on and next steps. She communicates so well with her team and patients and I cannot be more happy with my experience as her patient!

Dr. Mitchell is a gem for Shadygrove. I cannot tell you how comfortable she made me feel during a very vulnerable moment in my life. She deeply cares about her patients and their desires to start a family however that will look like for them. She does not make you feel like a number, but a person. She is very warm with impeccable bedside manners, and she listens to your concerns while helping you understand your treatment options. She is very thorough in explaining the complex world of fertility which I love as I can better make informed decisions. The beautiful thing is, she’s an advocate with you and for me, that makes all the difference in this journey. I am , truly saddened that I will need to go elsewhere due to work, but I am eternally grateful that our paths crossed even for a short time. I want to THANK Dr. Mitchell for EVERYTHING. She is a wonderful, meticulous, smart doctor, who also has a fantastic bedside manner. I went to her with difficulty conceiving and she was able to get to the bottom of it. She did it with the highest level of professionalism and respect for me as a patient. I had a great experience with Dr. Mitchell and am graduating after a few months in her care! She is easily the best doctor I’ve ever had. During my infertility journey, she took the time to explain each step, discuss options, and ensure I felt informed and empowered throughout the process. With Dr. Mitchell, I felt like I actually had options and was an active participant in my treatment plan.One of the things that sets her apart is how communicative she is. She personally handled most of my appointments, and when she didn’t, she always made a point to call or send a message to debrief. I was also really impressed by how much she remembered about my history, preferences, and goals when we talked. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about her patients and is invested in their success.I would recommend Dr. Mitchell to any of my family and friends and will trust her again with my care in the future.
