Midwest Express Clinic

Went in on a Saturday morning around 10ish and I was lucky to have no wait so that was a plus. The physician was able to pin point this rash I’ve had for a few months and also got a second opinion from the other physician, showing her genuine goal to give the proper diagnosis. Very grateful to have an urgent care like this near my place, thank you.

I had a bad (and sudden) throat infection with a fever. Easily booked a slot at 4am online. I went in at 8:20 and got seen in 20 minutes. Staff were nice and my payment was $50 (with insurance) - same as my primary doctor! So this made me happy as I was anxious about the cost. Doctor was kind and took my issue seriously. I got issued antibiotics quickly and within a day started to feel better. Very nice to know this place is a 5 minute walk from me in case I need urgent care! I would recommend this clinic.

There are plenty of immediate care clinics closer than this location, however, I always prefer to come to this location over any other. While the wait times can sometimes be long, the wait is well worth it because the staff are super friendly and helpful. I never feel judged or shamed which has happened at other clinics. Especially being a gay, they are very welcoming to everyone. 10/10 highly recommend.

I really enjoy this location. The staff is exceptionally friendly, the place is always clean, and the wait times are the shortest and most efficient Ive experienced. I was very happy with my visit from start to finish. The waiting area is large and has plenty of seating.The staff are very personable and efficient, which is really important when you’re sick. My doctor was great!

This location has never disappointed us. Very minimum wait time, friendly staff and super knowledgeable nurse practitioners who care about their patients. My kids have always been treated so well here!! They even talk the child through the process and make them feel comfortable.This review written by a Mom who never ever writes reviews because I’m so busy but thought it was very important to help others out when needing quick and professional medical help.

Agree with overall comments: friendly and professional staff, clean, and short wait times. I went on a Saturday morning to check a skin rash and was expecting the whole thing to take ~2 hours. But to my surprise, I was in and out in less than 40 min. Definitely recommend this place

Clinic is very clean and everyone I encountered was pleasant and professional. I also appreciated that I was seen promptly. I wouldn’t hesitate to return there when/if needed.

Terrible service. They accepted my 9 appointment, got there on time to spend 15 minutes in line to check in. There was a nice gentleman working who was kind enough to inform me that it would be another 40 min to 1 hour wait after I got back to the room( supposedly the front desk person was supposed to let me know this). I only went here for quick service. If I had to wait 1.5 hours to be seen when there was only three other people in the waiting room I would just go to my primary care on Monday. They only had one doctor on site. I was then also told that my 9 appointment wasnt really an appointment. Well.. what is the point then?Never returning. Last time I went the young doctor was rushing me and was rude.

Incredibly racist staff. They would not follow up after I called the patient advocate multiple times. So there actually is no patient advocate and no follow up for patients with complaints or those who were billed repeatedly for a single visit. Will be reporting this clinic.

Waited 2hrs for a simple lab work that takes 5–10min max. Only two people ahead of me. Saw a PA for 2-3min who said basically “hi, how are you” and I received a bill for $125 after front desktelling me that my insurance covers it. I will not utilize this facility ever again. And if you have time to waste, go ahead. Two stars for being friendly. -3 stars for wasting time, untrue information regarding insurance, and billing too high for a simple lab work.

Very impressed with this location. Super clean, friendly staff and wonderful medical support. I was nervous to go in but they made me feel very comfortable and took care of me right away.

Not a long wait compared to the 1x was I was in &Out the staffs & the doctor are really friendly & caring they ask me has anything change since they last seen gave them an update but overall great walk in clinic. Highly suggest. They never disappoint me.

This place is on top of their stuff. I was in and out in 30 mins provided you have medical insurance. The nurse and doctor were very helpful and I will definitely be returning in the future for any medical needs.

I give them a 🔟/🔟. I worked with a few of the young ladies, Christine and Rachel and I must say they were over and above beyond what I expected. They were phenomenal. They were knowledgeable and they let me know exactly what steps I needed to do and how to take care of the issue I was dealing with. I want to thank them so much and I will definitely be back because not only did they go above and beyond but way beyond I expected. I am very grateful, appreciative and so excited to have come in contact with them because they addressed my concern full force and got me healed up and healthy back to where I was and should be. Horrible experience. They are denying an insurance that is active and last time I came the lady accepted my insurance. Be careful coming to this location. Not to mention I was just here yesterday using same insurance. Nasty attitude & money hungry. Spoke to a lady with red hair and glasses. The was a blonde with a longer ponytail.

Fabulous experience here. I have severe medical anxiety and went in for blood work today. Dr. Ben and Melissa both went above and beyond to make it a comfortable experience for me. Highly recommend this clinic!!

My visit was in a pleasant surrounding. The personnel were polite and efficient. They answered my questions and conducted an efficient exam. I left knowing that I received the best care possible for the situation.

Went in on a Thursday afternoon, had no wait, and got my employment physical, TB skin test, and a lipo b12 shot. The team was kind, knowledgeable, and will definitely go back!

Dont come here and waste your time if you need test results. i came with a scheduled appointment and had to wait 2+ HOURS because they had ONE provider working. not to mention they make you come back and pay a co-pay just to SEE AND DISCUSS YOUR RESULTS. is this not illegal? most places post their results and you can just view them but nope not this place! they posted a half sheet of the results where i could see half the information but none of the important information so do not come here. it didnt used to be this way so not sure whats changed but this place is a scam for sure!and the best part is? they didnt even test for what i asked them to so all of my visits where for nothing! please never come here! (my PA was very nice though and apologetic on behalf of this poorly run establishment with bad communication)

It’s never great to have an issue that requires immediate treatment. But the staff at Midwest Express are so professional and caring that it makes the experience much easier. They also provide great follow up care and I love the automation of appointment reminders.

Very nice attentive staff. Not a long wait, recommend if you dont need same day blood or imaging tests. If you do, better to go to the ER!

Very unorganized and I think it’s the receptionist. Maybe her first day on the job. I booked online and have been here before. But it took her 20 minutes to check me in. Nothing Express about this office. Had to leave my break 30 minute break was over.

My wife and I were visiting Chicago from Bethlehem PA this past weekend when I experienced severe pain that I surmised was complications from my back surgery in February. We turned to Midwest Express and received great care and results from the staff there. Waterskying was still out of the question but we were able to salvage some of our vacation.Thanks so much.Pete Nowlan

They took over an hour to see me and I was given different stories between the different PAs. I was told to come back 2 weeks later to show up and have them tell me I have to wait another 2 weeks to see them. So far I have been charged for 2 visits and have been requested to see a different physician to get the same test done they performed on my original visit. Nice people, but did not seem to care about my situation at all.

I completed the paperwork online, and at the time I went (about 4:15pm on a Friday), only 2 people ahead of me. The wait wasnt long. Staff was very friendly😊. The room was spacious, looked & 👃smelled clean👍🏾. I would go again, and recommend it to others.

Did a PCR test for a baby (under 1) and it was easy and quick.Although its says that no scheduling is needed for COVID-19 test in some places (information from the public school database), scheduling is indeed needed.

Reserved early in the day appointment in the Lakeview location for 7:30. Arrived 15 min early and they told me that “we’re not taking more “”walk in” and that the “confirmation message we receive is not a reservation but a reminder to register”. Ridiculous. I am a pregnant woman who needs an influenza test to get treated due to the risk on pregnant women and this secretary told me that I could go home and come tomorrow just because. Also to note “I can put you on the waitlist for tomorrow”. How reliable is that waitlist? Will I arrive tomorrow to be sent home again just because? What a joke. Never coming here again and sharing this so that this helps someone else.

The PA was understanding and patience. She listened to the issue.The MA was cool The front desk lady was cool. The check out one on the other hand was not. The place is clean.

This place will always be my go-to for urgent care. The nurse and PA staff are kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. Ive been there for all types of issues, but they won me over after I came in having ripped open the bottom of my toe. They patched me up so well, I healed quickly, and I have no scar at all. The best!

It was very fast but thorough. The doctor I saw was very friendly and knew what she was doing. There was absolutely nothing negative about this visit. Before I drove here I had gone to another immediate care but the wait line there was an hour and a half.Here, I was seen in under 10 minutes. Will definitely return.

They were a walk in clinic and even though I misunderstood how there appointment times worked I still got in and out with no problems. Racheal was very nice and bubbly made me feel very comfortable. Thanks I will be going here again in the future.

Went to Midwest with a horrible cold and cough. They tested me for Covid, flu and RSV and the practitioner i saw was thorough, kind and attentive. Lucky to have them in the neighborhood.

$120 for an STI screening with insurance?! That seems highly outrageous and like an organization looking to take advantage of those without access to a PCP.

Ive been to this clinic (urgent care) about 4 times now and every single experience had been a positive one. The staff is the absolute best, from the person who checks you in, to the nurse who took my vitals and asked the questions, and finally the.doctors themselves. Ive seen s couple different ones but they were all kind, non judgemental & really took the time to listen & amswsr any questions i had. The best part is they are open till 8pm and the online check in before arriving really speeds up the process. Highly recommend. Thanks to everyone at mid-west express

Best urgent care experience! There was no wait, the staff was so incredibly kind and compassionate, the NP I saw listened and took my experience into account, and I was seen and treated and out the door in less than 45 minutes. Went to clinic on Broadway for a sports physical. Registered online ahead of time. Everything was quick and easy. No problems.

This was my first time ever visiting an Urgent Care and I had a wonderful experience here. I was in a biking accident and was really distraught coming in here on my own.Caroline, the nurse practitioner, was so empathetic and knowledgeable & made me feel really heard and supported.Collin helped me get my x-rays done and was also so kind and compassionate.I’m so glad I picked this location and recommend that everyone comes here if they ever need to! There was not a long wait time at all (10 minutes) & the whole process exceeded my expectations

This place is great. I havent been able to find a new doctor since I moved to the area.I needed to be looked at immediately but didnt deem an emergency room necessary. Ive been to urgent care clinics before and this place is leagues above any typical urgent care.Service is quick . They recommend you check in online to fill out paperwork as a first time patient. You pick your arrival time but its not a guaranteed appointment.Regardless, I didnt wait to long. My first visit, I arrived 5 minutes before my selected time and I was called about 5 minutes after. I got a pre-screen before meeting with the medical professional (need to specify that no one has outright introduced themselves as a Doctor). Despite this, their medical knowledge seemed sound.My second visit I arrived 30 minutes past my selected time and I was still called after about 5 minutes. After the pre-screen, I did wait about 20 minutes for a medical professional to see me but that was still way quicker Im used to at my previous doctor.As for payment, I have BCBS-IL. Both my visits have been in the last 2 weeks and so I havent seen a bill yet. My copay was $20 which is lower than my previous doctor.Overall, I find this place to be satisfactory for general illnesses as opposed to having to book a Doctors visit 2 months out.

Great location, efficient, effective, super staff from check-in to treatment. Other family members have used this clinic, and all have been extremely pleased with the services theyve received. Did I mention how well the staff treats the clinics patients?

I had strep at the end of December. My insurance expired the first of January. They gave me antibiotics. I told the office I was experiencing the same Synoptics and Thai needed them to phone on antibiotics. They would not see me unless I paid 130 dollars. I did not have the money, so I had to leave. My step got so bad I couldn’t breathe and had mucus running out of every orifice Strep is dangerous. It affects you’re heart, can infect kidneys and lungs. They gave me the worst treatment and did not care what happened to me because it was a few days later. I found my new insurance card in the mail and went to the Midwest clinic on Ashland and was treated much better. I will never go back to the office on Broadway. They are very dismissive and people are just numbers.

Very nice, clean center. Welcoming people & the nurse practitioners, Jessica & Holly, were terrific & efficient. I am very impressed & would recommend the center to anyone. I am visiting from AZ & my family here have also had positive experiences.

Been here multiple times and I’ve always had quick and excellent care

I took my son for his high school sports physical evaluation to Midwest Express on Broadway. Checked in online which was fairly easy. When we got there, we didnt have to wait for too long before we were seen. The front desk staff was pleasant and friendly. The nurse and PA were very professional, nice, efficient and helpful. We got the forms filled out quickly. Everything was done in 45 minutes. Highly recommend this place if you ever need it! $35 for physical evaluation- no insurance coverage.Much better service than Physicians Immediate or CVS!!

It was so easy to get in and get seen at this clinic. Everyone was friendly and the process was smooth. I was seen by PA Rachel and she was thorough and friendly. I was in and out within 30 minutes.

This clinic is my go-to in Lakeview - I highly recommend it for your urgent care needs. While wait times can get a bit long at peak times, thats to be expected and the staff does all they can to expedite the process. The whole team is friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and caring. From start to finish, everyone was friendly, professional, and rather fast, too. My eye needed a tag removed and it happened quickly. They also scheduled a follow up, plus Im getting a blood test done. Very reasonable cost as well! Overall, I would recommend MEC Lakeview. For me, not being insured, I could afford the healthcare at this clinic, too. Bonus.

Awesome place, well run and organized. The doctor I met with was an excellent and very knowledgeable resident. With an appointment booked the night before, I was in and out in less than an hour on -30 degree morning.

Ive gone to Midwest Express Clinic 3 times and have had a positive experience each time. All staff are incredibly kind and helpful. The online scheduling to hold a place in line is very convenient. Each time I have been seen at my scheduled time or earlier (ir may be due to going at off-peak times, but is definitely worth mentioning!) Thank you Midwest Express for everything.

This was my first experience here. It was excellent. Urgent care is great for smaller stuff. I had an infected thumb. The provider lanced it and squeezed out to infection. Ouch. But swelling went down and got antibiotic.

This is the nicest and cleanest urgent care I have ever been to. All of the staff was wonderful and the facility is great. It may have been the time I was there, but it was pretty quick too.

My son was not feeling well and they were able to see him immediately. One we were able to see the provider she spent a lot of time with us and answered all of our questions. We never felt rushed and left feeling a lot better about his condition. Highly recommended!

Probably the easiest medical care process I’ve experienced. Very helpful and quick, got a same day comprehensive school physical and labs for my daughter done. Best pricing and speedy turn around time for lab results. Great experience overall, everyone was so kind and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend

Decent if you’re in a rush, but also kind of a money grab. Test results wouldn’t load in my portal, so I had to get the results in person. Once I got the results, I asked if I could ask a clarifying question to the provider but the front desk lady said I would need to come in for another $50 appointment.

I was 15 minutes early to an appointment to get an X-ray. I was only called back 15 minutes AFTER the scheduled appointment, and then told they aren’t even doing X-rays - despite being told explicitly and confirmed that the appointment was for an X-ray.The staff didn’t apologize and told me I should have called before coming in, even as they were the ones who made the appointment.Edit: they commented here saying to call them. No one picked up. Avoid here if you possibly can.

Concerned, convenient care. Made it in, took care of business, and got out quick and started feeling better almost immediately. Cant say enough about this clinic.

As doc in the boxes go, this one is clean, efficient and kind. They got my son in, out and sent his scripts in late on a Sunday eve in time for us to get them before the pharmacy closed.

This place is great I was in the waiting room 30mins and out of the entire place in 1hr and 10 mins. The clerk was nice intake wasnt so bad and the nurse is so cool and down to earth she talked about her and her daughter and it was a refreshing conversation. The physician assistant was hilarious and made me more comfortable. Also unlike other doctors he didnt make light of my situation and said i should get a second opinion if my neurological problem persist with causing me to fall... I was in there cause I fell (again😒) and rolled my ankle along with pulling a muscle. The entire team was really cool and decent.The only problem I had was parking which really was a slight inconvenience because I didnt know we could park in the parking garage so I circled the block 2x before realizing. Just FYI the parking is not validated so you would pay. I doubt you would be there more than 2 hours... I ended up paying 14.00 which wasnt so bad.Under 1 hour $10.001-2 hours $14.00Theres street parking if youre lucky enough to get it and if youre there for 2-3 hours its only like 5 bucks

When I checked out, I requested an invoice detailing the purpose of my visit, in order to file an insurance claim. The receptionist told me that they would send it to me via email when they closed out everything for the day. That day, I received nothing, so I called back the following day, and then the receptionist told me to call back in a few days to wait for the doctor to close out their records for the week. I called back a few days ago to follow up after receiving nothing, so they took down my name/email, and they still havent sent me anything. Id love to know why Midwest Express Clinic finds joy in wasting my time. If you actually care about making this right, please email me, since I know Ive provided you with my email at least 5x now...

I bring my family here all the time when there are sore throats or fevers in our home. The online check in is AMAZING and we are usually in and out during the week. The people are spectacular. So kind and knowledgable. I’m so happy this is close to our house.

Went in for an eye irritation and I made my appointment for 8:10 just to be in line. The front desk was awesome and got my info ready in all about 10 minutes. I saw Dr Laura who was fantastic and brought another issue to my attention. I will for sure be back

If you expect to see a doctor don’t go here. I called before I showed up and they didn’t mention there were no doctors at this location, maybe I should have asked. Wouldn’t you assume a doctor to be in a doctors office I did. Anyway my complaint was high blood pressure I’m talking 200/150 heart attack stroke numbers. I even bought in my home blood pressure monitor to prove my extra high readings during the past week. The nurse practitioner didn’t give me any pills, it was a waste of my time and my insurance money. They did teach me to always ask if there is a doctor at that location.Will never go there again.

The person who drew my blood did not wipe my arm with an alcohol prep pad first. She just put the needle in. I asked her why, and she said that she meant to, but forgot. She then said Dont worry, you will be fine!As someone who works in healthcare and understands the risks of introducing bacteria into the body, and furthermore the blood stream, I find this unacceptable. I would not recommend this clinic.

The worst, they gave me wrong information twice had me show up each time and not ever see a doctor. This was so frustrating

Just moved to Chicago and I’ve got to say, this place was great. The doctors and intake nurses were so kind and I felt like I could trust them. (sometimes medical offices make me feel really nervous)Facilities were clean and comfortable.I would definitely come back if I ever needed to!

I went in to get my earwax cleaned. They successfully cleaned one ear, couldnt get the wax out of the other one. The doctor at Midwest Express said my ear might bleed if they tried to clean it more thoroughly, but my regular ENT is able to clean my earwax regularly with no problems and no bleeding, so they are worse than the doctors at an ENT office.

I arrived at Midwest Express clinic on December 16,2023 with a headache, fever sore throat, congestion, diarrhea and chills. Five minutes later I was called to the back and asked about the purpose of my visit. Vitals signs were taken, medical history given, and I was tested for several illness. Next we walked across the hall to room 4, where I waited about another 5 minutes before the doctor walked in The doctor asked several more questions, examined me, gave a diagnosis with meds to take and a note to return to work and I was done with my visit. I found the staff at MEC to be prompt, professional, accurate and very kind. Thank You MEC for helping me to get better.Best regardsDr. Lisa Sutton

Imagine that, another well deserved 5 star review for the Lakeview Midwest Express clinic...Having lived in Chicago for 25 years, Ive developed a fairly long list of favorites. At the very top of that list was my Primary Care Physician in Roscoe Village. My doctor was amazing!!! Although he sold the practice to two very fine physicians, my work schedule made it difficult to book even a simple appointment.This is where Midwest Express Clinic enters the picture. Their hours are amazing, not to mention taking walkins that have no appointment. (broken wrist 12/21). Their compassion and professionalism was 5 possibly 6 Stars and that work ethic continues today.I very highly recommend the Lakeview Midwest ExpressI Clinic .

This clinic is very well run. I had a smooth process from start to finish. They were very thorough and professional and helped me deal and diagnose a sprained ankle.

I’ve been coming here for 10+ years for urgent care. I’ve had various Doctors and staff, but everyone I’ve interacted with has always been super nice, patient and friendly. My daughter is a difficult patient, but she hasn’t phased them yet.The quality of care/diagnosis has been great, and on top of that the wait is usually minimal.Love this place.

The website indicates xrays as one of the services; Because I had some shortness of breath, and my doctor recommended I get chest xray I went to Midwest Express. I had several problems when i got there: first, they could not confirm any of my (very standard) medical insurance, including Medicare which i have had for 10+ years. (When I left here, I went to an ER who had no problems accessing any of my insurance.) Then they told me that xray was not availalbe today (Sunday), because their xray tech is only in on Tuesdays; Ill remember that the next time I need an urgent xray on a Tuesday! That seemed like misleading info on the website to me. Finally, after I was told they could not find my insurance and could do an xray, they offered to see me nevertheless. I was shocked, and left. (I would have left no stars, which more accurately characterizes my evaluation, but the system wouldnt let me.)

BEST URGENT CARE EXPERIENCE TO DATE! Every team member from the moment I walked in was helpful, kind and approachable. I was in and out in no time and while I hope I’m not back any time soon, I wouldn’t hesitate to go in to this location.

This place is absolutely great! I highly recommend “reserving your spot in line” on their website. Click “Check In” on this location and then essentially makes you a reservation which helps you bypass the wait (if there is one). Everyone is so nice and helpful, and really make you feel comfortable. Highly recommend! I’ve been twice now and will continue to come back.

Midwest Express Clinic doesnt feel like a typical clinic. Walking in the door I really felt very comfortable and welcomed. I couldnt ask for better customer service. Very friendly and informative. They also had me in & out in a timely fashion. After visiting 2 other clinics for some ear issues I was experiencing. Midwest knocked it out the park. My ears are performing at a high level now sense they pulled out 50 years of wax from my ears. Its great not to hear crackling and experience pain any longer. I will refer this clinic to others and I definitely will be going back. Hopefully not anytime soon. Thx again Midwest Express.

I brought my young son in for an ear infection. When we arrived we waited about 5mins. We were called back and someone checked his vitals then went into an exam room. Waited less than 5min and Michael NP came in. He had a nice calming presence about him. Friendly, listened well, explained what he would do. After evaluating my son his said he’d like to get a second pair of eyes to confirm what he saw and I appreciated that. Another NP came in (friendly as well) and said she agreed with him, ruptured ear drum. He then stated what he would recommend we do.Before picking up the prescription I had an additional question and called back, on hold 5 min, then I was able to speak directly with him.He never spoke down to me or gave me push back when I asked questions about the antibiotics.This was our first visit here and I was nervous about bringing my toddler vs waiting another day for a sick appt w his ped office. I was happily surprised at the wonderful care. I will definitely come back again when needed. Thank you all so much!

Same day appointment, no wait, incredible staff. The medical provider I saw was very easy to talk too. I have seen several doctors for my medical issue and have always felt judged because the medication I need is the only thing that works. This provider was thorough, patient and understanding. I got what I needed, was out of there within 15 minutes and scheduled an appointment for the following week for my annual checkup and bloodwork. If you can, book a time, but they do take walk-ins and their hours and days open can fit any schedule. I highly recommend.

I went here on a Sunday because I was battling a virus (turned out to be COVID)! Midwest Express was able to diagnose me and give me recommendations to help all of my symptoms. I was going to go to PIC (my usual place) but MEC had a lot more time to get me in immediately instead of hours later. I am so glad I chose to go here because I got tested, diagnosed, and treated very quickly. Joanna Giza APN gave me a sheet with a list of things that would help my symptoms. I was suffering terribly from a cough and sore throat and her reccomendations made a HUGE difference and I was finally able to get a full nights sleep. Only regret is not coming in sooner but I was incapacitated and probably wouldnt have been able to sit up and wait. I loaded up on a ton of stuff from Walgreens and am already feeling much better. Thank you to Monika, Joanna and everyone else! This will be my new spot. PS -- If I was able to taste things, I would have taken advantage of the free Keurig coffee in the lobby :)

Everyone here was SO kind. From the receptionists, to the nurses, to the doctors, I felt so cared for, not rushed, and like a big warm hug. Can’t recommend enough for when you’re in a pinch. Also little to no wait times for my visit.

The wait was great considering it was the end of the day on a weekend. The receptionist was very nice and communicated very clearly.While I enjoyed and had a wonderful experience with the nurse who took my vitals.The doctor was condescending and sub-par. She didn’t do a full check of what she was supposed to. She minimized my issue and asked me if I knew what was going on even after I told her I did. She patronized me about setting up an appointment for something without knowing my circumstances and proceeded to send my prescription to the wrong location after being given the proper address.I would like to feel like I’m taken seriously and not demeaned based on the issues that she feels is or is not serious. Felt a bit prejudiced…(Nurse and desk staff were Hispanic, doctor was white)

Attempted to get a TB skin test at this location. Staff refused to administer the TB test in my arm with tattoos, I did not want my opposite arm used because I scar very easily. The nurse practitioner stated it was policy to use an area where there are no tattoos. When I asked to see such policy, she went back on her word and said there isnt a policy. The nurse practitioner was unable to provide any data stating this is a contraindication. I have been getting this test performed every year on the same arm for the past 10 years and it has never been an issue until today. CDCs website states that tattoos are not an exclusion for this test. I pray that this facility reads up on current evidence based practices.

All of the women had excellent customer service when I walked in the door the woman at the front desk was respectful open and generous she said hello made you feel welcome the facility was very clean the the nurse with braids and glasses I wish I remembered names she was very on point a listener Givin good feed back the receptionist 💯 and the physician very 💯 she did her job well very helpful and respectful ill recommend that Clinic to anyone all of them are AWESOME GOD BLESS AND THANKS 10 all around the board all the workers

I was visiting for sort of an awkward situation. Thankfully my Doctor Kara put me at ease. I wanted to get some blood and urine tests done and it was all very easy. Everyone was very professional. Also, they were very nice and explained about how my insurance co-pays work when I went in for the results. Nice clean facility. I made an appointment online so I could upload my license and insurance card which saved time. Overall, best experience and very fast. Appreciate the help!

I live across the street and have been here several times. Most recently my finger got in the way of me slicing bread. I got in promptly, the staff were kind and attentive, and they explained everything that needed to be done. This experience wasn’t any different than my other times. I appreciate the level of care the medical providers give each time I’m there.

The staff are very friendly and efficient here. The office is nice and clean. No one wants to be sick and go to urgent care, but this is a great place to go when you need it.

Nice big, clean reception area to keep everyone safe. The front desk person was very busy but still kept her cool. The nurse was friendly and professional and the doctor was lovely, knowledgeable and sympathetic when delivering the news that I did, in fact, have Covid. Will go back if I’m ever in need again.

I was really sick and did not want to spend hours in the ER. Midwest Express Clinic on Broadway was amazing. They got me roomed, took X-rays, and sent my prescriptions quickly all while being extremely caring and reassuring. The entire staff was knowledgeable and empathetic. I would trust them with the care of my family and friends.

I had burned my hand with boiling water when visiting my daughter. I was able to quickly get an appointment and care, as well as follow up care for my hand. As an out-of-towner, the staff helped me find a pharmacy nearby making it easy for me to get my prescription filled.

While visiting my daughter from California, my sciatica became inflamed. I went online and found Midwest Express Clinic. My experience from completing the info/appointment request online to the meeting with Dr. Caroline and lastly phoning in my prescription at Walgreens, was so fast and efficient! It was an amazing experience that I will always remember! ❤️

Very friendly staff, overworked and underpaid however. The poor provider had to run between patients taking vitals and then working us up. The only other staff present was a receptionist. All because they won’t pay appropriate wages to hire techs.

I always get exceptional service whenever I go into a Midwest Express, regardless of the location. It is incredibly easy to make an appointment, everyone is incredibly nice, and I always feel listened to and taken care of. I never want to go anywhere else again!

I had a great experience at this location! I made an appointment in the morning for the same day and was seen right away when I showed up. Quick and easy appoint with great providers who listened to everything I had to say. I was in and out within 30 min with the answers I needed. It was my first visit to Midwest Express and I was pleased. I preregistered for a time slot which was a pleasant surprise. The wait was minimal. The PA was thorough and the over the counter drugs recommended were very helpful. I felt well taken care of.

I went in with no appointment and they took me right away. Laura the provider was amazing. She addressed my concerns and put my mind at ease. I would definitely go back. It was a pleasant experience.

Same day walk-in. The entire staff was extremely helpful. The Admin at the front desk made sign in, payment and scheduling my next appointment very easy. Each of 3 or 4 medical personnel I met with with during my visit were extremely thorough and genuine.

Went in for TB skin test for employment and it was $60. They didnt make me wait behind everyone else. They had any In-N-Out in 15 minutes. Good expirience.

Very nice and considerate staff. My insurance company was being a pain and I was nervous about the cost. Went in for an ear infection and the doctor was informative and comforting. After treating me, the doctor even called me back with a price estimate form different pharmacies.Edit 10.30.23It depends when you show up to this place. The online registration does not make an appointment so no need to watse your time. They were busy and no chairs left and when I asked for one as my wait was up to 45 mins, even though the online regestration asks you to schedule the time you wanted, I was told they did not have any chairs. I came back expecting the service from before but was dissappointed.

Very quick turn around for rapid tests! Got me in and out in under an hour if you go at the very beginning of the day! Got my antibiotics within 2 hours and felt listened to!

I was going to give this place a decent review, but after realizing the shady thing they did by charging me for an unnecessary procedure, Im giving this place a one-star.I went in because I was suffering from a bad migraine. The PA asked me to pee in a cup, so I thought that was part of their standard procedure and would be covered by my co-pay and so I did. A few weeks later, I was billed by my insurance company because they didnt cover what turned out to be a pregnancy test because it was not related to my actual diagnosis. Imagine, going in for a burn, but being asked to do a pregnancy test. Doesnt make sense, and so my insurance didnt cover it.Now, the PA DID NOT tell me what the urine test was for. Had he asked me if there was any possibility that I was pregnant, I wouldve told him there is 0% possibility that I was pregnant and wouldve forgone the pregnancy test. Basically, they ordered an unnecessary test and now Im on the hook for it.When I called, the assistant was rude - not helpful. Told me over and over again that it was basically my fault for leaving a urine sample before placing me on indefinite hold for another front desk person to answer.Very deceptive and downright sexist. I asked if they would ask a 100 year old woman to do a pregnancy test, and they said yes.This is another form of a pink tax that women have to shoulder. Why are women shouldering this burden. Do you ask all the men who enter your clinic to submit to an unnecessary urine test? You should. That’s the only way to make this equitable. Or how about this?? Only run it when a woman agrees that it is necessary.This is an illustration of why the American healthcare system is broken. Why run an unnecessary, sexist procedure that couldve been avoided by simply asking the patient whether there is any possibility that she could be pregnant? Listen to the friggin patient instead of invalidating their perspective.I would give this place zero stars if I could.

I went to clinic to have a nasty, persistent cough looked at. I was called by a nurse immediately after I checked in. They took my vitals and then showed me to the exam room. Ten minutes later the doctor came into exam room. She examined me, made a diagnosis, called in some prescriptions, and my visit was done. She was very professional, knowledgable, and kind. Elapsed time from entering front door to exiting front door: 30 minutes. I am extremely happy with my visit.

Staff was friendly and efficient. It was very helpful that we could 1) call and reach an actual person to confirm x-ray services were available that day and for how long and 2) that we could make an appointment and check in online in order to avoid a long wait in the office.

Waited over an hour, was seen by the NP for about 45 seconds who told to me to just take allergy meds. I went to my actual doctor the next day and got a RX that helped clear my symptoms in 2 days. In the future I will just wait until I can go to my doctors office.

Loved my experience here! I came in without an appointment so early and they saw me right away and had prescriptions waiting at my pharmacy by the time I was out. Will absolutely come back when and if I need medical help

They were able to see me without an appointment on a Saturday and only had to wait about an hour.

The service was fine and quick, but I am giving a low rating due to poor transparency regarding charges. I was told to come back 4 total times for follow up visits, and each time I asked what the charges would be and I was told no charge other than a $20 copay. Almost 2 months later, I began receiving bills for nearly $300 and threats to my credit score. The bills I receive also never match - bills sent via text message say I owe nearly $350 while bills mailed to me say $275, even though they list all of the same office visit dates. No one answers the phone number provided when I call, and I am left waiting in line for a long time with the automated message about high call volume. There is no way to see what the actual balance owed is on their website, it only has a place to enter my credit card number.TLDR: quick and efficient care, but beware of surprise fees and unexpected charges after the fact!!

I waited here for over an hour very patiently. I was seen by someone who said she was new and constantly had to leave the room to go ask someone else questions. Then I was moved to another room. A doctor who claimed she worked at northwestern with her own practice for 22 years was more interested in selling me on why she should be my pcp then helping me. I had stomach issues and felt disoriented. When she left and a nurse came in to do tests, I told the nurse I had some more questions for the doctor. When the doctor came back she screamed at me and said I was holding them up and they were closing. I got there at 5pm and they kept me till 8pm. Frankly it was traumatizing to be screamed at by someone who is supposed to help, especially when I just had more questions. Do not go here, they are just looking to take your money and get you in and out as quickly as possible. The doctor I met with frankly didn’t even seem like a real doctor

I had quick, efficient and friendly service by everyone with whom I interacted. The doctor was fabulous! She was professional, polite and funny which I needed. I have a great internist, but was too tired to make the trek to his office, so I went to MEC and was so glad I did. I was mildly concussed and this doctor found the bump. Great experience and I won’t ride any more bulls in Dallas.

Everyone, from the front desk staff to the medical assistants and provider, were so kind and accommodating. The check in/registration process was a breeze and wait time was minimal. The entire staff treated me like a human being and made me feel like I’d been going there for yrs (this was my first visit). My provider genuinely listened to me and my concerns and never made me feel rushed or confused. All in all I would recommend this facility to everyone. Would give it 6 stars if I could.

Was able to reserve my time first thing in the morning for an early appointment. Quiet, clean and welcoming lobby. Friendly front desk. Helpful PA and medical staff. Swift response to test results and getting prescriptions. Nice to have such a frictionless experience end to end. Thank you!

Can’t recommend this clinic unfortunately. I visited 2-3 times with no issues with billing and lab tests in the past, however, this January I visited and received a bill from Quest directly for lab tests I declined and did not authorize. I have been calling Midwest Express for over a month now, and I’m getting the runaround from several managers. I previously spoke to Maria for about 2-3 weeks, who connected me with a Quest rep, and did not get an update from either of them while Maria moved locations. I called last week and spoke to Tanya who mentioned I would get a call back from Maria last week. I didn’t hear back so I called again today, just to find out I apparently got a call from “management” (Jasmine) and they weren’t able to get ahold of me. I did not have any missed calls or voice messages to back this up. I still have not heard back from this clinic and still have this bill with unauthorized tests outstanding that I am waiting to hear next steps on. I am extremely disappointed with my experience and the customer service associated with Midwest Express Clinic.

I have been to another Midwest clinic on Ashland and the team cannot compare. The secretary did not check me in completely so I waited an hour for nothing. The first provider I saw insisted on a follow up appointment. They make you pay another co-pay for another appointment just to review results for literally 5 minutes. Then the provider then tried to tell me that it’s company policy to not reveal information over the phone and patronize like me I’m not a registered nurse that understands healthcare and HIPAA policies. Any other facility has no problem revealing your results as long as you verify your information. This company just wants to claim another service to bill you and your insurance with their money hungry tactics. Will not be returning here.

It was super quick to get in to see the NP who addressed my concerns and symptoms right away. They gave me all of the possible scenarios based on my potential test results for strep throat and were super attentive.

Arrived at 8:10 for an 8:05 appointment. I was not taken until 9:15 for a semi slow day. Once in I had great care and very attentive service .

If you wish to be seen by a legitimate medical professional DO NOT come here. Especially DO NOT bring a minor here to be seen, the doctor looked at my toddler as if I had brought in an alien for her to evaluate. They charged me nearly $300 for this so called doctor to literally just look at my daughter as someone might look at a stranger on the street. She did not use any tools, did not listen to hear heart, look in her eyes, ears etc. when we came in for what we thought was pink eye. Turned out to be a double ear infection which her real doctor was able to diagnose immediately upon using an otoscope to look in her ears. When I disputed the charges for this so called appointment they sent me to a debt collector. This place should NOT be in business. You are better off using Dr. Google than wasting your time and money at Midwest Express Clinic.

I was running late in the day and called 30 minutes before closing to find out if I could still be seen. To my surprise I was welcomed to come in. Normally businesses do not encourage people to come in 30 prior to closing so this place had me with their policy.Wait time was not bad consider there were three people ahead of me. Registration was a breeze!My visit with the Nurse Prac. was great! She knew exactly what was wrong and quickly addressed it.I was not feeling well going in but the team’s hospitality helped ease any nervousness I had. They are so warm and caring, very welcoming too.I would recommend this place to friends and family.

I’ve generally had pretty good experiences at Midwest Express. The last time I went there, I had to go for something sensitive. The medical staff was amazing. They were very compassionate, helpful, and non- judgmental. I saw Michael (a PA or NP- I can’t remember which one) and I believe the MA’s name was Colin. They were both so great!

This place is the best. I dont live nearby, but I always come here when I need urgent care because the wait times are short and I get good quality care. Totally worth the extra few minutes in the car. The staff all have great bedside manner too. Highly recommend!

Would give this place more stars if possible 🙈 the staff are so kind, willing to listen to all concerns and are very thorough. It’s nice to know these healthcare providers genuinely care about the people they serve, which makes a huge difference to other health offices that may not be as attentive or kind. Midwest express clinic is now my go to!

The staff went above and beyond and was extremely helpful. She explained the entire procedure and made me feel comfortable. I even accidentally left my wedding ring in the room and they ran after me outside to return it. This was the best experience Ive ever had at a care facility

I went on a Monday morning for Covid/flu testing, after a positive home test, and got in quickly. Very short wait and the NP, Kaitlin, was very nice and helpful and spent time answering my questions etc. A very good experience all around. I did register online ahead of time.

I visited Midwest Express Clinic a lot over the last month and had a positive experience every time. The check in process online was super easy and the wait time was very minimal. Every provider I had was very kind, attentive, and knowledgeable, thank you so much Midwest Express Clinic!

In Chicago, it’s always difficult to get a same day appointment — especially on a weekend— at an urgent care clinic. Midwest was able to provide that and excellent care as well. Will definitely keep them in mind when needed in the future!

Their process was very easy. They are very efficient. The doctor was very attentive, and had a very good manner. And their facility was very clean and friendly.

I came here because they were close to where I live and I needed to COVID test asap. I was able to make the appt for the same day, which I really appreciated. I did have to wait a bit but the staff was super nice. When I finally saw the physician, she was so kind and genuinely cared about me. She gave me a mini overall evaluation and talked to me about overall health and some depression symptoms I was having. She recommended some additional help so that I could address and get better. I really liked it here I might even change my phone primarily doctor to here.

Every time I have been here I have had great service. The staff, from check in to being seen, have always been nice. Even though they are not taking walk-ins right now, I was assisted within 15 min of my appointment time for a PCR test for our daughter. We received the results in 2 days. I would definitely go back for future tests and other needs.

I just called asking for information on an allergy test. The person who answered was extremely rude. I was put on hold for 6 minutes and when someone finally came back, I asked again about an allergy test and they hung up on me. Ive never been to the clinic in person but my call experience was awful.

Midwest clinic is an absolute pleasure! Make sure you make your appointment online prior to coming so that you go to the front of the (short and fast moving) line. Jackson was great as my intake medical assistant but REGINA IS THE BEST Phlebotomist I have ever had. She is caring and precise! Regina is there M-F during the day so if you need your blood drawn go to her!!!

I enjoyed my experience the wait was long It was my fault I should have made a reservation. The nurse was kind. I weighed myself on the scale which was good. I was 174 i am eating a lot now. The doctor was nice. I did a blood sample man they took a lot glad its done.

My check in time was quick, effective & professional. I didnt have to wait more than 10 minutes to be seen by a nurses assistant for vitals, covid test & strep throat culture. Rooms were clean, office was clean, everone followed Covid protocols and staff all friendly/polite. I was treated with dignity & respect.

Do not go here. They will say any insurance is covered even when it is not, then you will get a bill months later. Very fraudulent .

I have gone here several times and had decent experiences. However, I tried going today and my insurance was not accepted, but has been in the past. As a result, I called my health insurance company who confirmed that I am in network and should be covered. I was on the phone with a representative from this clinic and my health insurance company at the same time (3 way call), of which the representative said, “if she insists on being seen…then she will have to..” and after I heard that, I had absolutely no desire to return to this place. There was no motivation to try and talk through the situation, I was simply met with rudeness and not a willingness to try and help. I hope others have good experiences, as I had in the past, but because of this, I will not be returning.

First time at a non-LGTBQ focused clinic in a very long - we stop going after enough unpleasant experiences. Delia at the desk was very professional, clear, and kind. The process was well-thought out to eliminate risk from one patient to another. It was quick. And lastly, Leah was SO wonderful. She was knowledgeable and up-to-date and made me feel very comfortable in the clinical setting that requires openness for best outcome. I was a walk-in client. The desk lady saw I was in excruciating pain and offered to take me back right away. I waited for probably 20 minutes before the doctor came in, after two nurses stopped by to help me out. The doctor was very sweet and understanding, and the nurses were sweet as well. They catered to my needs with care and ease. Safe to say I was very pleased.

This is the best clinic weve found in Chicago. If you dont have insurance the rates are unbelievable. My husband went in for xrays, on a Sunday, they seen him the exact time as we scheduled on the walk in site. No appointment necessary. He was in and out in an hour. Recieved a call about the xrays that night. Less than 300.00. If he had gone to the ER it would have cost a couple grand. If you have insurance this place will make you consider just paying out of pocket & dropping it. (They do take insurance if you have it.). I recommended this place to a friend who had a bike accident this weekend. He called to thank me saying they were very nice, quick stitched him up & did xrays. Again, low cost out of pocket. He said the people at this clinic were the nicest people hes ever received healthcare from & it didnt cost a 2nd mortgage.

I cut my finger with a butcher knife and wasn’t quite sure if I needed stitches or not. I looked up Midwest Express Clinic at the recommendation of my wife, and the online registration process was extremely easy. It allows you to upload your ID and your medical card and register before you show up, which is a huge plus and helps expedite the whole process. The woman who was running “air traffic control” at the receptionist feel was INCREDIBLE. I was very impressed with her bedside manner, friendly disposition, and extreme competence. She was multi-tasking the entire time and didn’t miss a beat despite how busy they were. There is complimentary coffee in the lobby, and Nurse Practitioner, Kara, was fantastic. Highly recommend!!

Ive had to visit this clinic several times throughout the past month. Ear Infection & COVID Testing. Everything I dealt with was very nice. A few times I had to wait a little longer than Id like, and my insurance has not covered the costs of my visits - a surprise to me - but I have no other complaints. The doctors and nurse practitioners here seem to know what they are doing.

I felt very safe at this clinic! Not only were there not so many people inside, but the nurses sprayed down each chair when someone left so the next person could sit down safely. The nurses were incredibly kind and made sure I not only felt comfortable, but made sure I had all the information I needed to have a successful visit. The results for my covid test came back in 2 days! It wasnt just a text or email, but a video chat with the same doctor who took my test. It was fast and efficient. I will be returning should I have to get a covid test or any type of care!

I have been there twice for totally different issues. Dr. Mark is awesome. Extremely friendly and concerned. He made me feel at ease immediately and the first time I had some additional questions after he had left the room and he came back and answered all of my questions extensively. I will use them every time I can’t get in with my GP. Very nice, clean office and the nurse and woman in reception were very friendly as well.

I was greeted when I entered the facility, which was clean and attractive. The intake form was brief but comprehensive. I was brought in for a Covid test quickly. The tester was friendly and efficient. The whole experience couldn’t have gone more smoothly.

Set up my appointment was really easy and fast. Due this hard times waiting period was expected and at the same time was super fast. All the staff was friendly specifically one nurse that I cant remember her name talk to my son in Spanish to call him down during his test. Thank you for all the work you guys do!!

I was feeling a bit under the weather and was looking for a Covid testing location near me. I found Midwest Express Clinic via google and filled out an appointment request. They accepted my insurance and had availability that same day (Saturday). The negative result came back 24 hours later on Sunday night!! I was extremely grateful for the quick turnaround, which they told me could take 3-5 days including the weekend. I felt the setup for testing was extremely comfortable and safe. I waited in my car in the back alley and answered a prescreening phone call. Then I entered through the back door into a comfortable, clean room where I received my test. I was the only person in this area aside from the nurse. I feel this precaution protected me and other patients as there was no contact with anyone else. Thank you for a great experience!!

Great service. I went in for a COVID-19 test and they were very professional and caring. It felt like I was among family. They address my concerns and superseded their customer service by offering me an influenza test and walked me through setting up my profile and giving me a copy of my results.

Conveniently located and has great hours of operation, so very accessible. The service was great too, I love that I could just walk in without two weeks appointment. The doctor did a good job checking me and explaining everything.

I went in for a really accelerated infection in my index finger. Prior to coming in I called with a few questions and the staff was extremely helpful in explaining the ballpark cost due to my insurance not covering me due to being out of state. I came and and the overall experience was great, I was in and out in no time and the relief I felt once my finger was drained. Definitely would recommend this place.

My third visit here was yesterday for an incredibly painful knee injury. The place is warm and comfortable and check-in is painless. The staff update the doctor before he/she enters, and in this case again the doctor was very personable and attentive. I dont what the deal is if you dont have insurance, but for me if I cant get an appointment with my primary and dont want to sit in an ER, I now go here, first choice. No bad experiences yet. I recommend you reserve a time on their website to cut down on wait times, although Ive experienced virtually none.

Im delighted with the experience I had - I was a bit nervous to go to the doctor in the midst of a pandemic but they handled everything really well. They texted me when they were ready for me so there was no waiting around, everything was kept very clean and I had my own sink to wash my hands, the doctor was really helpful and explained everything to me. Also they dont actually test for Covid at this site, so that reassured me too. Very happy and would recommend.

I made an appointment online and they texted me 10 minutes before I had to come in. So efficient and prompt! The offices are super clean, staff is super friendly, and the doctor was so nice. My treatment was fast and easy! Would definitely recommend getting care here.

I have been to Midwest express clinic twice in the last month! They have always been so kind and helpful and took time to hear exactly what my situation was. The medicine I was prescribed when I went in with a virus that knocked me off my feet literally had me feeling better the next day! Will definitely stop by Midwest express anytime I need!

Everyone here is so nice, efficient, and helpful. They really make you feel welcomed and ease any anxiety that you may have. I’ve never received better care anywhere else than I have here. Absolutely don’t hesitate to go here if you need help.

I didn’t have an appointment but was in and out in less than an hour. I usually wait at least an hour for my scheduled appointment with my PCP. From the person at the front counter, to the tech and nurse practitioner, they were all professional and nice. The person at the front desk was proactive in wiping down counters. I highly recommend!

We had very positive experience with this clinic. The reception desk was very friendly. They were able to tell you the price upfront. The services are individually listed and seem reasonable comparing to other urgent care places. The medical staff were very helpful and responsive to questions and referrals. They also followed up with us a couple of times after the visit. I would highly recommend this place to others.

Midwest Express is now my go-to for medical needs after multiple visits that surpassed my expectations. They are professional, friendly, and affordable which is hard to find these days in the health care world. They have found that sweet spot of being quick but not at the expense of quality service. One stand out is Michael Cecchetto! He is very knowledgeable and provides excellent care every time.

Smoothly run facility. Great staff and pleasant environment. I went in for Covid testing but my medical caretaker was concerned about another unrelated medical concern and offered amazing counsel. I recommend getting both Rapid and PCR tests because it’s not uncommon that Rapid tests provide a false negative due to the timing of incubation.Started off a little shaky because I took the time to register online by uploading documents but they weren’t captured - so go in a little earlier than your appointment to avoid delays in case there are issues with registering online.I also got results quicker than what was promised. I’m impressed with their quick turnaround despite the surge in testings. Great place.

They don’t tell you that there’s no x-ray until after the PA comes in for the exam even when you tell them ahead of time that that is what you’re visiting for. This way they can charge you for the visit when you would have rescheduled had you known. Really shady way to go about seeing student-aged patients who can’t afford two visits. Also barely put their hands on you during an exam for ortho related visits but are happy to prescribe you meds to get you out the door. Really disappointing service, much better off going to Physicians Immediate Care.

Morgan at the front desk provided some of the best customer service Ive experienced. She was very friendly, welcoming, and she made patients feel comfortable while checking in. Although I wasnt able to receive the type of service I went there for (due to external factors), Morgan was helpful with talking me through other potential options. This location is definitely a new top pick for me.

Midwest Express Clinic were friendly and courteous when I entered their establishment. They gathered information from me they needed and then told me, please take a seat. About 13 minutes later I processed. They are a good bunch of people. :)
