AFC Urgent Care Katy - Greenhouse Road

I visited the urgent care due to a skin infection on my finger. This was my first time visiting the location. When I walked in the door, the employee at the front desk made me feel welcomed. She greeted me as if I was a returning patient that she recognized. I knew at that point, I came to the right place. The nurse practitioner Michelle was amazing. She made me feel very comfortable and she made sure I was well aware of what I was being diagnosed with. She took good care of me. After I was done and went back to the front, they again, made sure I was ok and let me know if I had any concerns to please give them a call. I’ve been to other urgent cares in the past, but never felt as welcome as they made me feel. I’ll definitely be back for any other issues that I may experience. Thank you ladies for everything.

I recently visited [AFC Urgent Care Katy] and was blown away by the exceptional care I received. There was absolutely no wait time, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They took the time to listen to my symptoms and asked thoughtful questions. Im so grateful for the outstanding service I received!THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!

I was recently in a car wreck involving a bus. I came to this urgent care to get checked out as they came recommended. The X-Ray Tech Bryon was extremely helpful as well as the front desk clerks. It was quick efficient clean. I did have a copay but the visit was worth it.

Very professional staff and was in and out of there quickly. Got my tests that I needed and medication prescribed within an hour. They definitely live up to the expectations of Urgent Care. Highly recommend

I didn’t have to wait a long time to be seen by the doctor. The clinic looked super nice and clean, and the reception lady was super nice to us.

I had an excellent experience at AFC Urgent Care for a sports physical. Mary tge front desk staff was friendly and efficient, and I was in and out in no time. The medical professional who conducted the physical was thorough, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all my questions. The clinic was clean, well-organized, and made me feel comfortable throughout the visit. I highly recommend AFC for anyone needing a quick and hassle-free sports physical or any other urgent care service!

My wife absolutely loves that she can schedule through the app—its so convenient and makes checking in quick and easy. The staff is always professional, and she had seen Juliet Dontoh several times. We trust the care she provides each time she visits. While we do have a primary doctor, its often difficult to get a same-day appointment, so AFC is the next best option.  We definitely recommend AFC.

DO NOT COME HERE! They are the ABSOLUTE WORST! They over book. They don’t even have a friendly or useful staff. The front desk don’t do anything. They don’t help you with your check in. They don’t assist with registration. They literally just have you do it all. So, while you’re coughing up a lung, basically sick and feel like you’re dying. You must complete everything on your own. Although you just informed them you can’t properly function. Yet, you have to do it all for them since they choose not to do anything. I asked for the manager and of course they claim she’s not there. I sent an email and will be calling the manager. This is ridiculous. I will be filing a formal complaint. My biggest issue is they are working the front desk and supposedly the back too. If the company can’t afford to pay for a receptionist then don’t open up at all. The wait time was almost three hours. I literally brought my mother there at 6:30. Left at 9 something. The doctors are really nice and good but it’s not worth all the shenanigans. Don’t waste your time here. I recommend going to the next level urgent. They have amazing services!

Honestly , I think it was just horrible customer service when it came to the nurse practitioner she rushed the sports physicals. She check things on the paper that she didn’t even check on my child. She was really rushing no energy very dry. She didn’t make me feel comfortable at all. She made me feel like we were rushed. I don’t feel like that was worth $25. I paid $10 for physicals and was treated way better.

The doctor mixed up the results of my Covid and strep tests and mistakenly told me I had Covid. I got back to my car and read over my paperwork after my appointment and saw that I had tested Covid - negative and strep - positive, which were time stamped and reviewed by a nurse and the doctor. I had to go back inside and discuss with the doctor, who became defensive until the nurse stepped in and said that I was indeed Covid negative and strep positive. This interaction happened in the lobby, where anyone could hear. Overall, not my best experience at this location.

There was no one there when I got there and the took over an hour for no reason. Customer service not good at all. The so called Doctor was un sure of what services to offer. I would recommend going to another urgent Care not professional at all waste of time.

I would have to say I have had nothing but good experiences when coming to this location and the location by towne lake. The front desk staff are always friendly and it never seems like a long wait. I have even had an issue during one of my visits and it was taken care of and handled with ease. Definitely recommend these 2 facilities.

The only good medical person is the Asian lady. I’m sincerely sorry that I don’t know her name or really anyone’s name there. honestly she is the only medical professional that takes her job serious. She LISTENS to what I’m dealing with medically and diagnoses it properly. The other so called “medical physician” lack the skills to properly help anyone (doesn’t listen). She just wants her patience to go in and out as quick as possible.

Stopped by AFC for an emergency wound on my hand and they were able to see me right away with no appointment. The nurses were all super nice and very helpful with all of my questions. Dr. Michelle was the best coming up with a treatment plan and guiding me on next steps to ensure a seamless healing process. Will definitely be returning in the future for any medical needs! :)

Very quick in and out process. Annoying that I had to fill out the same paperwork that I filled out online but that seems to be a thing with doctors and urgent care centers. The receptionist was friendly and offered me water on the 110 degree day. Care provider was quick and held friendly conversation to distract me from pain.

Amazing urgent care, I come here all the time when my kids are sick, they always prescribe great medicine to treat them, they are quick and kind. Great doctors and nurses! Thank you for your great service!

I WILL NEVER visit this facility again in life. When you walk in theres 3people at the front desk no one acknowledged my presence. Very rude and unpleasant atmosphere. My daughter and I walked in and the ENTIRE STAFF INCLUDING the Doctor looking like WHY ATE YOU GUYS HERE? Mumbling amongst each other. One lady ask for my ID. She were very rude. Im not sure what world they thinking where living in but its not theirs. I will never recommend NO ONE to visit this facility. My daughter vital signs wasnt taken her weight or nothing. She was not touched like we were a disease.FNP Michelle Jones and Nurse Veronica Santos. I only gave this facility a one star only because they had nothing lower to rate the visit.

Great experience! I went in to get my ankle checked and was greeted promptly and professionally. Turnaround time was quick but not rushed. Nurse Practitioner was sweet and educated ! Will return if need too !

Thank you to the team at AFC, always friendly and knowledgeable AND fast! Waiting area, restrooms and exam rooms are always in pristine condition with plenty of soap and sanitizer nearby!

We had a great experience at AFC urgent care, it was fast and profesional.Juliet Dontoh, FNP, was very pleasant, took the time with us and personally call to explain the lab results.We knew we were in good hands.Don’t hesitate to go there.

Paperwork was so easy to digitally fill out! The Receptionist was wonderful and very kind while walking me through my first time process! I am not feel well from last one week I decided to visit this urgent care on Sunday. They medication they prescribed never helped at all today i started day 4 already been calling from last 3 days about my strap test result and condition but they said they never received strap test result back yet and want me to keep taking same medication the one never helped me at all not even 1%and giving me very bad metallic taste .Not recommendUpdate: Today is day 8 since i was seen and my strap test was done. Still heard nothing about results even after calling and checking.

The worst urgent care to go to. Front desk receptionist was very rude. I took my friend there for a visit due to coccyx pain. Front desk receptionist was on a phone call, and she looked irritated. After the phone call, she did not acknowledged us. We had to actively say hi and ask for help. I proceeded to tell her the reason of the visit, and informed her possible X-ray. Her demeanor quickly changed as we asked for something out of ordinary. Granted the time was 7:48 and they close at 8:00 but this was an urgent situation. She asked what X-ray in a rude manner. She asked for an insurance and ID, which she was very short and impatient as my friend gathers her items frantically. She quickly told my friend to sit even though we had follow up questions. She was rolling her eyes and huffing and puffing the whole time. She gave my friend a hard time about her insurance. She was impolite, short tempered and in empathetic. It is very sad that we had to ask for the insurance and the ID back and had to go to a different urgent care, where we had an amazing experience. I’m glad we did not continue with the visits and thank God the other urgent care was able to help us tremendously for a last minute visit. It is very sad that their mission statement is written and clearly states to be kind to patients. We did not experience any kindness whatsoever. Oh not to mention we are also healthcare workers and we work for an urgent care we were just under a time crunch. Never send any of your loved ones there. Save your money and go to next level urgent care. They will treated you so much better than this place. Very trashy place.

The front desk receptionist was rude and unfriendly, when I went in for my visit constant eye rolls and irritation. Even when I called to check on my results she had an attitude, in a rude manner she asked for my date of birth, told me there was nothing there for me and hung the phone up in my face. It was the light skin girl. Didn’t feel welcome at all. Take your money else where

The staff and doctor we extremely pleasant and made me feel very comfortable and safe. I highly recommend this urgent care if you have to come. They are top notch.

Do not come here….absolutely zero urgency in urgent care. We are the only patient here and it’s been 2 hours for a cut to be glued back together on a thumb. Staff is aloof no communication no nothing, it’s like a ghost town and we are just waiting and waiting and waiting then to be spoken to like we are annoying them when we asked about signing out.

They were very nice and assisted me within a reasonable amount of time. Their bedside manners were impeccable. I would definitely use them again.

Michelle is always amazing. This is the only Urgent Care I trust with my kids health and safety.

I was on my way to another Urgent care, but found out they moved so I saw AFC Urgent care and said Ill try them since I was in pain. My Experience was great Dr Jones and Staff was great very attentive to my needs. I will come to this one from now on😊

I have visited here 3 times now with Michelle and Mary they are awesome. As a healthcare worker myself I can tell they have passion and love what they do. My experience has been great. I appreciate the excellent customer service and care. I’m definitely making this place my primary location.

This clinic, should be checked. Im reporting this case to my insurance.2 times taking my kid, they dont know what they are doing. Just ready to get paid by the insurance. Giving medicine just by checking temperature and heart rates?. The ladies in front, think they are doing a favor. Take your business somewhere else. My son is sick, they send me a wrong pharmacy, I had to return. They said tomorrow, because it was closed already.

I recently took my son to this urgent care facility, and I couldnt be happier with the service. We were in and out quickly, and the staff were efficient and reassuring. I highly recommend this urgent care for anyone in need of quick and professional medical attention.

Woke up Sunday morning with a sore throat and was able to book an appointment that same morning. I was in and out within 30 minutes with meds on standby. Dr. Dontoh was so attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Came here to get a physical done - it was easy to accomplish with the staff here. Things were explained step by step, and I had no trouble with the process. Michelle and Ashley were great.

Great urgent care facility! I came in as a walk-in and there were multiple patients waiting….. I was seen, Xray-ed, diagnosed and provided referrals within an hour! Very friendly and caring staff!

My daughter went to the urgent care because her earring went inside her earlobe, it was a terrifying moment for both of us. The Dr. is wonderful and swift , I really appreciate that they called me the next day to check on my daughter I will definitely recommend this place to everyone . Wonderful services!!!

2nd time going. First time was for a chest xray for work (tb). And now for my 12yo boy who is running a fever. They are still friendly, caring, kind, efficient. You can also get bloodwork done here and not have to go to a lab. My kid never gets sick so it feels calming when the people taking care of your child are kind. Thank you.

The service/care was alright; wasnt fast intake even though nobody was there but wasnt a long wait either. The reason of giving them only two starts is their billing system. I have scanned through the paperwork (off course didnt read them word by word due to severe pain), you will be autocharged any amount the insurance doesnt cover.You wont receive any email notifications or bill but will see a deduction on your card. These people are so smart that they have you sign document electronically which states that you are giving them permission for the automatic charges. Do not sure a band card that doesnt have adequate amount for the copay.Im not gonna go back there for sure.

I’ve had to come here 2 times this past week and both times Mary has helped me she was very kind and helpful both times as well as both the NP’s I was seen by.

Zero wait time on a Sunday. The nurse worked well with my daughter. Dr. Michelle Jones was personable. Very clean facility.

I went to AFC after I had an accident at work, at school at Katy ISD. I tripped and hit the back of my head very hard on a solid wood door. I saw Dr. Juliet, the date of my injury, May 10, 2024, and then again on May 21, 2024. She was absolutely amazing, comforting, knowledgeable, and very, very gracious. I pray we will never need another urgent care, but if we do, we will be coming here. It’s the AFC on greenhouse, Houston, Texas.

Although, I had to go to an ER at a hospital after I got home and felt worse. I believe I received good care while at AFC. I’m not sure why I didn’t receive an antibiotic. ER covered it in the end.

It was the worst experience Ive had, the receptionist super despot, and with a bad attitude because they told me two opportunities that were already going to be 8 and they were going to close, on the other hand the only thing they told me is that they were not going to check my chest they were only going to test me for COVID and flu, the worst experience of my life than bad attention., I arrived with a lot of Asthma and difficulty breathing.

I came yesterday 4/8. I had an incident happened in the evening so I came here 7:45pm- As I walked in with my friend, the girl at the front looked at us and rolled her eyes at us. She continued talking on the phone and continued counting (Closing) money.Then after she got off the phone, she asked rudely why I was here. I informed her I need a Xray done because I had fallen real hard and landed on tail bone.Girl continued to look at very rudely and rolled her eyes again, making sounds going “UGH” and just being straight unprofessional. Once I finished my registration, she said my insurance was inactive and I’ll have to pay full amount. Self pay. I informed that it is active, mind that I just birth my child and I used my insurance? She kept saying inactive so she definitely lied! I verified with the HR-employment and it is active. PLEASE DO NOT LET THIS GIRL WORK IN THE FRONT EVER AGAIN. SHE WAS BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL AND CHILDISH! THE EYE ROLLS AND SHE CONTINUED TO SAY “UGH”I was beyond embarrassed for her despite I’ve been working in the health care field as well. Overall people have things and incident happen anytime. These situations cannot be controlled. They come to urgent care hoping they can get help. I would understand if it’s a sick visit and you wait all day to get seen.

I don’t go to urgent care often. I didn’t realize their services are limited. I went in for pain in my lower groin. I should have realized these type of facilities aren’t set up for this type of problem. They were cordial and friendly at this location. If you need any minor medical attention you should go here. I followed up with my PCP. Now I’m scheduled for blood tests and an MRI. I only went to the urgent care because the pain came on suddenly and I didn’t want to go to an emergency room at $400.

My daughters throat was starting to hurt before bed last night and became mire sire by midmorning.I had to check her out of school. Being new ti the area and 50 minutes from her physician I Googled a nearby facility that would take our insurance and AFC came up. From the moment we walked in the experience was outstanding. The receptionists were very helpful and knowledgeable. The doctor was just as compassionate and gentle and pleasant. And to top it all off, I get a concern call today, inquiring on her condition, making sure shes comfortable and starting to feel better. Again, the staff and management gets 5 stars in my opinion. I would absolutely recommend this provider!!!

The actual provider was very sweet and helpful. The issue I have with this urgent care is the front desk staff. I called ahead to ask if they took my insurance and the woman on the phone was very short and just replied “ yea” then hung up. To add to this, when we got there the two women at the front were on their phones and barely made eye contact with us. As a whole they were both just very unprofessional and when another couple with their child came in and asked about their insurance they were very short and not helpful at all to the woman who needed help.

The staff and the Doctor was very nice and professional. The Doctor whent above and beyond her call of duty to make sure I understood my diagnosis anong other things. She was a great help. My husband and myself will definitely be using this clinic for all of our urgent care needs.

Staff made me feel very dismissed with my concerns and how I was feeling and wrote off the weeks of illness I have been doing with. Bed side manner  needs a little work.

First time at this urgent care my experience was excellent the provider and nurses are kind and listened to what I had to say

My son was seen at this location. Although we booked an appointment and arrived 10 minutes before our scheduled time they still saw the walk ins before our scheduled time. Even though it shows on the app we were before the walk ins. The front desk people tried to charge me a $120 co-pay even though I suppose to have a $0 copay. I pushed back and they still charged me $10 copay which I payed only because we were tired of being there and my son was hurting from his double ear infection. In the end the doctor was really nice and thorough. I probably would not return unless other urgent cares could not see us. Nothing to do with the doctor.

Erica Wallace at the front was not professional at all. We were the only one in waiting area. One African American lady enters after me inquiring about some other front person and then her bill that she wanted to pay off! For ten minutes Erica and Michelle, NP continued to find billing no. For her while I waited. You can pay from the website. That would have been the answer. I interrupted and asked to be helped. Erica was not courteous enough to hold off on the person who showed up after us. Then she doesn’t call my son by his name and just said ‘let’s get your weight’. At that time she went back and refuse to call us back. She called me rude. After 10 minutes Michelle calls my son back. Michell comes in gets my son. She was not formerly at all. Both of them were not wearing their badge. Michelle jones, checks my son, but didnt check his stomach. She said she would do it after the tests. There was no physician on the site. Not even PA. I won’t be returning. I was not confident walking in that I would receive good care here. The personnel s attitude is a big deal. Holding a certificate or diploma or even degree doesn’t make you worthy of the position.

We were really happy with our experience. People were kind. Service was quick. We will be back.

I was not feeling too great at all and suspected an infection. They saw me early, tested me for the infection, confirmed it and sent off my script within 15 minutes. I was very impressed and very grateful for the streamlined process. Also shoutout to the man on admin who was patient with me as I was a little out of it while I attempted to write using the wrong side of a pen and kept mistaking the payment machine as having a touch screen. Thanks everyone!

They were quick to get me in because my mom was in another building a couple doors down. They were prompt efficient and I really appreciated everything. Great place to go when you need to get something taken care of.

We walked in, didnt have an appt and there was no wait. Paperwork took 5 mins and the staff was exceptionally kind and patient. My daughter was scared and they were great at calming her worries. They did great.

Horrible service! Went in sick seeking help but was denied services, they said I had to have been sick at least 10 days to get certain meds. I could have took my co-pay I paid and got over the counter meds to feel better. Very disappointed and a waist of time. Will not ever be returning!

I work for a pediatric practice and refer to this urgent care since theyve opened. Last night I arrived there at almost closing time and was treated amazingly. My daughter was the patient and I was more than pleased with the service from the check in to check out. Great service! Thank you so much for seeing my daughter.

Made a 12 appointment at left at 12:45 when receptionist said she didn’t know how much longer it would be- maybe 15 mins due to 1 provider available. I wish they would have told me up front that it would be a wait. Went to another urgent care and already being seen. The office was clean and new but don’t appreciate the lack of communication

Spent a total of 1.5 hours here. Check in was easy enough. The doctor saw me but didnt really listen nor was she realistic. I had complaints of a sore throat, runny nose cough and congestion. Ive also been traveling for work for the past 2 weeks in the Philippines and severely jet lagged. Her feedback to me was to chastise me for taking melatonin to try to get a few hours of sleep at night and to tell me to let work take a back seat?She immediately prescribes me a strep test, influenza test, and COVID test...even though my throat visibly did not have signs of strep after she looked at it. I knew I did not have COVID because I literally just had it a month and a half before. The flu or potentially some other virus could have been the issue so I dont know why she wanted to run all of these tests on me.After the flu test and the strep test came back negative, she then wrote prescriptions to a pharmacy I had not realized was not 24x7. I asked her if she could potentially have someone look up pharmacies that were open 24/7 and then represcribe the medications for those locations, but apparently they were too busy to do that at the time and they close at 8:00.Finally, when she did write the prescription it was simply for the sore throat. It wasnt exactly to address the runny nose or cough I had which were other symptoms I had brought up to her in the first place. Had she listened she would have realized this? She claimed I didnt mention it but my mother was with me at the doctors office and even noted that when we left.This is a good place to waste your time and money and potentially get some testing done but I wouldnt go here for actual medical advice. WebMD might freak you out but at least youre not wasting your money

Went by for a quick visit! Overall a good visit. However, upon arrival I was close to returning to my car.Upon entrance I had to speak to the Unit clerk...Then you are forced to write on a form the reason for your visit. Which could easily be stated while in a room. Some people are private, and I think its a bit humiliating. The rules definitely need to be revised!

I was very sick and Erica at Front Desk did everything to help me very professionally and nice.My Nurse was Uylosa she was so nice ask a lot of questions trying to see what was going on I like how I was treated and I had Covid.

Michelle was super helpful, and the whole visit took less than 15 minutes. I left with a plan, and with a prescription.

Everyone was wonderful from the very caring and personable nurse who checks you in to the caring and professional Doctor. I cannot say enough about this Urgent Care facility and their staff. I honestly wish I could change and use them as my primary care Doctor.

Great staff and service ! Wouldn’t go anywhere else and everyone is so attentive. I was amazed by the facility and promptness of staff. And beats any ER I’ve been too: clean, efficient, and knowledgeable providers.

Was having an awful morning, my daughter had strep and they did so well. Even while being difficult during the swab, the nurse was so patient and kind. Dr. Jones i believe was her name, was great. Everyone from the front desk to the nurses & the doctor were so professional & understanding!

Staff is very nice rooms are clean and their/ out time is reasonable.

For the second time coming to this place for a frog DOT test and they don’t have a certificate technician!!!!!Horrible service

Staff was extremely friendly. Wait time was horrible. Dr told my husband he was having a migraine and we told her that he has never had migraines. Blood pressure was high. She gave him a prescription for migraines. 30 minutes after taking that medication he was vomiting profusely and his head pain was worse. He ended up in the ER with a BP of 235/110 and is still in the hospital.We will not be referring this place to anyone.

I went in for a DOT physical. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The cost was reasonable since I am not currently working with my CDL and was a self pay. I would go back for this or any other medical assistance I may need urgent care for.
