AFC Urgent Care Washington Heights

I had an excellent experience at AFC Urgent Care Washington! From the moment my daughter and I walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. The reception team was efficient and had us checked in quickly. The nurses were kind, attentive, and took the time to really listen to my concerns.The doctors were exceptional—knowledgeable, thorough, and patient in explaining my daughter’s diagnosis and treatment options. I felt my daughter was well-cared for and confident that she was in good hands. The entire visit was smooth, timely, and reassuring. I highly recommend this Urgent Care facility for anyone in need of prompt, compassionate care!

I was brought here by a friend who had a similar pain experience, and went to a different AFC Urgent Care location. She mentioned having a good experience there, so I was hoping for the same. I was not disappointed. The staff was great, but I need this review to focus on Ms. Simone. What a wonderful, caring, hilarious, and kind person. I felt heard, advocated for, and well taken care of. I couldnt even cry from the pain because talking with her made me forget about it. Whatever reward you all give for amazing, amazing, AMAZING, nurses… please put her at the top of the list. While I hope to never come back, if an emergency arises, I know exactly where I’m going.

I went in for an illness and everyone there was polite, professional and quick. They took my vitals, tested me for COVID and the flu, I spoke to doc, got RXs and was in and out in under an hour.Then my gf got sick and I brought her a few days later. Same thing. Fast, professional and polite. Highly recommend!

Woke up before God to a hellacious sore throat. I made an online appointment for first thing today and was seen promptly after the office opened. The nurse gave me a nose swab like she was a southern grandma about to not take any slack from the kids. Holy moley Batman! I am very grateful the diagnosis was quick and the physician was very courteous. This office has also taken care of my wife several times with optimal results! The appointment was quicker than my regular GP which is exactly what I needed. 10/10 will return.

I would recommend the AFC Urgent Care and I would definitely go back. They were able to see and treat me in a very timely manner. The entire staff was very nice and professional , the nurse that was helping me couldn’t have been nicer. Thanks for seeing me and I will definitely go back when I am feeling ill.

I visited 12/23/23 around 1pm. The front desk guy was so nice and welcoming. Every urgent care I attempted to go to on this day were so rude, already fed up and unwelcoming. This place was the opposite, he made me feel so comfortable. Although I couldn’t be helped for my chest pain due to no ekg machine at the office, I was put in a better mood just by his presence. Thank you for that. Being nice and having patience goes a long way.

My wife and I highly recommend this clinic. Our daughter comes here often. We all agree AFC Washington Heights is the best in the area. We have tried others, but the timeliness and care by the personnel cannot be beat.

Always my go to for non emergency medical issues. Fast, inexpensive vs the time saved, good hospitality. Have spent hours waiting at a PCP but this place is usually in and out in under 30 minutes.

Beware - they send medical tests to out-of-network labs without notifying you. This happened to me, and I wasnt notified until 2.5 years later by a letter from a collections agency and potential hit to my credit score. Although it might seem like common sense and the decent thing for AFC to automatically do, be sure to explicitly ask them to send tests to an in-network provider.

All of the providers and front desk are so attentive and caring. Wait time is never an issue and im so lucky to have this urgent care in my neighborhood. 10/10 recommend!

Great customer service. They called my son in very quick. Checked him out very well that he didnt have the flu, covid, and infection in the throat. The wait wasnt long in the waiting room either. We were in and out in good time. I will come back if needed.

They get you into exam room quickly.Always courteous.NP listens well and explains things thoroughly.This urgent care has always been excellent.

Very friendly staff, the doctor that checked my son out paid attention to my concern and she did all the required test and despite it only just being allergy related she explained and also gave me a few sample of sample that could help him feel better. Also getting off an overnight shift I felt it was easy in and out and if I have to use the urgent care again AFC Urgent Care is the one for me!

Best Urgent Care experience Ive ever had. 5 minute wait to get checked in, once in the room, waited maybe 5 minutes for doctor. Very thorough exam, patient, kind, and knowledgeable. Wish I could use them as my General Practitioner!Hands down, best Urgent Care center in Houston area.

This urgent care is great. I have been several times and they are always fast and efficient. The nurses are polite and thorough. The doctors have been great and very collaborative. I highly recommend them for your urgent care needs.

Came in right before they closed with a twisted ankle. They were so kind and nice to me even though I made them stay later than closing. Took x rays and gave me all the indications and medicine to get better! Super grateful and hopefully I don’t have to come back but I if I need urgent care again, this would be my choice.

I’ve been here a few times and I am never disappointed. Very punctual, knowledgeable, and helpful folks. This time was for a simple check and they cook care of me within 20 minutes and I’m already feeling better

I highly recommend AFC above other Urgent Care choices I have used in the area. My sister used them in other states and said they were the best she ever used and liked them so much she wanted them as her Primary Care doctors. I was not disappointed at her recommendation. AFC was so thorough and professional. I left there feeling confident I would be better soon and I was. If you want great care, this is the only Urgent Care I recommend.

This place is amazing, my backup when i can not get a quick appointment from my primary doctor, which is often these days. The people here, from reception to doctors are kind, freindly and listen. Been here 5 times, all have been great experiences.

Best care ever. The staff and the doctor or NP were great. Very friendly and helpful. They took care of me right away. They took their time examing me and asked me questions of how I was feeling. I will definitely go back if I cant get in to see my doctor. Thank you.

I usually dont like to write reviews in general but I had to do it this time. I usually come here and Jose is always taking care of me. Today, there was this new (as she stated) NP that was helping me, her name is Veronica Riojas. When she was about to discharge me, she came to the front desk and told the receptionist “really? For this? Seriously!” while she was stapling my discharge papers..referring as if my situation was not concerning. I know this because my girlfriend was waiting for me in the lobby and she heard her making those comments right before she went into my room to let me go. She is so unprofessional for not taking her patients concerns seriously. If she does not care for her patients, she shouldnt be practicing in healthcare. I will not come here ever again!

I highly recommend this urgent care facility. If you schedule ahead online, your wait is very short. The front desk staff, and all the providers are very courteous and professional. Thanks to them, I received immediate medical attention, treatment and care.

I’ve had good experiences here before but my most recent visit was a waste of time. Kassey Burney was extremely dismissive and careless and got weirdly defensive when I asked the tech to see someone else.

Went to this clinic to get steroid shot for my inflamed poison ivy. I was told that my vitals were extremely high along with my heart rate and said that I had lots of swelling in my legs and were retaining water and could possibly have a staff infection. I told her my legs look normal and that I’d been out in the sun the last few hours. She said that I needed to get to a hospital or emergency room to have blood work done and other tests. I said that I’m just into visiting and flying home the next day and can see my doctor. She said that she didn’t recommend that and that I needed to go to the hospital and get checked out immediately. So she basically put the fear of death in me and my girlfriend, so we took a Uber with the urgent cares referral sheet to the emergency room. After $65 in Uber fees and 3hrs to be seen at the emergency room, it was determined that everything was normal with me and they didn’t understand why I would have been sent to them. All my vitals were normal and there was no swelling in my legs. So my trip to this urgent care for a quick shot ended up costing me $65 in Uber fees and what ever they end up charging me at the emergency room and 3hrs of my evening in which we had to cancel all our plans for the evening. We are highly upset with this and I would not recommend going to this urgent care. They either had faulty equipment, the dr didn’t know what she was doing, or just didn’t care since they were fixing to close! Probably the later! Signed, VERY UNHAPPY COUPLE.

Great and friendly atmosphere! Tito and Kat were exceptional and provided great service. They ensured that I was checked in on time. Ensured that I understood all the paperwork. They made me feel comfortable and ensured that my visit went smooth. Prior to leaving they asked how was my visit and if I had any questions or concerns. They also reassured that if I did that I am more than welcomed to call.The physician was nice as well. I wasnt able to catch his name but he was great and informative.

Excellent customer service from the reception to the assistant to the Nurse Practitioner, I paid $125 as self pay. Which is affordable. And the nurse practitioner included me in my treatment plan. He listened, gave me options and in the end my treatment cost $40 out-of-pocket. I would definitely go to this urgent care again because I trust them with my health.

I received prompt service during my visit. All my medical concerns were addressed after a very through exam. A new test was performed to further evaluate my condition along with a new recommended prescription to have filled.I am very pleased with the service I received.

First time visiting and I have nothing but good things to say about our visit. Son and I both went in not feeling well and walked out feeling great! Staff was very welcoming and the doctor was very patient and thorough was us. Adding to the the great service was the cost of care. My son is in between insurance but self pay paid prices were reasonable and affordable. We will definitely visit for future medical needs!

Ran over to this place after finding them in my insurance directory and they were open. It was less than an hour before they were closing but helped me so much. I had to get 7 stitches on my forehead and the entire staff was so pleasant and made me very comfortable. The NP was Sharde and she was so calming, precise in her work, and personable as she was fixing me up. They were all lifesavers to me especially after 7pm. I went back two days later to get a tetanus shot and the NP Luis looked at my wound. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and comforting. And lastly saw Sharde again one week post to get sutures removed and had a quick and pleasant experience. The assistants and front desk were all very pleasant and the waits were never too long. Great to know the are close by and open late. Will return if I need urgent care again.

Have used AFC Urgent Care twice within the past several years. Each time I received excellent, prompt and courteous service.

Went in yesterday due to my daughter not feeling well and the staff were really quick with getting us seen and super friendly! Dr. Lara was patient, sweet and informative. Definitely would recommend this urgent care!

We have great insurance that is accepted just about anywhere we go. After vising a number of places over the last couple of years including hospitals THIS place has proven to be the most efficient and effective in helping me get better fast. It was a team of 4 and from the moment I walked in I felt I was in good hands. They are kind, and they are on it. They work well as a team. All 4 did something to care for me during my visit. This place has proven over and over again through the years that it is worthy of being ourGo-To when we need care.The ONLY thing I am.not a fan of is the smell from the grease trap from the restaurant next door. I own restaurants so I know what that smell is and its not the clinics fault. Its their neighbors not cleaning it out like they should.I still give them 5 stars. You will too if you just want to get better and dont want all the B.S. that is common in so many other places. Their prices have proven to be better as well when we compared bills to other joints.Hope you feel better soon. These folks will help.

I have been to this facility many times over the years and Ive always been very pleased with the service.This past week, the doctor on duty went above and beyond to calm me down. He gave such professional advice and recommended a Hospital ER visit due to my medical needs.He could tell I was not feeling well and emotional due to being so sick and worried so the less time waisted he felt was best, so off I went to the ER.As I was leaving he did tell me he would call me later to see how I was.Just as he promised, I received a call later that evening from him to see how things turned out, I was just leaving the ER. I have never in my life had such extremely caring service from a doctor at an urgent care facility. Thank you so much AFC for being there when I need you.... and this is exactly why you will always have my service in the future. WELL DONE ALL!!

Their doctor diagnosed me with a bacterial sinus infection and prescribed antibiotics. Symptoms resolved, but came back a couple days after finishing the course. AFC would not give me another round of antibiotics without coming in again, so they could bill for another appointment.

The best urgent care there is. The providers spend so much time with you and listen intently. I know I’m in good hands every time I come here!

I visited AFC urgent care center just before closing and they took my young daughter in. She had chest pressures so they were kind enough to refer us out and not charge me. It’s important to note that while we were just getting there another person came in and they were told due to the time we were the last patients, this upset the woman and she persisted to act enraged while my daughter was crying. Thankfully, Tito, at the front desk, acted professionally and calmed my daughter down and diffused the situation. 10/10 recommend this place!

From the first day I came to this Urgent Care for my accident, the entire staff has been truly caring and a positive experience for me. They are still continuing to help me as much as they possibly can and as supportive as they possibly can be. This is all noticed and is very much appreciated.

Was in and out very quick, took my insurance and would have to say they were very honest with me and sent me on my way. They are clean and seem to be able to guide me in the right direction. Most places just treat you like dollars signs but not here. Highly recommend if you need urgent Care..walks in only.

Stay away from this place! Try Memorial Hermann or another reputable care center.I went to the location in the Heights because of severe back pain. I had been to this location with the same complaint 2 or 3 times over the last 5 years and I had always been treated with prescription muscle relaxers and a steroid shot. The nurse practitioner refused to administer the steroid shot because he said my blood pressure was too high (severe pain tends to cause a persons blood pressure to rise!!)I was given a Toradol shot to address the pain. However, no one offered to recheck my blood pressure after the Toradol had had time to take effect. Ideally, my blood pressure would go down after the Toradol and I would have been able to receive a steroid shot.When I got home I really started getting upset because the treatment plan was only addressing my symptoms and not doing anything (i.e. steroid shot) to promote actual healing of the underlying injury.I called the location back and asked to speak to the attending physician. I was told that the attending physician was seeing patients and that i would receive a call back. 7 days and counting later, I still havent received a call back. They got their money and moved on to the next victim!

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. We arrived at 7:30 pm (they apparently close at 8) and they refused to attend my husband. This clinic needs to be more careful about their patients historyi visted this clinic on Saturday to get a PPD Skin Test, which allows me to know if i do have or if i don’t have the Tuberculosis, i had to get this test since im in EMS school. i called before going and the girl who answered told me it was $30 Upon arrival it ended up being around $40. A really nice guy at the reception helped me, he was probably the only good experience about my whole procedure here, i fulfilled a chart with some questions Where THEY ASKED ME IF I WAS BORN OUTSIDE THE US. which i put yes, yes i was born outside the us, i was born in colombia. Putting all my trust in these healthcare workers i continued to get my stest, it was not that bad and the nurse who did it was rlly good. She told me to go back after 72 hours to get my results, as they said i went back after 72 hours and my test came up POSITIVE, i though for a second i had Tuberculosis and i would have to get under medication for 9 months to get rid of that desease. I was scared because i would have to drop off EMS School and go under treatment and cost me more money, and then de Doc asked me if i was born here in the states which i said no, then he said that in countries outside the US, usually people when they’re babies we get a vaccine called BCG, that is actually for tuberculosis, i didn’t knew about it since i got it when i was a little baby. So when doing this test i ended up testing POSITIVE because the vaccine made a reaction to the test, not only i was scared to death, i spent money on a treatment i didn’t needed and SHOULDNT had gotten. Now i gotta waste MORE money on the actual test i need. Tbh i didn’t even cared even tho it was their fault for not checking the questions chart where it says i wasn’t born in the states, i asked the nice lady on the front what’s the test i should get and she told me and X-ray and it was $75, i told her i was going to call my insurance to see if there was any place i could get it done and covered by them but due to martin luther kings day everything is closed, i had to get it donde that same day because 1st i was scared i might had Tuberculosis and 2nd it was something i needed to send to my school and i was overdue so send it. So i told the lady i would be back to get it there since I couldn’t get it w my insurance, i probably went back like 1 hour after i got my results and the place was closed, it was 2pm and they had a paper outside stating they were going to close at 5 due to the bad weather. I just simply went to another UFC urgent care in upper kirby, and oh surprise the x-ray was $195. Like wth I was told it was $75 now is more than a 100? I payed and i got it done in less than 30 min, but my real question is, what if it this was something else, luckily it was just a test i wasn’t supposed to have but next time it might be someone with a allergy for a medication and no one looked at the chart and it could end pretty bad. Me being part of the healthcare system knows that this is dangerous and if it were something rlly bad this clinic could be sued by malpractice and put in risk peoples lives, like cmon. Is not that hard and it makes me sad and angry that i belong to such healthcare system, which is already bad and things like this makes it even worse.

I had a good experience at this urgent care. I would recommend that when your ill you see these professionals. I have made this mt go to place.

Came to this location on a Sunday and they had me in and out within 35 minutes. Everyone was nice and helpful. I was satisfied with the outcome of the visit.

This is by far the best urgent care I’ve been to. Very quick and addressed my issue so I won’t have to come back. Very thorough and answered all my questions. I was a walk in as well.

They treated my son for pneumonia and not only was the treatment successful but the attention was top notch.thanks!

They was pretty good! had me in the back within no time, ran tests, recommended when i should go for further testing. They said they’ll be calling to check on me which i’ve never had any place say/do that.

AFC was the most pleasurable urgent care I have ever experienced. The check in process was easy, everyone on the staff was friendly and greeted me immediately, the facility was clean, and most importantly I was in & out. It’s close to home and they accepted my insurance. Definitely a 5 star rating across the board!

I’ve been coming here for years and always had a great experience, with the new staff and doctor recently they’ve become completely incompetent. Refused to see me because I had “too many bug bites” and told me to go to the ER. What? The ER for bug bites that are 4 days old… I just needed a doctor to look at them to see if I need prescription ointment. I went to the urgent care around the corner and they saw me just fine. Will never be returning here again.

I always choose AFC because they are efficient, friendly, and quick. They have my records from previous visits making the intake process no trouble at all. Thorough with the exam, testing and diagnosis.

Somehow my daughter always manages to get sick on a holiday weekend. Thankfully AFC Urgent care has accommodating hours and minimal weight times. Their website allows you to schedule an appointment online so you don’t have to sit in a waiting room and I had many options available to choose from. Upon arrival for the appointment, we were seen right away. The staff is very friendly and supportive and the nurse practitioner who evaluated my daughter was knowledgeable, caring and followed through with everything he said he was going to do. This is my second visit to AFC and I highly recommend them!!

Computer issues that I was told had been going on for a few weeks. Was getting a drug screen and they asked me to empty my pockets and put contents on counter in hallway for everyone to see and have access to. No locker to lock them in while taking screen. Would not recommend this facility.

This location is a winner every time excellent and unbiassed health care. As a medical professional myself my wife and I had nothing but the best treatment hands down. The river oaks location is straight racist and total garbage.

All of this covid 19 stuff is a complete scam! I went in to take a Covid-19 test for a trip to Hawaii and then I receive a bill in the mail for an office visit. Nothing regarding Covid-19 was billed to my insurance. I tried to resolve this issue for over a month. It’s best to just say you don’t have insurance! Otherwise patients beware because your bill is coming!!

Front desk staff was friendly and very helpful, CMAs showed empathy and were very caring while I was in great pain. Doctor on call was awesome and helped me understand what was happening to me. Overall, I got the help I needed in a very impressive time manner. Best AFC location I been to. Thank you AFC I will be coming back!

I was in Houston on business and developed a medical condition that needed immediate attention. Of course, I didn’t know where to go, and just Chose the urgent care closest to my hotel. The process was quick. Everyone was incredibly nice, and it could not have been an easier Experience!

I came in sick, within 5 minutes my vitals were completed, and within 5 minutes of waiting the doctor came in and saw me. Prescriptions were sent and filled and I was able to start the medicine the exact same day. I have come here multiple times for COVID testing and each time they are patient and helpful. Strongly recommend if you dont want to deal with long waits and impatient staff you may find elsewhere. Thank you to the providers here!

Didn’t catch any ones name but soon as you come in you’re greeted with a smile and dimples! The young lady who took my vitals was so nice and cool, she made it feel like we’ve known eachother all the while. The doctor and her team mate ( really wish i knew her name because she was so fun and funny ) were also so delicate and nice. The visit was only 10 minutes! But this staff has a lasting effect!

Best urgent care around. Very friendly and prompt service. You can call ahead for wait time, but I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes, even when busy. They will give you medicine too rather than sending you home with just a recommendation to gargle salt water.

Highly recommend this urgent care. I was able to walk in without an appointment on a weekend to get an X-ray. The staff was polite and the facility was clean. The nurse practitioner on staff, I believe her name was Annie, was so patient and helpful. I would definitely come back to this location again just because of how great my experience was meeting with her.

The staff was very welcoming and genuine. The nurses were very accommodating. They made sure I got all the proper treatments to help me recover from my bronchitis. I would 100% go back. It was a pretty quick visit as well.

Went in due to a muscle strain, the doctor there she was amazing, as well as the other staff, got my treatment in under 30 minutes those people really care about their patients. 24 hrs later I feel great. Spectacular from start to finish. The person who took my call and answered my questions and then booked me an appointment was amazing. I called back and asked More questions and she was lovely. My registration process was easy. I had an appointment in 30 minutes. The Provider Annie was beyond anything I could hope for. I am feeling better after 2 days. I am so glad I decided on AFC and Didn’t go to an ER. This will be the only urgent care center I ever use again. Thanks for caring!

I needed a rapid result Covid test and I was referred to AFC. I had never been here before, however, I was greeted in a friendly and professional manner. Once I explained what I needed, I was given clear instructions. I went back to my car and scheduled an appointment on my phone for the same day within an hour. Everything thing went smoothly. I spoke with a professional on the phone, who showed concern, was tested, received the results in a few minutes and was ready to go. It was a great experience. Wonderful staff and services.

With the Houstons seasonal changes and bipolar weather I get I’ll quite often, and AFC Urgent Care has been my saving Grace. Super professional and most importantly good service and quick. I’ve been to a number of other urgent cares, and hands down the best one I’ve been too. Thank you (I never write reviews either, so if that says something).

DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE. This urgent care is a bunch of crooks! (I will say, the doctor we saw was very nice and we had a good experience until our bill came.)We got a bill for $88 from our visit and tried to pay online. Their online system was down so we had to call in to pay. They confirmed the $88 charge over the phone, but then the charge showed up for $240 on our bank statement. When we called to clarify, they said it showed we only paid $88 on their end and were not helpful besides giving us an email address to email? Very unhelpful! We will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau. The way healthcare in America takes advantage of hard working people is absolutely shameful.

I have been several times to AFC with overall positive experience.For our travel we needed a COVID test. This time the experience was HORRIBILE! Not only were we charged a co-pay for emergency visits rather than urgent care for my plan, also the test results which were supposed to be emailed and texted to us NEVER arrived... were now 12 days later (back from travel). Also the way the personnel at the front desk and facility behaved and treated me was unacceptable. They refused to call my insurance to sort the co-pay out and said that I had to call them. When I was doing that I was told they wouldnt listen to the information from my insurance anyway. I felt in a situation of my word against yours that you cant win as a customer. The persons were rude, did not want to deal or solve the situation... and on top I dont have the results yet. I was told they were just doing there job. Will NEVER set foot back in this place. Working on a full refund for services not rendered AND being abused in the way I was treated.Stefan C.

I have been here a few times on the weekend when I’ve been sick. It is always easy to get an appointment and quick to be seen by the doc. All of the staff I have encountered have been lovely and helpful. I will continue to use this place!

I was seen promptly by a very nice PA. I was very happy with the suggested protocol for my illness. Easier than trying to get a doctors appt.!

Service from beginning to end was great. Check is was easy and fast to get me in. Nurse who checked me in before seeing the doctor was great and sweet as can be. Doctor was excellent and kind! All around great location to go into and be taken care of on a short notice.

I went in because I cut the top of my hand and needed stitches. They got me in pretty quickly. Erika was very nice, knowledgeable and straight forward. The nurse practitioner Ms. Annie made me feel at ease, answered every question honestly and made sure I understood the severity of my injury. I left with reassurance that everything was going to be OK. Im glad that now have a place to go if an emergency ever arises again.

Good, pleasant support staff, thorough visit, nice Dr in and out within an hour considering it was busy! Would recommend.

Our visit was quick and very welcoming. Took my daughter in to get her ears checked since shed been itching a lot. We feared it was an infection but it was just wax. Thank you. You all did a wonderful job handling the evening.

Front staff and the nurse that took my vitals were very friendly. The Family Nurse Practitioner was not very caring though. I went in with complaints about my toes being slightly swollen around the nail bed, and the FNP did not come in the actual room and inspect my toes, she opened and closed the door behind her, asked me what was wrong etc... and stood by the door the entire time she was talking to me, wearing her mask and gloves, as I sat on the table explaining to her my symptoms. She said it was an infection and prescribed me antibiotics. She never once come over to me and actually look at my feet. She glanced at them from the door, it was so odd. I asked her if the area needed to be drained and she said no that you didnt want to mess with it because it would make it worse. I felt like maybe it had grossed her out, and if that was the case shes in the wrong profession. I went to see a podiatrist a couple of weeks later after I finished my antibiotic dose because the problem didnt go away, and the podiatrist said I probably didnt need antibiotics and that the area needed to be drained, that that is what you do in that situation. The podiatrist drained and cleaned up the issue and sent me on my way. It kind of upset me how I was treated at AFC by the Nurse Practitioner, the paperwork said her name was Sharde Angelle.Another thing I didnt care for is that when you leave, the front desk prints out your paperwork with all your medical history and medication, and I didnt like that the front desk has access to that sensitive information. Maybe the nurses should print that out and give to you.

Dr. Carrillo was amazing! I had a terribly painful cold and felt 10x better just a couple hours after leaving the clinic due to the treatment he prescribed. I was able to continue the work week instead of having to stay in bed for 2 or 3 more days to sleep it off. His bedside manner is wonderful. 10/10 will be going back.

The ladies of AFC Urgent Care are beyond amazing - so helpful, kind, professional, attentive, and spoke in ways that made me feel understood, as well as they communicated clearly to me in ways that were easy for me to understand (not heavy medical jargon). I was in and out very quickly. Attended to with care. The staff made the visit feel fun, and when is visiting a doctor ever fun? They made me laugh and smile and feel comfortable. All around great experience. 10/10 recommend this urgent care.

The front desk staff, Ms. Erica, and Ms. Annie all provided excellent service. They are all very kind and caring, and they ensured I had the least painful experience for my procedure. Very quick service done and very efficiently done as well. I was seen within 10 min all of the times Ive come here. Definitely recommend - thank you so much for everything!

This is the worst place. I went to this clinic in 6/2022 because I could not sleep. I was practically begging for care I couldn’t take it anymore. I was told the doctor could not prescribe anything because they could get in trouble. I felt so anxious and was having suicidal thoughts due to lack of sleep. I thought I just needed sleep. I asked the nurse, what can I do? She said “I don’t know but we can’t help you” and informed me i could leave. I never saw a doctor, NP or PA. No one asked me a question about what was going on what symptoms I had. I had never experienced not sleeping for 2-3 nights straight and I could not think clearly. The next day at work I tested positive for Covid. I am glad my spouse and friends were supportive and helped me through it. I ended up getting better and did see a doctor that prescribed a PRN medication to help with anxiety and sleep. This place is a medical clinic if they can’t help you they should at least point you in another direction.

Quickest and smoothest urgent care visit I’ve ever experienced. Staff was great and super responsive when I called back with a question later that day. Love that you can book online.

Erika was amazing!!!! They had my rapid test done so quick! My appointment was at 6:45pm but got there early and they were able to accommodate. The were so helpful, patient, and fast. one of the few places that were able to guide me through the paperwork that Hawaii requires. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Best urgent care I have been to… EVER! Friendly, professional staff… Appointment held on time. Loved the nurse practitioner so much that I wish she could be my primary care provider!!

Today’s visit was so smooth and fast but amazing! The nurse practitioner Annie Robertson is amazing! So was Erica the nurse. The front desk young ladies were so sweet as well and welcoming. They were ALL so nice and sweet and answered all our questions. I will definitely come back if needed.

I visited 12/23 and again 12/26. Everyone working there is amazing. Efficient, quick, and the doctor was fantastic.

The staff was extremely kind and caring. They where considerate of my needs and helped accommodate me throughout the visit. The doctor was well educated and answered all of my questions and offered good advice. Service was quick too. I’d highly recommend if you’re hurting to come here.

Great service! They took a while to see me but I understand they were busy with a few other more serious matters. The staff were super friendly and very down to earth. The doctor was amazing and very much on the same page with what I was going through. I filled out one form when I got there and they handled everything else. I definitely recommend this facility to anybody coming in from out of town who needs to be seen by a physician.

The lady at the front desk immediately acted like she was disgusted that I was there to be seen for a work related injury. When I told her what I was there for she asked me if they had sent paperwork with me I told her no. She immediately says well I don’t have your paperwork. But yet she had not even asked me my name yet. My employer had not only called over several hours prior to my arrival but also faxed my paperwork. After explaining to her she still kept saying real loud and just smacking her lips. I don’t normally say anything but I had to confront her about her poor customer service skills and she did not like that one bit. As far as the nurse practitioner I seen she was very very nice very understanding and very explanatory in her treatment and her thoughts on my work injury. Due to the lady at the front desk unless I have to go there for a work related injury I would not return to that clinic nor would I recommend anyone go there unless they want to be humiliated.

Love love love this place‼️😁 The staff is always friendly, professional and helpful. I’ve been going to this urgent care for 3 years now it’s my go to. The NP Mrs. Annie has an awesome bedside manner , very knowledgeable in medicine, her diagnosis and the care given is always accurate and to the point. I couldn’t be any happier. She is a blessing I pray she never moves from this site.

Great service in a timely manner. However, do not leave without confirmation (written or digital) about your diagnosis and/or prescription. They did not send my husband’s prescription to the pharmacy and we had to wait for the clinic to open the next morning and for them to send it to the pharmacy because they forgot to send it the night before.

All the staff members were absolutely fantastic. They took really good care of me They were friendly and attentive. I also appreciate the honesty from the attending doctor. The 4 stars is only because I was not offered an X-ray. I asked for it for my peace of mind. Other than that the service was excellent.

I would not recommend this urgent care center to anyone that actually needs help fast. I have been a total of three times, this will most likely be my last time. I have had to wait in the waiting room for over an hour every single time and it takes about half an hour before you see the doctor. However, I do like like the doctor. She is very nice and professional. It is a great place to go if you are not in a hurry and have time to waste. The office is clean, its a nice area, and there are nice places to eat right around the corner

First time I had been here, highly recommend! Front desk staff of Tito and Kay greeted Me and were helpful and so very nice. Bre who took My vitals was just as pleasant and nice . Dr. Carillo was very good about listening to EVERYTHING i had to say . Treated Me as a Person, not just a patient.Did not have to wait long at all.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This urgent care is really good! They have been super quick and good and everyone is so nice and helpful! It’s the best urgent care I have gone to here. They really do a great job of not wasting your time by waiting! Plus you can get in the queue online as well rather than just waiting there. I think this was my third time there and I’ll continue to go back when I need something.

I had a good experience. The doctor was able to figure out what was wrong with me and provide treatment quickly. Staff was very friendly and the facility is clean. When I first arrived I had to fill out s sheet of paperwork & was called back by a her nurse within 5 minutes... she took my vitals & got my background and I was in room within 10-15.. now my only con of this visit is the fact it took the doctor 25 minutes to come in the room. That time felt even longer cause I was miserable. But after she came in everything went pretty fast as they gave me an antibiotic shot which started to work fairly quick. Over all good service

Update: my daughter and I just visited again with a very badly hurting toe. It was Saturday afternoon and we were taken in back within 2 minutes of finishing 2 forms to sign. We were then seen by the nurse immediately. When she finished the doctor immediately took her to X-ray. He reviewed it immediately and then a second opinion by radiologist. We were done start to finish in less than 20 minutes. A+ service and attitude.Every where else we went there was a minimum 2 hour wait, or as in the night before closed and refused to help us. Here they kept Covid testing outside and regular urgent care inside prompt friendly service, especially our physician. Will definitely only go here in future for urgent care.

Whenever I cannot get into my primary care doctor I come here. They are fast, caring, and consistent. Over the last three years Ive been a patient here three times and each time Ive seen the same health professionals. It speaks to the great work they do and a company that retains their employees.

I have been coming to AFC Urgent Care on Yale since 2018 and I have always been completely satisfied with the excellent customer service and high quality medical care provided during my visits. The staff are continually friendly and patient with all questions regarding billing, insurance, symptoms and treatment. I never feel rushed and feel the staff genuinely care about my well being. Unless seeing my GP doctor is required, this is my first choice for the services they offer.

When I walked in I didnt need to complete any paperwork because I had been there several months ago. After waiting less than 3 minutes, I was taken to the exam room. Again, after a 2-3 minute wait, the physician entered; she was thorough, professional & empathic. After questioning me about my symptoms & examining me, she made her recommendation about treatment. The physician and both Medical Assistants were courteous and professional. I experienced a quick and highly satisfactory visit!

Very quick and thorough. As soon as I walked in, they had me update my address and pay my co-pay. The instant I turned everything in, the nurse called me back. The nurse was very blunt and to the point but it didn’t affect her care at all. She asked all the necessary questions, took me to a room and within another 5 mins the doctor was there to see me. Doctor was very friendly and made some jokes to lighten the mood. Overall, I was very satisfied with the care I received and doctors recommendations.

After calling 5+ pharmacies with no luck getting a flu test approved, I finally called AFC Urgent care. They quickly got me in to get tested and took great care of getting a prescription ordered for me. Definitely recommend to others in need!

Came in with suspected pinkeye. They were quick to see me and recommend a course of treatment. Great experience there.

I received stellar attention at this Urgent Care clinic. I had injured my wrist falling down and needed my hand x-rayed. I was guided patiently, kindly and efficiently through the checking in process; at all times i was told what to expect next which helped me relax, trusting that i would b cared for. The NP who attended me was excellent at listening to me and getting the complete information. The x-ray personel were careful, kept me safe, accomodated my request for a full lead-protectin shield, made sure the images would be clear for the radiologist to give a report. In less than 30 min the report was back, a diagnosis and treatment explained to me very clearly. All my insurance claim procedures were done with like efficiency. I am grateful to all the staff

While I preferred walk-ins for covid testing, scheduling an appointment was easy and convenient. The lady that did my swab was not rough as Ive heard other peoples experiences elsewhere. She was gentle but through. My results were email to me (my preference). This was very convenient.

Great staff and service! Super easy & fast. Not like your regular urgent cares where you have to sit and wait. Making an appointment is great especially because you just pull up and call! Would go here any time I needed anything.

Great clinic! I did a walk-in appointment on a weekday for an upper respiratory infection and was seen very quickly. All of the staff is very personable and the clinic is very clean.Honestly, one of the best urgent care clinic experiences Ive ever had. I will definitely go back!

Im not sure what the ladies names were who helped me today or on Tuesday 06/21/22 - but I scheduled a COVID test here and they came out reasonably fast since it was a drive thru test and they were both exceptionally nice and polite with pleasant attitudes. There was only one lady today doing the testings and even though she had a bunch of cars to attend to herself she worked very fast paced and with a smile. 10/10 on her part!

Wow! What a pleasant surprise to find an urgent care that is a pleasure to work with! From the front desk staff to the nurses and doctors, they are really nice, helpful and just awesome!I had an ear issue and they took the time to look into my ears, clean them out carefully and even recommended and printed out a white noise machine to use instead of earplugs that have been contributing to the problem!Such a relief to be cared for by people who are positive and helpful, especially in a time where customer service is hard to find!TWO THUMBS UP AND FIVE STARS!!!

Incredible service, quick and empathetic to me as a patient. Staff was informative and great consultative communication. The lady that came out to my car and also did the consultation this morning was so friendly. Had a Covid test done on the spot once arriving and it results came back in 10 minutes. Highly recommend for any urgent care visit.

This is the BEST Urgent Care facility I have ever been to. Everyone I came into contact with was kind, professional and treated me like they CARE. I called at 6pm and the phone was answered by a friendly voice. She confirmed that they accept my insurance. Once I arrived, there were about 4-5 people ahead of me. The same young lady that answered the phone was at the front desk she did my intake quickly. I waited no more than 30 minutes and was called back to see a nurse. She tested me for the flu, and unfortunately it came back positive. The nurse patiently listened to me explain my symptoms. She then communicated everything to the nurse practioner. The nurse practitioner was a pro and I was confident that I was in good hands. She talked me through the medicines she was prescribing. Made sure that I understood that I cannot go to work for a couple of days. The whole experience from walk-in to check-out was 1 hour and 15 minutes, all for the cost of my co-pay. Amazing!

I loved this office! The doctors and nurses were really friendly and extremely fast. I showed up 8 am Monday morning with the flu and was out of there with all the testing done and a school note by 8:45! When I got there, there was no wait and when I left, 2 patients were waiting to be seen. The medication prescribed was a lifesaver and I was so happy to be in and out so quickly. I will definitely come back!

Went to the AFC Urgent care and check in and waiting process was super quick. I got there around 6:30pm and left about 7:15pm. My medication was needing authorization from the doctor at the office. So as they were about to close 10 mins before 8pm they took down my information and my pharmacy information and submitted what needed to be sent. Plus the front office staff member were very helpful and professional. Will recommend this urgent care to all family members and patients too.

I was able to make an appointment and see a doc in a Telehealth setting quickly and easily. I needed this because I was sick with a cold and contagious and needed some relief for the extreme symptoms I was experiencing. From the scheduling to nurse’s desk to the physician everyone was attentive, kind, efficient and professional. I was very happy with my experience and would recommend them to anyone who needs to see a doc urgently.

The receptionist were amazing and helpful. They were so kind and super funny. The doctor completely amazing and very informed. I like how they are still keeping the COVID regulations that made me feel even safer. The whole experience was just so amazing and comforting. Thank you!

Receptionist and Dr were all very friendly, efficient and informative. We were in and out In well under an hour with no wait, all from the comfort of my vehicle. This place is a scam. I chose to go due to my primary care doctor not having any appointments and my cold turning into pneumonia or bronchitis. They charged my insurance as an ER clinic, but I didn’t even see a doctor. Not sure if they didn’t have any on staff that day, but I couldn’t be prescribed certain medications due to not seeing a doctor. So why am I being charged as though I saw a doctor?The nurse I saw had horrible bed side manner and told me that he lets bronchitis “run its course”…. I’ve never heard that in my life. My primary care doctor told me if it got worse and I wasn’t feeling better after completing medications she prescribed, to make another appointment for this reason. Then the nurse randomly asks “do you have diabetes?”…. IF I DID, IT WOULD BE ON MY CHART. Did you not look it over? Just horrible. He recommended taking allergy medicine. How does allergy medicine cure bronchitis? He walked out without explaining anything and wanted to run tests, which I had explained I already had done by my primary care doctor, to get more money out of my visit. All of the staff was rude and I won’t return to this clinic. I’m not sure how they are rated highly on here, but go somewhere else.

No wait time, they always see me immediately, one of the few places left that does the PCR Covid and flu test. But, the 2 stars are for falsely advertising as physician staffed. There is no MD or DO on-site, only a PA-C

Arrived and was greeted by the front desk. Filled out info needed. The sweet woman who took the vitals was very professional. Was put in a room and waited no longer Than 5 min and the NP arrived. The Whole visit was seamless and professional.

My husband and I scheduled a PCR test at this location on February 3rd, 2022. The process was quite simple with a series of questions to answer online. We arrived 5 minutes before our appointments and called the number indicated by their text. They ask another series of questions and told us that someone would come to our car and do a swab test shortly. Within 5 minutes, they came outside and completed our tests. She indicated that it would take about 24 hours to get our results. We received our results via email about 10 hours later. We highly recommend this location and will use them in the future if needed.

Everyone here so friendly and welcoming. An excellent choice for run of the mill health issues.All my issues were addressed.

I was very pleased with the customer service I had received, from the point of entry until I was seen by the NP. Now, that I know the type of service I will receive, I will return in the event of an emergency. I wish that I could give 10 stars! They were fast and efficient as well.

Professional, friendly, clean and thoughtful. There was only 1 doctor working last Saturday 5/28/22, and the office was busy. The doctor was thoughtful, he did not rush my appointment, he gave me practical guidance on my condition and sent me on my way. Without a doubt would suggest this location anytime.

My experience from beginning to end was exceptional! All staff members were pleasant and friendly. Mrs Annie was very thorough and professional in her assessment, explanation of my condition, and develop and explanation of my treatment plan. I walked out feeling confident that I would be better. I would highly recommend this practice and will not hesitate to return for future care.

This is the best urgent care I have visited. I have been here twice, and both times my health concerns were treated seriously and with the appropriate attention.

Walked in the office for an appointment made by my companies HR department and spoke to the staff member upfront who was beyond rude and dismissive telling me I’m not in network. She didn’t even check. After I explained that I was and I was not going to leave until she spoke with HR all of a sudden I’m in network. That’s just 5 minutes of walking in the door. The care I received was minimal and if not just barely up to par. I would not have gone to this location if I had not been directed there. There are more quality emergency care sites with better staff . I would avoid this location at all cost.

Charged $240 just to be seen for a regular visit with no testing done. Waited an hour to be seen and at one point stepped out to see if they had forgotten I was there. Spent less than 2 minutes with the NP.

Came here for a Hawaii Covid test and it was very quick and easy. Very professional and courteous staff especially Erika and Esperanza, they worked with us in seeing us way before our appointment time since we arrived early from out of town. I highly recommend this place.

I’m confused on why I was charged over 200$ . I have insurance and it’s Texas insurance. And they stated my insurance was out of state? They couldn’t explain why. Just that “there was a note” but initially it was “no co-pay” interesting ..

I usually don’t do reviews but this place needs to be held accountable. I arrived before they opened because I was needing to get a simple drug test and report to my job. I arrived inside the front desk clerk was pleasant however the lab tech was not pleasant. I waited to get my drug test done and she comes and tell me that my paper was not scanning. That was a lie. So I’m having to go somewhere else to get something done that usually takes 5 minutes. So I wouldn’t advise coming here for a drug test.

This was our 2nd time using AFC Urgent Care Vintage, they are quick and always so nice. Very thorough as well. In and out quickly and everyone was so pleasant and friendly. Highly recommend. Visits were both for a teenage boy for a dislocated pinky and then a bad sore throat. (Strep)

By far the best experience I have had in an urgent care or er. The staff was wonderful, super nice and looked after my son as if he was the only patient there. Nurse on staff made my son feel comforted and let him know what to expect and so he had a better experience. They answered all my questions and informed me on everyrhing I needed to know for him to heal as best and fast as he could. Before we left I felt they did everything possible to make sure my son was alright. Recommending it to everyone i know.

I went to AFC for covid testing. I scheduled it via video conference & the woman that answered was nice, patient, & made sure to answer any questions. On the day of my test I called & she came right out to my car. Test was over in about 15 seconds. This is my second visit at this location & I have never had a bad experience. I really love the people that work here. They are always really helpful and pleasant.

I got turned away from my usual clinic because I had a sore throat a month ago... Im vaccinated so they had me come in right after they opened and got me scripts and a shot of steroids. There was virtually no wait and very attentive staff. Today I came in just randomly to get my ears checked out and again no wait and really nice, attentive staff! Thanks for being so helpful and get me feeling better quickly.

This was my first time using this clinic. I was signed in, examined, and out the door with a treatment in house and a prescription in about an hour. Everyone there was efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. Id definitely go again if I have issues in the future!

I was a walk in not realizing I needed an appt for a COVID test. The staff were very accommodating and provided me with the info I needed to make an appt. As a one was available within an hour I elected to wait in my car. As the staff knew I was already there they went out of the way to test me early. They were very friendly and my visit went very smoothly. I would use them again and also will recommend them.

My friend had a very bad experience. None of the workers that day were courteous or respectful. There was very loud arguing going on between the doctors and the nurses while in the waiting room. When a nurse was told that my friend had been there for an hour and a half already, she simply replied I dont care, I dont care. The nurse also gave my friend a shot by biting off the cap of the needle and spitting it across the room. Overall she was disrespected and not properly cared for from the HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL.

The app was easy to schedule a covid test.The staff was knowledgeable of what was happening. The staff nice and respectful. The test results were very fast and easy to view. Thank you for your service and I will recommend your clinic to others.

Had to come for a Covid test to see my OBGYN, Nurse Erica was the kindness person for sure! Very caring and office staff was very quick and attentive. This office definitely deserves more than 5 stars. Will definitely be one of my top recommendations!!!

I came in about 30 minutes before closing, asking to be seen. I didn’t have my insurance card on me and they needed the physical copy to have on file because I was new. The lady at the front desk didn’t turn me away and did everything she could to help. She waiting patiently while I called my provider and created an account. It was great being serviced by someone who wanted to do their job. The service was great and very patient and helpful.

Front desk was so friendly. Had a bit of a wait but understandable...everyone is sick right now. They were honest about their wait time. Once I was back, the nurses and nurse practitioner were very friendly, knowledgeable and listened to everything I had to say. Thank you for great service. Would definitely recommend this clinic.

This place is amazing. The staff made me so calm and it was so easy to talk to them!! Tito, Josselin, Kat, and Jose were amazing and I trust them with my absolute life!! Quick quality care !!

Only waited 20 minutes after filling out info and giving insurance details. Front desk receptionist was really nice. Once taken back, the nurse was funny and made me laugh even though I was feeling poorly and with a fever. Then I only waited about 2-3 minutes to see Dr. Briones who could not have been nicer and attentive as well as funny. This place really made the typical experiences I have had with urgent care in the past a better one. I was dreading it but my family pushed me to go and I reluctantly went. I’m very glad I did. Turns out I had strep with fever. 24 hours later after a steroid shot and antibiotics I’m feeling better! Thank you Team for making this an easy, in-and-out experience!

Great front desk. Nurse and doctor were patient and listened to my mothers concerns about her foot pain. X-rays were taken and explained. Overall GREAT experience with the facility and personnel!

Went for a rapid COVID test and process was efficient. I made an appointment the day before so not sure if that led to such a seamless process. Only recommendation is for them to provide typed results, they just handed me my results on an letterhead piece of paper and handwritten notes, which honestly doesn’t look official if you need to validate your results with an 3rd party.

I have had 2 experiences here. The first I went when I sliced my finger with a knife and the second time I referred my mom who fell down the stairs and ended up with a broken foot. Both times the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and we were in an out quickly. The physicians were knowledge and reasonable. I will definitely continue to go here!

I was a walk-in on Sunday with very sore throat, hard cough and body aches. As a fully vaccinated person I wasnt concerned about Covid and had no fever or trouble tasting food. They took me right in and quickly gave me an exam, no strep, got scripts. Was improving within hours. Great experience and highly recommend.

Wasnt feeling well. Wait time was not long at all. Jamie was very attentive to my concerns and getting me well. They were busy but did their best to keep me informed of the steps and what happens next. I have been here several times. They have always been very nice and wait is not bad. Will def be back.

Finally an urgent care center who accepts my insurance. It was beyond nice to be able to get competent help on a Sunday morning. The staff here was so much fun to interact with, everyone had a great attitude. I used ZocDoc to schedule my appointment but the website is out of date or something so my doctor wasnt actually there, nevertheless they let me see the doctor who was there without even thinking twice. Three days after my appointment I feel so much better, thus they took care of me too. Super clean! I was almost happy to pay the copay if thats the kind of care I get from it!

No one wants to go to the ER, but the experience at AFC Urgent Care was as good as it gets. Most importantly, they saw me within 15 minutes of when I arrived and the appointment only took another 15 minutes. The staff was very friendly and professional. Id highly recommend this location instead of any ER.

This was by far the best urgent care experience I’ve ever had. All the employees were extremely helpful and very welcoming. Getting proper care is hard and these lovely ladies exceeded my expectations. Thank y’all for making this a painless experience and taking good care of me

I needed to get a Covid-19 test and they were close with good ratings and appointments when I needed it. The process was relatively painless and even when there was an issue with my pre-registration they handled it quickly and efficiently. The results came back quickly as well. Would definitely come here again.

Since I found this place about 2 1/2 years ago I have never stop coming to get cared for. Every time I come they are so nice and they get me taken care of in a timely manner. The staff makes you feel better by just walking in. The physicians gives a thorough detail of what’s going and prescriptions they are giving you. I love this place and I drive from anywhere to here, whenever I can’t see my regular doctor.

I received excellent and timely care at the AFC Urgent Care Washington. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Very little wait time. Staff was very motivated and kind.

I’ve been coming here for the past year to get covid tests and have overall had a great experience until this week. I scheduled my appointment and showed up early for a covid test. I waited over an hour after my scheduled appointment time to have my test done. I was told I would receive my results within 24-48 hours. After the 48 hour period, I called to check on results at which point they told me they could find no record of my specimen. Awesome waste of well over 2 hours of my time on top of the 48 hours that I didn’t go get a test elsewhere because I thought it was handled. Unacceptable.

Had to get a COVID test before travel. This place was quick and easy. You fill out all info on line to schedule your appointment, call when you arrive, answer a few more questions via phone and they come out to the parking lot to swab your nose. They called with results in 30 minutes. Super easy, fast and convenient!

This place it great. I’m visiting Houston from out of town and do not have a doctor here. So when I can down with a bad sore throat, I needed to find an urgent care center. I checked the online reviews and AFC Urgent Care looked like a good candidate based on the reviews and proximity to my location. I went down and couldn’t have been more pleased. The staff were extremely friendly and they got me in and out in a matter of minutes. I feel like I got plenty of attention and they went out of their way to make sure I was well cared for.Would highly recommend this facility to anyone needing immediate healthcare. The front desk staff was welcoming. They did not make me feel like I was bothering them with my medical issue. They were professional and friendly. Not once was I harassed about my vax status! The Nurse Practitioner that saw me was wonderful, friendly, empathetic, kind, and offered sweet condolences towards my purpose for being in Texas. I was seen promptly for checking in, triage, Dx test procedure, and the results review with the Nurse Practitioner. NP wrote a prescription and I was able to pick it up at the Walmart located in the shared property.

Best urgent care in town. From the minute you walk in to the time you leave, they roll out the red carpet. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. The receptionist and nurse practitioner were caring and genuine. This was our 2nd time.

The staff were kind and very helpful. They took care of my medical needs. Have a wonderful Christmas holiday.
