Sterling Urgent Care

This place is deceitful. I called around similar places trying to find the best deal since we’re cash paying customers (no insurance) and this place said they were $140 for the initial exam. I went there because my son had ringworm on his cheek (Wrestling Family) and I wanted to get him the prescription strength anti fungal cream that kills it in 72 hours because he was leaving for a wrestling camp in Iowa. So we’re sitting in the exam room and the doctor comes in and spends less than 60 seconds with us because I tell him what it is and the cream that we want. He said he would get it called in and asked me what pharmacy we wanted to use. Easy breezy right? Nope. I just got another bill in the mail for $110. We didn’t do x-rays, they didn’t have to do lab work, and he didn’t even have to diagnose it. We knew what it was. I just can’t get the prescription strength cream without a doctors note.. The places we’ve been to that are similar never had an additional charge. Anyway, plan on $250 for your exam not $140. I’ll never go back and I’ll stick to the places we know that have transparent billing.

This review is not about the medical care, as Ive had very limited experience with that and it seemed fine for my minor issue. This is a single star due to an absolutely atrocious billing department. I visited for an eye infection on a Sunday with insurance. The front desk said they couldnt verify insurance on a weekend, but would do so promptly the following morning and issue a refund right away if they could verify. I was expecting that process to begin the following morning (June 10). I gave it a couple weeks and saw no refund, so I started my series of 6-7 follow up calls at that time. Each time I spoke to someone who said the exact same script, about it needing to actually go through insurance first and it showed that it had now, so they would issue the refund right away and it would hit our account in 7-10 business days. Then, I would wait ten business days or so, see nothing and call again. This now for over 90 days. Same conversation each time. One week ago, I jumped through all the hoops to get through their frustrating automated system to talk to someone again, told them the same promises were not acceptable and at his point I didnt believe they would issue the money as said. I was obviously mad enough this time that they had someone else contact me from an Idaho Falls number soon after stating that no records had been kept of any of my conversations, so they had no recourse for things never being submitted. He said nothing ever showed being processed for my refund, but that he would do it right then and it would be 24-72 hours. I waited a week and had my husband call again today, supposedly got the same guy (supervisor?) and he acted like it could be 30+ days. I truly believe at this point they just think/hope people will forget about these refunds. I dont think this is a legit, quality run company and I fully intend to be an annoying bug in their ear, in person or otherwise until I get my refund.

Went when I wasnt feeling well. Forgot my insurance card. 150 to be seen. Stated that I had 30 days to get my insurance card to them and they would change the billing. Was seen with vitals and questions that was it. Then they recommended er visit. Got them my insurance card. NEVER REMOVED THE CHARGE AND BILLED ANOTHER 340!!! For vitals. Be careful with these folks. Not professional. Asked for a callback from billing, instead I got a call from their collections.

Can confirm with some of the other low stars that the front desk does not really operate well when it comes to billing/finances. I was informed I needed to make a payment because I had not met my $3200 deductible. I do not even have a $3200 deductible, it is much lower and I already met it. I have no issues making payments when necessary, but the staff was not friendly or remotely accommodating

Horrible horrible horrible. My son needed to be seen so my husband took him in and the front desk lady kept questioning my husband on who he was to our son. My husband kept telling her he is his dad..Then proceeded to tell us to “just go to the hospital”…his issue was not an emergent issue. It however was and urgent issue and you guys are and urgent care..Very very very poor patient care.Don’t work in health care if you’re not willing to see patients and turn them away.

Overall I liked the doctor, he was professional and showed he cared. However, paying 140.00 for a cash patient to be seen seemed pretty high, but I was in a lot of pain and was like ok & since my normal physician wasnt answering, I paid it at time of service. I was told if they need any more they will bill me- which makes sense if labs were done, xrays, etc...I had none of these done here and spoke to the doctor for maybe 5 minutes before being directed to the E.R. My thoughts were- I should be paid up since I had nothing actually done right? Very much incorrect- A week or so now later I received a bill for an additional $110.00!! For what? I was told my 140.00 was for being a new patient and to see the physician---ok so I am a new patient and I paid to see the physician....again, where is this additional 110.00 coming from? My son had staples placed in his head at 11pm at night at the pediatric primary health and I still didnt have to pay above 250.00 for his appointment....this is insanity. Based on other reviews- they might as well collect the $250.00 up front instead of the $140.00 :/ or at least inform patients hey another $110.00 is on its way to you goodness. Although I liked the Doctor, he was great, I probably wont be returning just due to this bill surprise.

To my shock I should read the review comments more before I went to this place. I went there because it was available to see me right away. I was having gout pain and just really need so strong pain medicine. I cant get it without a doctor note. When I went there, I was informed the basic fee is 140 for a doctor visit. I of course agree. I talked to the doctor like less then 10 mins really. I didnt do any test at all. Doctor come in, looked at my foot and I told him this is gout and I have it before, many time really. I am in pain and needed a doctor note so I can get the gout pain medicine. He didnt do anything other than see me and talk to me less the 10 mins. When I went and paid for the visit, I though it would be the end of this. No I was wrong. I got a letter I the mail saying I own additional 110 more. I was confused why do I own more when I have paid what they have asked. I called them and spoke to a person over the phone. They basic told me that I have signed a contract saying the basic visit is a 140, but is really is 250. I then asked then why dont at the visit the reception didnt just tell me is 250 instead of 140. I felt I was cheated and refused to pay more because I done what was agree upon. They told me if I dont pay they will put in collection and ruined my credit. I got even more furious and tell them I am not paying. I can pay them the 110, but refused to do so becuase of principle. It like you go to a restaurant, ordered food, finish eating your food, then paid the bill, but got a letter in the mail for additional service charge. Does that sound right to you.

If I could get zero stars I would. I had swollen lymph nodes and my muscles were aching for weeks. I finally went in and asked how much it would be to be seen because I’m self pay. The girls went into the back and then came back out and said 150.00 and we are going to do this good faith estimate for your visit which means that if they have to run any tests we promise if it’s over 250.00 you can just throw your bill away. I’m like okay great. This doctor listened to my lungs and my deep breaths and touched my lymph node and basically said she didn’t know and to wait 3 months and then come back because then we would have to biopsy my lymph nodes. She offered me a mono test but said it wouldn’t do anything because it’s a virus but it would just let me know. I declined that because I wasn’t going to waste the money. So I leave with nothing being done and a doctor telling me she doesn’t know. A week or so later I get a bill for an additional 100 dollars to bring my total to exactly 250 dollars. I was fuming when I saw this. The way the good faith estimate was explained to me was if we ran any tests this would be the limit we charged you well you didn’t run any tests, you didn’t do anything at all. Why not tell me from jump that it would be 250 dollars to start and then say if we have to run tests it will be more. It’s deceitful and wrong. I would have never been seen if I would have known it would cost that much.

I needed a couple of stitches. The reception and nursing staff were friendly and helpful. Dr. Holly was awesome! She got me stitched up and fixed in no time. I would definitely go back if I need to.

Getting sick or needing medical attention is challenging enough, but when you are from out of town, it makes it more challenging. I am in Idaho on business and needed to see a medical professional. Stopped in and saw Nicole (MA), Rachael (PA Student) and Nicole (PA). Everyone was very nice, very professional and very helpful. The young lady at the front desk (whos name I didnt get) was also very pleasant. The intake process was quick and easy and my issue was resolved. Thank you from your Philly patient today :)

If you have any pre employment don’t come here or any Sterling! I’m a travel nurse and needed some things done. I called the one in Boise told them everything I needed and they said come on in. Got there and it’s “ sorry we actually don’t have the fit test for respiratory were out of it so you have to go to garden city” whatever crap happens. Go to garden city “ sorry actually we don’t have it either you will have to go to Meridian”. Meridian you sit in the lobby for 35-40 minutes just waiting to get back there. Than when you do they are snobby that you have to have your pre employment stuff done. Which yea it’s a lot but kind of your job and even called again to let y’all know. Well than hour later finally done and they basically screw my labs up and send them to late where they expire and I have to re do them. They put the wrong info on fit test that now delays my contract start date and they are not easy to get ahold of. Front desk is usually in the back room laughing by the sounds of it where you just sit out there waiting. Highly encourage go somewhere else!

After not feeling good for a week I decided to go into Urgent Care. Having never been to a Sterling I was a little apprehensive. I couldn’t believe the incredible service I received. From the front desk to Pam my amazing MA to Dr. Adam. I felt like they truly cared about what was going on and not interested in just “treat n street” care. He listened to my questions and concerns and never made me feel like he was in a rush to move on. He gave me options and throughly looked over my med list before just prescribing more meds to take. I highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of care. If I could make him my PCP I would in a heartbeat. Thank you Sterling for remembering what patient care really means.

The physician I saw was very nice and got me what I needed to feel better. However, the front desk charged me $140 for my deductible before I could be seen. I explained that I only had a $25 copay for urgent care. That did not matter and they said I still needed to pay the $140.When I received my explanation of benefits from my insurance it stated my portion would be only the $25 copay. After a few week I hadn’t heard from Sterling regarding my reimbursement. I called and they said I did have a credit of overpayment and they would start the reimbursement process now. Why wasn’t it started when they received payment from the insurance?Everyone check your insurance EOBs vs what they have you pay up front. If its more call them to get your money back.

Had to get a employment drug test so I went to this location. I was the only one there. Took my sample but unfortunately didn’t have enough. The intake tech was bothered and rude because he’d have to stay “3 more hours” because I had to retake it and he couldn’t leave. He talked to me like I was a child and belittled me for not having enough of my sample to test. I drank enough water to retake it within 30 minutes again. So I was able to retest fine.And guess what???? I find out my sample was lost. So now I have to retake it again!!!I will be going to a different clinic to retest, that’s for sure. Extremely unprofessional!!! Do not go here!!!!

Everyone was very welcoming and kind to our family. The front desk workers gave juice and fruit snacks and a sticker to my daughter which made her so happy and helped her wait for my appointment. The medical assistant and PA were both extremely sympathetic and had great bedside manner, and they were able to get me medicine to help me feel better before I even left the office! I had been visiting another clinic in the area and did not have a good experience there, but AFC really helped me right away and they are the ONLY urgent care I will go to from now on.

They are rather harassing with invoices. Texting, emailing, mailing letters daily. I already sent payment and do not need to be harassed repeatedly for payment that is already in the mail.

The front staff is always polite, and the doctor was very through and professional. I see a lot complaining about check in but thats every urgent care, of course if youre a new patient they wont have your info so you need to provide it to them, theyre not magicians.

My mom went in this weekend and with a possible broken foot. She was send home with a prescription for a boot that she wasn’t able to fill as well as no pain medication . She was told they would not give her any medication . Three days later her foot is even more swollen and no pain medications ETA: Change perception to prescription

The medical professionals (Nicole Thomas (PA-C), Landon Favero(PA-C), Adam Racowsky (PA), Katherin Bodine (NP) and JiyoungAn (NP) I have been treated by at the Merridian location are a credit to their professions. They have provided top quality medical care. At the beginning of the year, I was having a reoccurring medical issue that was unknowly life threating. Thankfully for their care, advise, and referral to the proper specialist,I will be receiving life saving treatments. Also, The intake staff is always friendly and professional.

I have to say, Landon did a great job, if not phenomenal. The guy can really connect with people and does a great job of making a patient feel comfortable. Can’t say enough about the job he’s done for me AND did what no other doctor/PA does: FOLLOWS UP. Gave me a courtesy call a few weeks after - to see how I was doing and answered additional questions I had. Seriously - he went anice and beyond to see how I was doing. Hopefully this guy doesn’t get ‘picked off’ by another office (keep him around!) because he’s one of the better ones I’ve ever been to and I’d go back to him for any other needs - in the future.

The staff were very friendly and the facility was clean. I went on a Sunday and there was no wait. The doctor I saw was surprisingly knowledgeable about the chronic infection I have and he spent a lot of time with me. He really listened to everything I said and I felt like he genuinely cared about me getting better. I would definitely recommend this urgent care. I have been to 3 since I’ve been in the Boise area and this will be the one my family and I will use going forward.

The experience is like dial up internet with a side of elevator music. It seems under staffed, been waiting over an hour for a drug test.

I was visiting from out of state, taking care of a family member after a major surgery. I needed an urgent care and from the minute I walked into this clinic I was treated quickly from the entire staff with efficiency and compassion. I come from 25 yrs in Healthcare and Customer Service and appreciate the excellent care I received during a very stressful time, from the front desk, to the MA and the provider. Thank you

Great FAST care! Primary Health had an hour and a half wait so we came here and it was less than 15 minutes.... In and out! Staff was great and knowledgeable! Will definitely return when needed.

This is a low class and irresponsible business establishment. There are plenty of other places to choose in the area and I highly recommend avoiding AFC Urgent Care in Meridian. I received services back in August for pre employment. AFC was supposed to charge the company for the services but instead they charged me. I never signed anything saying I would be responsible for the charges but AFC just did it anyway. I started receiving notices that the bills were not being paid. I called AFC and asked them to fix this error. They said yes it was their error and they would fix it. It’s now December, they did not correct this error and I’m getting delinquent notices indicating they are taking me to collections. I called again and now they say it’s my problem to fix not theirs. What a shame that AFC can just decide to be irresponsible and screw the little guy because they can get away with it.

I have been so lucky to find this place when I was in pain. The personnel is so friendly, so compassionate, they make me feel good. My pain felt better due to their friendly care. This includes Landon the PA, Jasmine FD, Layla MA. I wish that my primary care doctor was here

When you’re not feeling well, no one likes to sit for hours in a waiting room at an urgent care to receive treatment. But that was not the case at AFC. I was seen within 10 to 15 minutes and every aspect of my visit was professionally, politely, and carefully done, I am very pleased with how I was treated and the care that I was given

Each person I interacted with was personable, professional and thorough. I received excellent service for a removal on my skin and had questions answered about overall health. Every room was clean and orderly. I would come here exclusively for quick and urgent care.

I went there for my back pain checked up. Fist I asked them if they accept my insurance and yes they did. And asked if I have copay and they said nothing. Few months later I received a letter owing &250 . So I called my insurance and they said I have copay of $ 150 so I paid. I thought I am paid. Just recently I got a call from collections of debit service . Found out that I owed 100 dollars. They didn’t contacted or email me or phone call so that I am aware of. Today I called my insurance and fix it for me. Their billing department sucks. They are lazy. My insurance said there was a claim for $ 100 dollars . It made me stressed. I will never go back to them.

I don’t even know where to begin. This staff is so unbelievably sweet and kind.Dr Renee Person did such an amazing job along with their staff. I had a massive ingrown hair or bartholin cyst severely painful. Dr Renee knew exactly how to treat it. I was crying and nervous from a bad past experience at a different* location/different state for the same treatment and thinking it was gonna be the same painful experience. But it was definitely not!!! I did not feel one thing she numbed it perfectly. I am beyond grateful to her !!!!!!!!🥹❤️❤️

AFC Urgent Care Meridian did a good job of taking care of my son, who needed stitches on his forehead. Doctor Katherine did a superb job of helping my son to feel calm and relaxed, while she put a few a stitches in his forehead the other day. Dr. Katherine & also her helper/assistant nurse were both cool and calm under pressure, with a softly crying boy (who was otherwise nervous about getting stitches above, & quite close to, his right eye -> from his goofing off at school with his friends, which then caused him to run right into the sharp metal corner of a computer charging desk/station!). Even though my son was not seriously injured, it was a deep enough gash in his forehead, to cause him to need 3 big stitches & also the soothing & professional care of some good health care workers that you have employed there. So, thanks again for helping my son out with necessary medical care, during a busy Thursday! It is very much appreciated. Keep up the great work! We will of course be back in less than 10 days time when my son will be back, to have you guys remove his stitches, at that time.

We went in and only waited for around 5 minutes. The lady we saw was knowledgeable and everyone there was caring. I will always recommend this place to anyone I know

The best urgent care experience we’ve ever had. Our son had a laceration. They got us straight to the back. In and out in less than an hour.

I visited AFC Urgent Care Meridian Ustick because I had slipped and fell on my deck. The staff was very friendly and took the time to explain what was happening and what they could do to help me get better.

Best urgent care I’ve ever been to. The provider was more thorough than even my family practitioner. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. I got in quickly as well.

Walk in experience was overall really great. Test’s all ran fast and quick results right away. Dr provided a print out of our visit and plan and said to call anytime for questions. When needed, I was able to talk to the Dr. again with questions answered. Thank you all for helping me and my daughter out today! Will recommend to anyone needed quick care.

This is the only place I’ll ever go. They are fast and kind and smart. So glad I found them.Edit. New owners. Awful customer service. Hands you a computer and offers no help.

I was visiting my sister and brother in law from California this weekend when I started experiencing sever abdominal pains. I had a hard lump on my left side by my belly button. I came to AFC Urgent Care in Meridian. The service and staff were amazing! I was seen quickly and made very comfortable. The office is very clean. Dr Landon saw me and quickly diagnosed me with a hernia 😣. He pushed it back in place and sent me on my way without any pain. I was relieved. I highly recommend this urgently care office. This Urgent care exceeded my expectations 100%, they treated me with such care and kindness.The medical team gave me respect, and I felt that they actually wanted to take care of me.So thankfully for the medical team here.

Check in process is annoying, front desk is really rude, and my copay for urgent care is $10. They tried to charge me $70. Never been charged a $70 copay with my insurance for urgent care. The $70 copay is for specialists.

All the staff was very friendly. The nurse and doctor were easy to talk to about things and able to help me when other places didn’t. Would definitely go here again.

Prior to this, I hadnt had a positive experience at an urgent care facility before. I brought my toddler in feeling very overwhelmed, and super sick. Shannon greeted her with the most gentle reassuring voice, provided us some very yummy drinks and free refill! Now this woman will now be addressed at SS, BECAUSE SHE OUR HERO! Shes the real MVP, the backbone of this company, SHES SUPER SHANNON WHO DESERVES A RAISE!!!

Excellent care! I live in Alabama and found myself ill while visiting my sister in Meridian. Called other clinics over the course of a few days with less than helpful/friendly responses. When I reached the AFC clinic on Ustick I was so impressed with Theresa, the receptionist. She was genuinely kind and extremely helpful. I was triaged by Angel - also very kind, respectful and compassionate. The bar was set very high for Dr. Sturkie but he also exceeded my expectations! He waited in the exam room with me while I called my clinic in Alabama for information necessary to proceed with my treatment! I cannot say enough good about the staff I encountered during this visit. I was sick and away from home and they went above and beyond to make sure I received the care I needed! Many thanks!

I wish I could give 0 stars. I went to this facility during peak CoViD times for rapid tests that my employer required. They incorrectly billed my insurance for these tests and attempted to charge me over $500. When speaking with the billing department they informed me they would resubmit the claim to my insurance and to wait for another bill to be mailed to me. I received a collections notice instead of a new bill with the correct charges. There were multiple charges now sent over to collections. The front desk staff has always been rude. However I must say the doctors and nurses are great. Will not be returning to any of these locations. Had many negative experiences but this has been the final straw.

I was so appreciative for the medical and support staff who was there for a 2nd opinion on my babys burn on such short notice. From the check-in to the care and goodie bag I took home, we felt at ease during a scary situation. A+ for everyone there and so appreciative of everyones kindness and professionalism. Thank you!

Dr. Landon attended to me. He was kind, concerned, prompt, did not waste my time, diagnosed my issue, spoke very frankly about my options, offered his advice, allowed me to make my decision without bias or undue pressure and did what I asked him to do. Everything you hope to find in an attending physician. Thank you for your professional care!

Took my 7 year old in because our pediatrician didnt have openings that day. The staff were great and Kim Odom was kind and listened. We got the antibiotic my daughter needed and she gave some great tips to help her get better that I hadnt heard before.

My family of four had to get tested due to exposure to COVID-19. This location is the only rapid testing facility in town currently (9/25/2021). After calling on Friday to find out about their process, I decided to arrive early to get a spot in line. I arrived at the same time as another person just before 6am. If you want to get your test completed before 10am, this is what you need to do. Theres just too many people being required to get tested for work and other reasons.As for AFC Urgent Care, the staff is incredible despite the circumstances. They have limited resources due to shortages and they still gracefully handle everyone. We need to have patience for these folks to do their job efficiently. The great attitude they show is just a bonus (I dont know how they do it).Jen, who I spoke with at the desk, was exactly who Id want to hire if I needed a person to do anything that required attention to detail, a great attitude, and the ability to know that bad clients dont get to dictate the process. She handled a Karen with ease and was professional throughout the transaction. Thanks to Jen, my wife and I used this situation as a teaching moment for our kids who also witnessed Karens idiocy. So thank you Jen for being awesome at what you do! We need more of you!Fortunately, there are more great people here. Noah and Chloe were also great, and Angel was our MA and he was so good with our family, the kids loved him. Our nurse was about as friendly as you can be as well.Very long story short, these folks are worth your time when you are in need of care.

The main front staff is super friendly. Only thing they have going for them. Provider was dismissive and didn’t seem to have the time for my visit. I made an appointment and still waited over an hour to be taken back to a room where I waited another hour and a half. The lobby blares sing along Disney movies so loud if your actually sick it’s absolutely unbearable. You can literally hear other patients talking to the provider in their rooms. I heard things that would breach HIPPA laws. I also heard the back staff discuss how stupid my name was, because they didn’t know how to pronounce it and how the screaming sick toddlers needed to shut up as they got a lollipop, we can hear everything you all say from our rooms. Be professional.Finally, I went in for a cough, sore throat, ear ache and was diagnosed as overweight with bronchitis. My symptoms have nothing to do with my weight and I’m only about 10 lbs over my bmi.I will not be returning and will advise if you value privacy and decency to go somewhere else.

Went here three times over nine days. Each time there was no wait. Staff were friendly. Care was good: x-rays taken, prescriptions given, etc. Appreciated being able to get in so easily. Will go again.

I cant thank the doctor and nurse enough for the quick and accurate care that I received. My ear was hurting me terribly, and these fine folks helped me on my way to healing. Thank you, and may God bless you.

Everyone was excellent! Polite, helpful, so friendly. The doctor was amazing, listened to me, walked me to the door. Prescribed medication that was much needed for a sinus infection. Feel so much better today.Thanks to the whole staff!!! ❤️

My wife and I visited this urgent care center a couple of months ago (March 2023) to get Paxlovid after contracting COVID. Before receiving Paxlovid, you have to have your blood tested to make sure that your kidneys are working sufficiently well. When we went in, they drew blood once, ran the tests, and then returned saying that they needed to draw blood again because they used the wrong viles. Needless to say that they billed the insurance once for each draw and the amount that was not covered by insurance was billed to us twice. Furthermore, the online system they use for payment would not accept my credit card, which is a standard visa. Overall, the experience with this clinic has been terrible. After having blood drawn (twice!) my vein on my arm was bruised for days afterwards.Update: one week later, I try to pay the bills online again, and now the entire web portal is down.

I dont have a Google account so Im leaving this review from a family members account. I was seen this Monday by a Nurse practitioner called Kim. This place has the same issues of most urgent care locations in that they have become useless and a scam by sending patients to the ER or telling them to follow up with the family practice doctor. Urgent care was originally created and sold to patients as a cheaper alternative to the emergency room but literally the majority of patients are sent from urgent care to ER or they just go there to be told there is nothing they can do.Anyways, my experience at this site was a mixture of incompetence and prejudice. From the start it was strange that the front desk viewed my license only to later be told I had to self check in. When checking in patients use an iPad to take a picture of license and insurance so why did she ask for my license? Thereafter, I go to see the provider for flank pain and she was talking of kidney failure and sending me to the ER. She didnt do any kind of physical examination to rule out other issues. I literally was repeating myself asking her to do a urine test and blood work to check kidney function. She was going in circles making it look like it was something for the ER and she was giving excuses that I would get charged for the blood work without seeing I had insurance..in short, I was left with a feeling that the real reason she didnt want to see me was because she seemed to believe that I had no way to pay for visit as as a Hispanic and logically that the ER cannot turn away people who cant pay.She finally relented to doing the urine test that showed a small amount of blood but she didnt do anything else. She didnt order labs or imaging when this is something that should be done in urgent care precisely so patients avoid large bills from an emergency room visit! Which was the entire purpose of the urgent care!Raul Mendez

I was treated at AFC. I came there in so much pain. I was treated great by all the staff. Lori my provider was smart sweet and my apt felt like a visit with a friend. AFC had me fixed up and on my way within an hour.

Love love AFC! I wasn’t feeling well….thought it was strep throat so I went in to get tested. Their fantastic MA, Morgan, informed me exactly what she was doing and explained all the tests to me. The office staff and the doctor had me in and out in 25 minutes with my test results. Very knowledgeable and helpful!

I was sent over from a other AFC to get a specific shot for kidney stone pain. Shayla and Layla took care if me quickly and with such professionalism and kindness.

Everyone was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend them to all my friends and family.

Based on their reviews I think we can all see they are not a good medical practitioner that should be sought out but here’s my experience. Was seen for an ankle injury that happened on a wildfire, was recommended for imaging a few weeks ago. A referall was never sent. Contacted their office manager yesterday morning and they said they would take care of it. Just got a call from imaging saying they cannot schedule me for next week, the last days I have under my workers comp claim, if I do not have a referall in. I expressed this to the office manager I had already spoken to multiple times, over multiple days and she lectured me that the providers are very busy and will get to it when they get the chance. I am a veteran with only VA insurance and if I do not get this mri under the workers comp claim, then I’m waiting 6-8 months for the VA to see me for this injury. Which was also expressed to the office manager. Seek care elsewhere!

Mattie was the most incredible nurse today. Hands down the best care Ive experienced at a doctors office! I will keep going to this urgent care clinic just because of the service she provided. I felt awful and she was so genuine, kind and efficient that it made my day so much better. Thank you Mattie!!

I wish I could give 0 stars. They should not be considered an Urgent Care, they should just advertised themselves as covid, strep, and flu testing facility. My 75 year old father went in on Monday, Aug. 1 because he was unable to get an appointment with his primary care provider. He was having trouble breathing and body aches to the point of not being able to sleep. My dad suspected a sinus or respiratory infection as he has had both numerous times and he knew exactly what was previously prescribed to him that helped. The doctor that saw him told him to take Tylenol and drink liquids. I understand that antibiotics do not treat viral infections but a patient history should be taken into consideration. This doctor acted as if he was following steps 1-3 in his doctor manual and tried to move on to the next patient as quickly as he could. He did not take the time to listen to my dad and his history and to consider the snowball effect this was having on a man of his age. How do you send a 75 year old man that is having such trouble breathing that he cannot sleep out the door with NOTHING? Thankfully the next day my dad got into his pcp and he immediately put him on a strong antibiotic. One day later he started feeling much better and was able to sleep again.Dont waste your time or money going to this place.

Walked in at 930 am and was told they were at “full capacity” for urgent care for the day and there was one person sitting in the waiting room. I especially enjoyed the rude receptionist. Just an extra bonus to the experience of a brand new clinic I’ll never attempt to be seen at again.

Seriously, the best care. Starts in the front. The admin is quick and offers a beverage (which has NEVER happened before), the doctors are on time and keep us updated with delays.

Worked us in at the end of day. Staff and providers were willing to accommodate to us last minute. This shows they put the patients above their personal preferences. MA Lauren was upbeat and had a great personality. NP Megan was friendly and happy to help us out at the end of her shift.

I can’t thank the staff enough. All of them were wonderful. After being told by another urgent care down the road the day before that I just had the flu and there was nothing they could do, that I should be feeling better soon, I found AFC Urgent Care. They took me seriously and actually did a flu test and Covid test which were all negative. They checked me out and advised me to go to the ER because something was wrong in my lungs. They were even willing to call me an ambulance. I spent all day in the ER at St. Luke’s having many tests. I have pneumonia and septicemia. Both life-threatening. Thank you again to the whole staff at AFC urgent care.

I travel to Boise often for work and have had the best customer service at AFC Urgent Cares here. I’ve been to the other locations in Garden City and Nampa, each time the facility is bright and sanitary, they have tvs on with Disney for the children to ease distraction of time passing, their commitment to service is literally written on the wall, the staff is knowledgeable and they treat patients with respect and kindness. The registration process was a breeze, I completed it on my phone prior to arriving. When I came in, I waited a few moments and in the meantime they offered me a bottled water. It’s a very considerate thing to do. I have my own and they have a fountain for filling them in the lobby! Kim, the Nurse Practitioner explained my options for treatment. She gave me alternatives and allowed me to be a part of deciding the route we took. It is refreshing to have an urgent care listen to their patients and take their opinions into account. Like a lot of people I know, I don’t have a primary physician. The NP said they can help with limited primary practices. I know where I’ll be going from now on to treat my arthritis when it flares up or get relief from the Flu. We came in for a middle school sports physical for my son. They are running a special right now where the physical is only $25. There was no line when we arrived. The check in process is fast and easy - it texts a link to your phone and you fill out all your data there. The doctor was knowledgeable and thorough and filled out all the forms we need for school. Highly recommend for a sports physical!

I came in for a COVID test yesterday. The care was quick and the staff were very kind. The results came quickly, though I had issues with their online portal. I dont blame the practice for that; theyre not the IT team.

Went in with a broken hand they took xrays and got it casted nicely. Offered water and some gummies and with Season 1 spongebob on the tv cant get any better than thatFriendly staff.Cast is comfy.

The experience there was such a pleasure urgent care isnt always the best time with littles but the staff was amazing very professional and accommodating great to my kids and the place was super clean! Thank you AFC staff!

We waited over 1 hour and 40 minutes to be seen and we were the first patient here (not busy). The MA had long greasy hair and appeared as if he had partied all night and came straight to work after a bender without showering or attempting to look presentable. He proceeded to ask multiple questions about the pain levels of a 4yo - is it sharp, dull, or throbbing pain? On a scale of 1-10 what is her pain level? Idk, she’s four and says her ear hurts. I suspected an infection and took her here for eval. He spent over 15 minutes asking specific questions about the symptoms of a toddler without even looking in ears, nose, or throat (no wonder they’re so slow) and then performed useless labs (again, before actually looking at her). It took nearly 2hrs and 45 mins before they finally looked in her actual ear! A legit awful experience. I highly recommend going to the ER for quicker, more effective service (sarcasm to demonstrate just how SLOW this place is).

Avoid this place unless you want to get sick. Went for a COVID test and was not tested until 1.25 hours after my scheduled time. Fortunately, you can wait outside, as the waiting room was full of coughing and sniffling patients waiting for COVID tests. While everyone waiting was masked, the seats are not cleaned/sanitized or marked for distance. The staff administering tests were wearing simple face masks (not N95s) with no eye protection. The individual testing me decided it would be a good idea to leave their mask down, exposing their nose, while they put information into the computer next to me. They also attempted to test me strep throat and flu before a provider even saw me or asked about my symptoms. Everyone was very nice, but an overall sketchy operation.*Edit after AFC response*The single PA (only provider on site) may have been tied up with an emergency. That is completely reasonable and I hope everything turned out ok. If this practice did not insist that every patient coming in for a COVID test was seen by a provider in order to bill for a full urgent care visit, that type of delay could been avoided. Also, checking sore throat on a piece of paper is not an indication for a strep test in any age group let alone an adult. Centor score: 0

This urgent care has an Amazing staff from the front desk to Haylee that is so caring and has the best personality for this job it’s a great place to get seen everyone is so knowledgeable and there’s never a wait.

I was a walk in to get tested for strep throat. The lady at the counter proceeds to tell me she will text me a link that will allow me to check in ( isnt that her job?) Then she hands me a paper to fill out. I get the text and begin filling out my paperwork, it makes you take a picture of the front of your drivers license and Insurance card both front and back. Not to mention you have no where to set them down to take a picture, I ask her why, shes says to verify who you are why cant i just show her them? Im standing in front of her ?? Isnt that her job??? Your system makes absolutely zero sense, whether laziness on her part of bad planning its stupid and I wont be returning

Would give zero stars if possible!!!! This place only cares about getting as much money as possible for running as many tests as possible. They definitely don’t care about actually treating patients at all!! As of that wasn’t bad enough they told my husband to take medicine that could have actually killed him, but they never cared enough to take a history and make sure they were prescribing accurately. All I can say is STAY FAR FAR away!!It won’t let me respond to your response so I have to post again. Stating that you have staff that takes a full medical history is 100% false!!! You shuffle people in and perform more tests than needed to maximize profits, and then you send people on their way with no care provided and wrong medication recommendation after ZERO discussion of pre-existing conditions. You also created a policy that a parent accompanying a minor must also be retested if they haven’t been tested within 24 hrs. I had a negative test at your facility 36 hrs prior and you tried to make me get restarted just because my asymptomatic daughter needed a test. Meanwhile, you have unvaccinated staff that were allowed to be in contact with her. It makes absolutely no sense other than you are out for the almighty $$$.

Loved the fact that, unless you were symptomatic for flu symptoms, you could go in without a mask. Staff was very friendly and provider seemed very knowledgeable. I am already starting to recover from what I came in for. Thank you all so much!

Highly recommended. We used it for Covid testing for travel. In and out with our results in less than an hour. Highly professional and very friendly staff. Very low exposure to other clients. You wait in your car and are called in when it’s your turn. Test accepted by airline and Canada customs. Bravo.

Took my son there for infection. The staff was very friendly and polite. The facility was also nice and clean. Only reason not giving 5 stars is it did take a while to be seen.

This is the worst clinic I have ever been to and their billing department is an absolute nightmare. Do NOT go to AFC. My insurance needs a claim resubmitted from AFC- shouldnt be an issue, right? WRONG. They wont resubmit claims on behalf of the member, nor will they send me a copy of the claim form so I can submit it myself. The only reason I went to this god awful clinic was because they performed rapid tests during the peak of Covid and I needed a same-day result. Its been almost a year since that visit and Im still battling with AFC over this stupid Covid claim. Save yourself the headache and go to Primary Health.Also, another note, dont expect to get ahold of the billing department if you need to reach them. The number will ring for a while and then go to voicemail, and you MIGHT hear back from them in a week if youre lucky. Just go somewhere else.

Apparently the managers at AFC have a God complex and can randomly decide who they will, and will not, give medical treatment to on any particular day. I arrived at the Meridian location at 8:30 a.m. to be told by the front desk that the manager had sent a text that morning advising that NO travel COVID tests would be given that day. I was told to go to the Garden City location. While in the Gardens Citys location, I watched 8 people get turned away because they were sick and/or they did NOT need a test for traveling. They literally were telling people to go to Primary Health urgent care facilities. Completely the opposite of the Meridian location! AFC has changed their appointment structure for testing 4 times in the last 10 months and now the randomness of who will be seen in any particular day is thrown in the mix? Ridiculous! Go to any other urgent care instead of an AFC location. This chain is the worst in the Treasure Valley.

Traveling overseas tomorrow and just today I realized Uruguay requires the PCR test for COVID. Panic mode. Thank goodness I found out about AFC !!! I came to the Meridian office, the provider is Kelly and the MA is Morgan. The whole process couldn’t have gone smoother!! Superb staff, fast, professional and knowledgeable. I was in and out in a bit over an hour with my test results in hand!!!! Highly recommend this clinic.

Rosealee was great and got me all squared away! Even helped when my pharmacy closed unexpectedly with getting it filled at another one.

I waivered about going in but having read on the website that this facility is open until 8 pm, I went over a little after 6pm. As I entered, I was politely informed that they had seen their allotment (paraphrasing) of patients for the day and they would reopen at 8am. I think they need to correct their website about the hours that they are available to serve patients.

One of the top urgent cares in Idaho. Went in today and saw Jen she was OUTSTANDING. Answered all my questions as well as explained them to where I understood and made me just feel comfortable with the whole process. I was seen exactly when she said I would be. Walk into an empty waiting room at 6:34 to get rapid Covid test, and was told theyre not doing them after 6:30 even though theyre open until 8:00. Maybe they should tell you that on the phone when you call and save you a trip across town ... when youre sick. Crummy.Edit: No one mentioned anything about waiting outside in queues, but after reading other reviews, Im actually grateful I was turned away.

By far the worst place you can possibly go, would give a 0 if I could. I arrived at 1010 to be seen for a simple ear infection, with only 3 people sitting in the lobby I figured it wouldnt be a long wait and how I was wrong. After sitting there until 12 and all 3 people before me had been seen and the 5 that came in after me had been seen I asked if there was a problem with my paperwork or something for I had been sitting there for almost 2 hours at this point the 2 desk staff were very rude and unprofessional telling me obviously Id be next as I was the last patient waiting, and to just sit down and wait another 30 min or so, the manager on duty seemed to have no concern of this as she just shut her door instead of stepping out of her office to see what was going on. So I just walked out of that office and will not be returning, and advise that if you have an actual medical needs I would go about anywhere else, Im sure a mcdonalds would provide better medical care and help, will be seeking help from someone higher up than who was in that office, I had never been treated so poorly anywhere, not just a medical establishment.

This place is a joke. All they are good for is testing for COVID and that’s all they care about. I went in there for a completely unrelated issue and they made me do 3 different COVID tests. Obviously all negative after waiting for 30 minutes for the results. I would go somewhere that they actually care about helping you and not about testing you for COVID when it has nothing to do with why you are there. Can’t believe this is a medical care facility in America. We are doomed.

Came to get rapid tested and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The M.A. Ana was super nice and even brought me a popsicle because Im pregnant while I was waiting for the doctor.

Very disappointed in this place. I had gone here for a TB test, and I was supposed to return for the result to be read. I asked the lady working the front desk if they are going to be open on Saturday and I was told that they would be open, however Im at the clinic now and they are closed.

And Angel was halirious and fun while he swabbed my nose for the covid test. I would definitely, though I hope I dont have to, go back again. They helped to make a stressful night less difficult.

Claimed they couldn’t verify my insurance and I would have to pay $300 for my son to be seen. I went home and verified it the same way and had no problem finding it. Went to Primary Health and was seen there instead.

The worker was rude and argumentative and the manager was less than understanding about her behavior. It had nothing to do with your procedures but the lack of patience and kindness of your staff member.

Appointment scheduled at 6:20. Didn’t see me until 8:35. So frustrating!! I’ve never had to wait for 2 plus hours to get into a scheduled appointment. Took 3 plus hours for a scheduled non-symptom covid test!

1-star for AFCs leadership team.In order to receive any form of medical treatment within this AFC facility, you must either present proof of COVID vaccination or be willing to take a COVID test to prove you dont have COVID.Dissuading customers from receiving medical care is short-sighted at best.Shame on you, AFC.Family Health down the street does not play these games, I recommend people visit them instead. They are willing to treat patients regardless of COVID status.

Had such a great experience for my covid testing to travel to Hawaii! Mattie was amazing she made me feel so at ease and it was quick and easy!

Had many heavy and large packages to deliver, upon delivery instead of a thank you, I was met by rudeness and disrespect by the front desk associates. Claiming that I had delivered to the wrong spot and to check my notes next time. I informed them and showed them that no such notes were given.

Scheduling was easy. Kim took amazing care of my daughter. She is now on the mend. Thank you AFC

Got there at 1030, was made to stand in line outside for 2 hours with other patients. Was told they would hand out paperwork and send us home and call us. After two hours they finally began handing out paperwork. At this rate I could have come to the emergency room. Upon entering there was no other patients being seen, literally empty. Maybe they are short staffed but that isnt the patients problem.Anyone with urgent need of medical care should not come here.
