The staff all the way from the front desk to urgent care was so accommodating and quick to think of solutions. They were able to get me to a doctor immediately despite me not having health insurance. They filed me a temporary health insurance and proceeded with my labs.

The staff were very nice, the doctor listened, was interested in what I had to say, and was very caring. He took the time to address all of my questions and concerns. I was also seen in a timely manner so I could get back to my day.

So easy to make an appointment, quick check-in, and fantastic staff. The doctor was compassionate and helped my son with his strep throat. She even called me half an hour later to say that the system was down, and she would call personally to get his prescription in before the drugstore closed. Wowo. Far and beyond other urgent care facilities I’ve gone to.

Appointment was super easy to make. They saw me within the hour of booking same day appointment. Friendly professional staff who were very thorough and helpful. Easier than going to my doctor.

I received caring, professional care. The doctor was really astute, just by looking at my hand she knew it was broken or cracked. I was very surprised, then she had the tech take x-rays and sure enough, she was right. She pointed out the issue on the x-ray! I felt grateful 🙏 these two medical staff were so good at what they do. I would recommend going there for urgent care, especially if you need an x-ray, not all urgent care facilities have that capacity.

Dignity Urgent Care has been great with me. They are personable, professional and have provided all of the would care I have needed for my elbow. I would recommend them to anyone.

The staff at Dignity Health West Portal are very competent, caring, highly professional. I arrived with what proved to be 2 fracture sights. Staff took x-rays & sent me home me with equipment to keep the injury sites stabilized & protected until I could be seen by orthopedic specialists. They assisted me above & beyond the call of duty in transmitting my x-ray imaging to my doctors. Giant thanks to Christina, Jin, Jennifer & Mike!!

They have a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Sahara, Laura and the person at the front desk were all very empathetic and helpful. It was a very busy day and they were still able to squeeze me in at the end of the day. Thank you!

This was our first ever urgent care experience. We were seen by Jordan Barton, and her kindness, efficiency and thoroughness made my six-year-old daughter feel safe and unafraid. All of our follow-up appointments with specialists confirmed that her decisions and advice were spot on. The entire staff was patient and attentive, and we are so grateful for the wonderful care we received.

I have an ongoing, seemingly sinus related pain issue that became acute the last few days, hence going to urgent care. Dr Martin took the time to listen, ask questions and really try to troubleshoot. I felt really heard and reassured that I was getting the best suggestions available. As we know not all docs are like this, and it’s very much appreciated. Friendly professional staff and nice office environment too.

I wish I could give them 0: unprofessional doctors and scam billing. Me and my husband were both sick. We had similar symptoms, but I was more stuffed. We were examined together in the same room, and it took us ~30 minutes in total. We received similar services, but I was billed ~$150 more because I had a sinus. And again, I did not receive any additional tests. The doctor just told me I ” sounded” worse.Also, she prescribed me the wrong treatment scheme, and my condition only worsened. In a couple of days, I had to see another doctor and take 3 weeks of antibiotics instead of 2, in case the initial treatment scheme was correct.Avoid at all costs!

Daniel Vargus helped us and provided really great service when my daughter had an allergic reaction to peanuts. It was my first time at the office and the front desk managed the intake process with ease.

I was able to get interviewed, tested and diagnosed very quickly by knowledgeable and personable medical staff. I was prescribed medication, which, of this moment less than 2 days later, seems to be helping my condition. I am grateful for this and also cognizant that access to this kind of medical service is still limited to a more privileged population in this grossly unequal world.

The service that we received at GoHealth Urgent Care on West Portal was a great, speedy, and professional from beginning to end. We received a speedy registration and in take process from MA Anabrenda and Cristina. The provider Kathleen Lew was excellent. She provided us with a great pt care through the whole process from the work up at the beginning to getting us a diagnosis, to mending the issue and explaining to us what to do for after care. I would bring all my family members and friends to this extraordinarily great urgent care.

I had severe back pain from a herniated disc. Dr Jeniffer has excellent and professional manners and is great at her diagnosis. The staff are amazing with giving injection and treating the patient. This is my 5-6 th visit to West Portal Dignity Health Urgent clinic over the years. Thank you so much!

Everything was fantastic from the lady in the front who answered the phone and directed us to the urgent care and then took care of all the paperwork and all that . She was very kind and courteous and knowledgeable. Then the lady who took our vital signs and entered some information into the system for the doctor. My wife and I when there together so the lady doctor I forgot her name, she visited my wife first and then she came to see me. Let me tell you SHE WAS THE BEST DOCTOR / BEST PERSON I HAVE EVER MET IN MY LIFE. First she explained my wifes situation so she put me at ease and the took care of my situation.the way she was doing things and speaking was like she is one of our family members. I have seen lots of doctors in my life but no one as good as her. I thank her from the bottom of my heart and if it is possible please let her know that we appreciate what she did for us. 6 years ago it was a nice place to visit, but not now. I called them that have 4 days long headache and was invited to urgent care. When arrive show my stroke paper with MRN , and explained I have ADHD, always losing cards. Receptionist said MRN is nothing for her. I ask if I can talk with supervisor, she answered that will immediately calling police and start calling. I keep waiting supervisor half an hour and nobody came to reception. Police also not came in spite receptionist called 3 times there, when I waiting, maybe because she called the police on daily basis. Seems pretty insane place overall. Next two nurses came and said they have no supervisor and I am free to complaint to the health department or elsewhere. Real freaks.

Not a great experience at the West Portal urgent care location. Stubbed my toe and it turned out to be broken. Young female receptionist was extremely curt and borderline rude to me. I had x-rays done and never heard anything back about them, despite the fact I had a fracture. I tried to sign up for their online app to retrieve my own medical records but the app would not work. After trying for 2 days to get through to the Dignity Health tech support line, I finally bit the bullet and waited for over 30 min on hold to get a person who told me to delete and re-install the app and said she could not find my name anywhere in the Dignity Health computer system, so she referred me back to the West Portal location. At my urgent care appt I was told I would get a call from the Radiologist within 48 hrs - that never happened. The West Portal location now tells me I will never see the results of my x-ray in my patient portal and I should stop by to pick up a printed copy of the report. Huh? I have a broken foot people. What kind of customer service is this? Cant wait to see the bill...Would not recommend.Im a nurse and I expected more. Communication is everything in healthcare and the responsibility to coordinate WITHIN a healthcare system should not fall upon the patient. Its one thing if you are seeing providers at different facilities or at within different health systems.I should close by mentioning that at the West Portal location I saw an absolutely delightful Nurse Practitioner who handled herself with poise and professionalism. She was competent, compassionate, and I felt confident I was in good hands.

I found myself waiting an hour and a half after my appointment to actually be seen, but that is just the tip of the iceberg for this clinic.6 months ago, I went in with extreme stomach pain and was diagnosed with an upset stomach, and one week later I was rushed to an ER for a burst appendix. I wasnt tested for appendicitis at all and my symptoms were not taken seriously.Clearly there is a lack of medical acumen at this specific clinic. From my experience, Id highly recommend any other center for urgent care.

Got in right before a wave of other people booked their appointment online, which was great (just before noon on a Thursday). Didnt wait long to be seen (~20 min), filled out a new patient registration meanwhile. Then saw 2 different doctors, who were very helpful, cheerful, and nice. Made the experience a lot nicer with them around. Was out in a couple of hours with a list of next steps and recommended doctors to see. I felt much better after seeing them, and was satisfied in my decision to come here rather than the ER. Would definitely come here again, and would recommend to everyone. Especially that you can apparently schedule appointments online, see wait-times, and get all records online as well + emailed to you.

Called for an appointment and seen that very day. My entire experience was simply awesome! Every single team member was extra professional, helpful, and friendly - both Mike and Jennifer were terrific stand outs.. 👏🏼Highly recommended and super easy.

Doctor was fabulous! Great bedside manner, listened very well, great diagnosis, came up with an action plan and a strategy if I still need help. was in and out in 15 min!!! Amazing !!

We have had to go here a few times the last couple of months for issues with our little one. They are very professional and courteous here. The wait time is average, not super fast but the care is solid once youre seen. Its huge for us that its just 6-7 mins away, and you can make an appointment online to cut out a chunk of the wait time. You can also call them if the online slots are taken to see how busy they are.

For a $25 copay, got a fatty cyst removed and a referral to dermatologist. Other alternative was waiting 35 days for appt with Gen Practitioner to get a referral to a dermatologist and then get the cyst removed. So efficient and cost effective. Pue family loves West Portal Urgent Care!

Everyone was kind, compassionate and professional and went beyond my expectations to provide me with all the support and service I needed. Thank you all for taking such great care of me. Eternally grateful and I’m already feeling better since my visit.

On Jan 21st at 12:45. I was bit by a dog on the top of my right hand. My husband and I went to the urgent care clinic on West Portal. We opened the front door and didn’t see anyone at the desk. I called out several times but there was no one in the office. About 5 min later a young woman I assumed was the front desk person youngish man who was I guess the Dr or PA. The women told us they had just come back from lunch but they still had 10 min on the clock. The fellow asked me what the problem was and I told him. A dog bite.(it was a nasty one) He very flippantly asked me if the bleeding was under control. I said yes.Then he simply walked away. We sat there for another few min without so much as eye contact from the desk lady. She then informs me that I will be getting a text on my phone to a link to fill out a registration form. My right hand is wrapped up in a towel so I thought she would help me out. No such luck. As we sat there another man walked in and said he had an appointment. Shortly after he came in, a couple came in the door. The receptionist quickly told them they had to wait outside, as only 4 people were allowed in the lobbby,despite the marked chairs for distancing. It is now 1:30. This all occurred as I was trying to fill out the registration form. I was then told I would not be seen until 3:00. Well that did it for us. We told her we were going to the emergency. She chimed in oh that’s perfectly fine.I was appalled at the lack of care and compassion. These so called medical people should be fired for leaving the, building open with no one there. I will be writing a letter to Dignity Health about the careless actions of the staff. Will never go there again and I will be telling everyone I know in the neighborhood not to as well,if they value their well being and health.Sincerely,Michelle Maxwell

Seen quickly. Staff was very kind and helpful. Every person from the front desk, the nurse & the practitioner were all top notch.

I don’t think this is going to change things but it needs to be said. This place is a disaster. I went there yesterday 4 different times trying to get medicine for the flu. I first got there around 9:00am on Saturday seeking a doctors appointment. There were only 2 other people in the waiting area, but I was told the wait will be 3 1/2 hours. I registered and came back a few hours later. The nurse was very nice and professional. The doctor also seemed nice, but not very professional. I was very clear about what pharmacy I wanted the prescriptions sent. He told me he will send it in now and it will be ready to pick up at the pharmacy in 30 min. I went to the pharmacy I asked the doctor to send the prescription to 2 hours later thinking that would be enough time. Waited on line for 25mins, Only to find out that the doctor never sent them. I attempted to call the clinic 4 times, nobody answered on any call. My only option was to go back to the clinic for a 3rd time to try and find out what happened. When I arrived, the gentleman sitting at the front desk acted like I was bothering him with my problems. I finally found out that the doctor sent the prescription to the wrong pharmacy. So I decided to just go to the other pharmacy and pick it up there. Of course it was late by now and the pharmacy was closed when I got there. Back to the clinic for a 4th time. The unprofessional gentleman at the front desk said that he will ask the doctor to resend it to my 24 hour pharmacy so I can get my prescription within the hour, that was 6:00 pm. I went back to my original pharmacy an hour later and still no prescription has been sent. It’s now 10:00am the next morning and I just called the pharmacy again and nothing. Unbelievable! I’m sick with the flu this entire time hoping to get better soon so I don’t miss another day of work. It’s going to be 26 hours before I get my prescriptions, totally ridiculous and unacceptable. They don’t listen, answer the phone, or act like they are truly interested in helping in any way. Do yourself a favor and fine another place to go to the next time you truly need help.

Brought my 5 yrs old in today for a dislocated elbow. Front desk quoted a fee of $253 plus any medication needed. Told the front desk we need my son elbow to be pop back into place. Happened to my son twice in 2 years before. Waited for about 50 minutes. An assistant came into room, took my son blood pressure and temperature, (dont know why!! May be to justify their fees)Waited another 15 minutes and here come another female assistant. - did not introduce herself as a doctor. Only took her seconds to pop my son elbow back in place. Everything was easy until I pay the bill. Total bill was $636!!!!!!. The receptionist told me $495 to pop the elbow and $141 for a clinic visit. If this is a not ripped off, I dont know what it is. If you visit this clinic, you better get an estimates before you go in. Dont let me experience happens to you. I will never recommend anyone to this clinic ever again. I live in this neighbourhood for 30 years and what happens to me in this clinic today will not go away. Guess this business does not believe in referrals.

I was given the most gentle, professional, compassionate care. I had a painful infected nose piercing, they labored over removing the piercing for nearly 2 hours. They successfully removed the piercing, cleaned the infection and warmly sent me on my way with the proper medication. I am so grateful for the care I received!

Received untimely care after bugging staff and waiting for over an hour, after waiting another hour to be seen, it had appeared they had forgotten me! I should have left right away however since the paperwork refused to provide any incantation of how much I would be charged. Not knowing this Im now facing a $250+ bill for a simple ear infection! Less than $50 in medication! And this is after insurance with over $400 charge. I do not have poor insurance and have never received a bill this high from any other provider.This is absurd, and the bill arrived several months later and demanded to be paid in less than a weeks time frame with credit only!A sham I think this is. I highly do not recommend. The facility does not seem to be able to handle any resemblance of load and it appeared many people simply left while waiting. Now after being billed I wish I was one of those people.

My husband came in with a finger infection due to the fact his PCP was out of town. We requested our appointment online which was super easy. Although we came in slightly early, Monica the receptionist, made us feel like at home. Dr. Wu was awesome -- he and his staff took the time to make sure nothing serious came out of his injury; they actually took x-rays and after cutting his figure out, they took samples from the infection for the lab. My husband came out of it with flying colors. We most definitely will be back if either one of us run into any minor emergencies such as this.

I am 22 weeks pregnant and fell in my driveway, this happened on a Sunday; the on call nurse at my doctors office suggested going to an Urgent care to get checked out. I came here. The guy at the front desk was completely useless. My husband and I told him what happened, and he stared at us like ok, so what do you want me to do?. He said they dont have an ultrasound machine. That was his only response. Wrong way to respond to a frantic pregnant women. We ended up going to Sutter, where they actually didnt even need to do an ultrasound after having done other tests.

Visiting from out of town for a Thanksgiving and my youngest got food poisoning. We got a walk in appt within the hour and they took great care of my daughter. Impressed by how thorough and patient the DR was. So thankful to have found the clinic. Will def use again on our next visit to the city.

They run it like a scam.Front desk person was rude and apparently hated her job. They told me over the phone it was $130 for a vaccine. I came told them I was paying out of pocket and paid in full $130 before the service. Then a week later I got notified they charged my credit card for another $ 231. I already paid in full and they kept charging me! It was literally a five minute in and out visit they told me its exactly 60$ for the administration of the vaccine and $70 for the shot. Thats it. Total $130. And they certainly didnt do anything else in the 5 minutes I spent there. Whats worse is that the exact same thing happened to me last year at the branch in the castro. I paid in full and they started charging me a week or so later according to a payment plan. I never made any payment plan, I paid in full!!! Do not go here unless you find it acceptable to pay hundreds of dollars extra for services you already paid for. Its happened to me 2/2 times so I believe its just how they do business. Disgraceful.

The PA, Elizabeth, was EXCELLENT! I was pretty scared and upset when I arrived with a badly infected cut on my thumb but she calmed me down, fixed me up, and sent me on my merry way. Thumb is MUCH better today 😉

My primary doctor wasnt available so I decided to go here. Super easy to make an appointment through their website. They were on time and quick to see me. Everyone I interacted with was patient and took their time to listen and get me checked out. Crossing fingers I wont need to come again but I definitely would go here again if I needed it.

I couldnt get to my Primary doctors during office hours. I knew it was shingles. Painful and itchy but it would be 5 days before I could see my Primary Care physician. It wasnt an emergency but I needed help. I was in an out within 30 minutes. Friendly and attentive staff. And not far from home. Thankful for them.

While I can say that the desk staff and medical assistants are very kind and attentive, I unfortunately have been disappointed with the doctors on staff.Writing because this has been my second misdiagnosis here. This time I went in because of a prolonged fever and lung/coughing issues, only to be sent home with the recommendation of Sudafed.The next day I went to a different medical facility to which I was diagnosed with pneumonia and told I was teetering on whether I needed hospitalization or not.Needless to say, Im glad I decided to get myself checked in somewhere else for more attentive care. Wouldnt recommend going to this Urgent Care unless you already have a diagnosis and simply need to acquire a prescription.In my experience, they always seem rushed and lack the attentiveness to treat their patients properly.

Front desk staff answered the phone when I called. A REAL person answered the phone. She explained what the wait time would be and explained my options. When I arrived with my sick son she explained that the wait could be long because there were several patients ahead of us. She was very pleasant and understanding of my situation. My wait turned out to be shorter than expected.Everything at the office is digitalized and I had my records of my visit sent to my sons pediatrican.The Physician Assistant Jozelle was very sweet, kind and understanding of my sons situation. She took great care of him. She called me the next day to check on my son.The office is warm and has pleasant music playing. They are open until 10:00pm which is really helpful. The office staff met all of my expectations and made my stressful situation as pleasant as possible.I would highly recommend GG Urgent Care.

Went here for a foot x-ray. I was treated, x-rayed and fit for a boot, all shortly after I got there (I walked in). The staff was kind and answered all my questions. The facility itself is clean and newly renovated. I hope you don’t need them, but if you do, at least the experience won’t be painful!

As I entered, they welcomed me and told me what appointments were available on the same day. When I had a little trouble with the registration, they waited for me to fix it. During the visit they were very informative.

Incredibly helpful and friendly all the way through. Dr Connell was wonderful, warm and personable. The x-ray tech was so nice as well as everyone else. I checked in with a busted foot as a walk in. I was starving and the receptionist offered to wheel me across the street to get food. What?!?!? Amazing?!?! Its also clean and bright so you didnt get that depressed feel that you find in most Drs offices.

Horrible experience. Don’t ever go there, even if you made an appt online. The staff there are slow, and you still have to wait about 30mins before hey get you inside an exam room, once inside, wait another 30 mins to see a doc. You can hear them mingling outside the rooms, instead of attending to the patients. They also failed to call in the pharmacy for my prescriptions and when I called them back about it, they just said they are busy...plain and simple. One of the staff actually hung up on me. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. Never again, I would allow my family or friends go to that facility.

Went in for a toothache in bad pain and they were able to see me quickly

Had a curious finger infection and was heading out of town early. Walked in before 8:00am and was out in just under an hour. All the staff were helpful. The physicians tack with the problem was in the direction I was thinking. A great experience all around!

Called to get same day appointment which was very quick and easy. My visit did not take long. Thanks for taking me in on short notice.

I came here after immediately after getting a 2nd degree burn on half my forearm because it was the closest location. No one was at the desk and I waited in the lobby for ten minutes in tears, only to be turned away and told to go to Daly City instead. I stood outside sobbing in pain while I looked for anywhere else I could go. Don’t come here if you’re looking to actually get taken care of. The other location I went to took care of me immediately even when they were busy, and called the burn center for me.

Excellent service. Friendly staffs. It is so nice to be able to see a doctor on the weekend without having to go to wait at the emergency room. This clinic is equip to handle most of the procedures needed for urgent care.

Registration was quick and Dr. McIntyre along with staff who took my vitals, withdrew blood were quick, thorough and efficient. They addressed all of my concerns. Glad to have this Urgent Care Clinic in the neighborhood!

I had the chance to visit many UC locations over the years but this one is specially slow and it looks like they dont know what they are doing.Prescription sent to the wrong location, which ripple down into having to chase down the provider. Endless calls and lots of complications...Try to avoid this place.

I made an appointment and took off work, planned my day around my visit. When I arrived and spoke with the desk they informed me that I could not receive a bill for the visit I had to pay it all that day before I left. I wasted my time and my money because of a policy that should be illegal. I was turned away from medical attention.I will never go back to Golden Gate Urgent Care.

People working there were amazing.They were caring, knowledgeable, fun and funny. Just what I needed after an injury.

Went with girlfriend who needed to get tb test. Medical assistant injected way to deep and caused her arm to bleed with no wheel present. We also had to wait 40 minutes after her appointment. If you can Id go elsewhere.

This location seems to be better than the one on Market. Shorter wait times, easier scheduling, and more competent PAs and nurses. I received good care and was seen at my actual appointment time.

Kid injured? Skip this place and go to UCSF Children’s in Mission Bay. No patience or bedside manner with distressed kids. They’ll just make you wait an hour and tell you to go to the ER anyway if your kid is crying.

It was easy to make an appointment, every was nice, the advice was good and the treatment worked amazingly.

I went here from referral from my doctor who said to get test results ASAP regarding a host of symptoms that seemed unrelated. When I got there the doctor looked at the symptoms and said “no urgent care in America is going to start doing this stuff.” I just came here for tests… per doctor instructions. Go to a different urgent care.

While the service is good and staff is friendly, they have been unable to bill my insurance after giving the information four times, both in person and over the phone. It has been two months. Their billing department has an automated call-back system which does not work.

Fast service, friendly and efficient staff; Walgreens is across the street so easy to fill prescription. (Very clean inside too!)

Beware - went in for a Strep and Flu test and came out with a $500 bill after my PPO paid %80 of the bill. Not cool. Sorry if I had known that at the front door I would have driven a little farther to UCSF urgent care.

My husband Richard whos been experiencing pain in his left side for a week went to Golden Gate Urgent Care at West Portal today and was seen by a gentle and friendly Dr. Kurt Kunzel.. After examining him and doing urine test and found no problem with his kidneys, Dr. Kunzel suggested a more thorough exam (ie ct-scan) if the pain wont go away during the weekend. When he suggested anti-biotics and we told him we try to avoid taking it, he understood and didnt scare my husband into taking them. We believe in homeopathic remedies and are into natural healing and this gentle doctor seems to understand us. We will definitely tell our family and friends about GG Urgent Care, about Dr. Kunzel as well as their very friendly staff!

Front desk person had a great attitude for customer service. Very welcoming. Registering was easy and they confirmed my insurance fast. The first person to see me was wonderful. Very funny and sweet. I came in with clogged ears and they unclogged both. Fast and easy. The person even made a joke that I had an ear baby the wax was so big. Who ever you were you made my expiernece wonderful and enjoyable. The third person was very to the point and a smile the whole time. Came here with my husband for his sprained ankle. We called to book and got appointment on the same day. Doctor and nurses are professional. The clinic is clear.Thank you for the treatment.

My provider seemed very knowledgeable, caring, empathetic while still being efficient. The only thing to improve would be that the orthopaedic specialist they referred me to was not good.

This place charges you for services that you did not request. I received two different bills after paying my original bill for my visit. They declared I had another bill with something that was not even performed or related.Do not trust them.

After eating food, I could not swallow any liquid and was throwing up. I originally went to an ER in Daly City which misdiagnosed me and sent me home in no better shape. Fortunately, these guys confirmed the poor diagnosis and referred me to UCSF (which resolved my problem) without charging me for the consultation.

Been here over an hour waiting past my apt time, with the wait showing as 15-35 min the whole time. Receptionist just informed me that once its my turn Ill have to continue to wait as they have 5 patients in the back and one provider. West Portal location. Complete joke.

Everyone here is so nice and helpful! If all health centers were like this one, the world would that much more wonderful. This urgent care truly outdid themselves.

Clean clinic, friendly staff, quick service.

Dont bother. Called in and told me the wait time is 20-30 minutes, but when I arrived LITERALLY 5 mins later they told me its gonna be a 3 HOUR wait. Absurd. Stop lying about waiting time to get people there.Also, front desk was extremely rude and dismissive. Horrible experience.

If you use SFHP or any other medical Insurnice dont bother going they wont accept it even though there website will let you put in the info.

If I could give Golden Gate Urgent Care 10 stars, I would. They are professional, compassionate and clearly really care about their patients.

Went on a Friday afternoon and had to wait maybe 5 minutes, the doctor was in to see me immediately and the whole staff was friendly and efficient

Tried to call in to see if location offers ultrasound. The phone recording just looped over and over about covid-19 testing. You should probably just avoid this location for the time being.

The front desk staff all are very rude. Unorganized, not timley (even if you make an appointment online, expcect a wait).

Dismissive and not helpful at all

They didn’t help me at all, they told me to see another doctor because they don’t know anything about my disease. I need to suffered the pain for 4 days.
