Rula Al-Aouar, MD

Today was my second appointment with this doctor. I arrived to my appointment on time and had to wait more than half an hour to be seen. I stayed patient and once I was called in and finally seen by the Dr, she didn’t remember me from our first appointment. I was patient and didn’t take it personal, since she seems very busy. However, things took a turn for the worse when it was time to extract my blood, and the woman assigned to draw my blood had no idea what she was doing. I could tell she was nervous, as her hands were shaking, but again, I stayed patient. She rolled a vein and then she went through a vein, and next thing I know there was blood being squirted out. If it wasn’t for my husband being next to me, I would have fainted. I was told I would have to either come back or go to another clinic to get my blood drawn, since this person was a “temporary.” I left the office livid, and I’m extremely disappointed and will never return again. All trust has been lost and I hope for this office to do better because an office like this is supposed to be pleasant and safe for all pregnant woman- as this is no joke.

Want a Natural Delivery...? FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR!!First of all, C section is unfortunately the priority for 90% of doctors, bc its easier for them, and gives them more profit. Its also easy to find a medical excuse to do this, and the patient will trust the doctor of course. But before making any decisions, EDUCATE yourself before visiting this doctor so you can decide which option is the right one for you, in our situation, we got a wrong decision based on an unprofessional diagnose because of Dr. Rula. She kept insisting to do a c-section for a ridiculous reason, and she knew very well that the patient (my wife) was in a very weak position and couldnt argue with her in a decision like this. From my position as a husband, I was able to see what was going on. I didnt like her service ever since the first time my wife visited her. According to what I was hearing, I built a picture of how the work will go to, and I knew what the doctors decision will be before she even said it. Im not Dr Phil, but I have enough knowledge to study and tell how the person will act. The doctor obviously decide to go to do a c-section for our FOURTH baby after TWO natural deliveries in the past. She made an appointment for c section and we refused. She doesnt have any acceptable reason, the hospital even agreed with our decision. My wife didnt show up on c-section appointment, and the doctor got mad and didnt like that. Up to this point, I had decided to come to the office with my wife and finally meet the doctor herself. She couldnt convince me or my wife to do the c section. Not to mention, when we requested a favor from her based on religion related, she laughed. She doesnt care about what you ask for, even if the request was legal and it is a patients right. After all, our baby was delivered naturally without any issue for both my wife and my baby. Everyone in the hospital was knew about our experience and how things could have been a lot worse if we listened to Dr. Rulas unprofessional opinion. Finally, the doctor couldnt find a reason again to convince us why she was almost going to do the c-section. She forgot the whole issue and acted like nothing happened. My advice is: EDUCATE yourself as much as you can before you go to Doctor Rula. I would give her zero stars, but that doesnt even BEGIN to show how terrible our experience was.

Definitely recommend !I have completed my pregnancy journey with Dr. Rula and her great team. She is one of the best doctor I have come across and she does her job real good. She and her team are so kind and treat patients with respect and make the patients feel comfortable and listens to them if they have any questions or concerns. All thanks to Dr. Rula and her team who have made my pregnancy journey great and at ease and filling all my needs. Most definitely will be with them in my future pregnancy.

I was a patient of Dr. Rula for 9+ years and followed her through 3 different offices because she’s an amazing doctor and delivered both of my babies.With that being said I wish I would have left the office much sooner. Although Dr. Rula herself is amazing her office lacks so much professionalism and organization. Wait time WITH AN appointment was always over an hour!!! Each appointment took about 2 hours. The receptionist was always more concerned with ordering lunch and gossiping than doing any actual work. I watched two employees speak ill about a patient who was frustrated with her appointment. The receptionist would also constantly forget she had someone on hold on the phone. The office messed up two of my appointments. I also showed up to my last appointment only to be told that the dr had stepped out and I did not receive a call or any sort of communication to let me know beforehand. The office needs a lot of cleaning and on two occasions the restroom was out of service! ( In a building with pregnant women???)Each incident seems small on its own but once you dread going into the office and you can’t go one appointment without an inconvenience there’s no longer an excuse.

Dr. Rola is an exceptional gynecologist. What I truly admire about her is how she takes her time during the appointment, listening carefully and offering thoughtful suggestions from the heart. With Dr. Rola, I never feel like just another client. Instead, I feel like a patient who is genuinely cared for and supported. Her compassionate and professional approach creates a level of trust and comfort that is hard to find. Thank you, Dr. Rola, for your dedication and kindness!

Been going to Dr. Rula since I was 16 & now I’m 23. She listens to all my concerns and we discuss all of my concerns, she’s on top of everything! She makes me feel 1000% comfortable, & she’s not just a great Dr she’s also a support system her staff included!! Never see myself changing Drs!!

Ive known Rula Aouar for over 10 years, she delivered my first born, second born and now Im seeing her for my Third child. Shes so sweet, cares for her patients and their babies. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I love her! She cares about her patients she cares about her babies and means business! This is the second child she has delivered successfully for me!! I had 2 c sections back to back and not a scar in sight! She’s a perfectionist! If you want quality care and a ob that actually cares and takes pride in her job she is the one!!!!!!

Dr. Al-Aouar goes above and beyond for her patients health and happiness . I switched from another OBGYN and they accommodated me within the same week ! You won’t ever have to be on guard or worry about expressing your concerns , she will make sure you are heard . I spent one month being monitored in the hospital due to pregnancy complications and she would check on me daily for emotional support and treated me like family . I had a C-section scar and one month post -op and my incision looks phenomenal! Don’t hesitate to choose her your doctor .

Horrible team, horrible process and horrible form of communication at this place. I reached out to ask a few questions and the secretary was really rude and kept on interrupting me. They are very unprofessional, they cant answer a simple question without asking for assistance from a manager but the manager cant seem to get on the line and they told my wife multiple times that our insurance covers everything and nothing was due but then sent us bills in the mail and that is just absolutely unethical and irresponsible. Its also very difficult to get a hold of the doctor to ask questions and if you schedule an appointment with them you have to see someone from the team first that has no idea what they’re doing and they will decide whether or not the patient gets to speak with the doctor. I do not recommend this place to anyone seeking help.

Dc rula is an amazing doctor i ever seen , professional, during my pregnancy she was so helpful , and so kind , she delivered my first baby , my surgery was so good , and she have stunning team, thank you so much for everything i definitely recommend her

New Mothers Beware!Al-Aouar is a blood thirsty Gas Lighter. Any concerns you express, she will assure you there’s nothing to worry about. I was seven weeks pregnant with low iron and she took blood from me anyway which resulted in a miscarriage. She is not attentive to health concerns. But still I trusted her the next time I got pregnancy because she made me feel comfortable.This time, she was a no show at my Labor & Delivery despite me notifying her office my water broke. After eighteen agonizing laboring hours, a random student studying under Al-Aouar delivered my baby; My precious placenta was left out on the table and spoiled. As a woman of color, the hospital mistreated me and I was mishandled during delivery. The experience was horrifyingly traumatic.

Dr Rula is amazing she’s very attentive and takes all the precautions I trusted her with every step throughout my pregnancy and I ended up having a very smooth delivery.

She is amazing to be honest. She is really knows what she is doing and while checking the patient result she start to tell the nurse what’s the patient should need and what’s right and wrong. Her staff is very nice and friendly.Also patient don’t wait long 10 min or less after they arrive they immediately enter and the doctor comes to the room after 5 min. The doctor keep smiling and talk to her patients like her friend. Everything is perfect I wish I can put morthan 5 starts bc she deserves it.

Dr Al-aouar had delivered all 5 of my babies. I wont go to anyone else.

I recently went to see this doctor and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The doctor was extremely unprofessional and downright rude. She seemed to have no interest in listening to my concerns and instead just brushed me off with generic answers to my questions.To make matters worse, I had to wait for what felt like an eternity to even be seen by the doctor. It was a complete waste of my time and I left feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with the entire experience.I would strongly advise anyone considering this doctor to look elsewhere. There are plenty of other gyno doctors out there who are much more attentive and respectful of their patients time and concerns. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this doctor at all costs.

She is the most caring person I have ever met!! She was with me during all my pregnancy and during labor! She is awesome at responding all questions and takes the time to pay attention to your needs. More than a doctor she becomes a great friend! My husband, mother and I felt great when we would go to my appointments because she is very kind !!

Let me just say she is the best doctor there is out there. I had such a terrible experience with the delivery of my son from another doctor (whom I wish not to name), but when I had my daughter and changed my doctor I was so lucky to have her as my doctor. The delivery was so smooth, no complications, and post-delivery I had a quick recovery. If you are looking for utmost care then she is the one you need.

I’d give 10 stars if I could. I had my first pregnancy and delivery with Dr. Rula. From day one in till after I delivered, Dr. Rula was always there for me. It was always easy to schedule appointments; Dr. is super knowledgeable; staff is super nice. Dr. Rula was always reachable and attentive. She truly made the journey better. She is a real care-giver. I love Dr. A!She is honestly one of the best OBs I have seen. She is very understanding and goes out of her way to make you feel very comfortable! Also, the new front office staff are very kind and all training to be in the medical field. Its a great, friendly, high quality medical environment that I would recommend to any women! SUCH AN AMAZING DOCTOR. I was 20 weeks pregnant when she seen me and my first visit was amazing. At each appointment I was able to bring my family with me for the support. She is so optimistic positive and patient. My delivery was amazing. Highly recommend.

She took so much time to explain everything and really put my friend at ease and even answered some of my questions. I wish there were more stars to give to this Dr. There are not enough words to describe how grateful I am for having Dr.Roula as my doctor. I could not have even imagined being with a different OBGYN. I would honestly look forward to my appointments just to see her and her awesome staff during my visits. She safely delivered my baby three days ago and I would not have wanted it any other way. She is one of the most professional, caring, gentle and respectful doctors I have ever met. During my appointments she would take her time to makes sure she explained everything to me and would always answer my list of questions. Im not even gonna call her a doctor, because she’s not one. I have been to her for whole year and she has done nothing that her title as an Obstetrician-Gynecologist. I am so disappointed and I will warn others not to waste their time hear. All she does is take blood from me on every appointment and tells me to come back two weeks, then when I ask her question on the results she doesn’t say anything in fact she still has to exit the room to look at my records, then she comes back and says that I need to take another blood test and tells me to come back for the results. I swear she kept doing the same thing over again. She didn’t even help me, I don’t even know if she is qualified to become an Obstetrician-Gynecologist. She even had the nerve to transfer me to another Obstetrician-Gynecologist. she doesn’t even remember me, she literally doesn’t remember on every appointment I make with her. I am so disappointed and mad I wasted my time here, she should’ve just told me she can’t help me because Im infertile. The only thing she can do is monitor your baby only if your healthy, but if your infertile and you want a child she doesn’t know a thing. Which is why she always wanted to hurry and get me out of her clinic by always taking blood from me and not even reviewing my results. 😢
