Planned Parenthood - Upland Health Center

My last 2 appointments have really left me feeling extremely unheard and uncomfortable. I like the actual doctor I see there, but I cant in good conscience recommend seeing any of the nurses or PAs.

WORST health clinic I’ve ever been to. Do Not Come Here! It’s always overcrowded & the wait time takes forever. This place is truly disappointing. A lot of the nurses I’ve come in contact with are unfriendly & incompetent. They are not helpful whatsoever. I would recommend going to FPA Women’s Health Clinic in Upland instead. They offer the same services and have immediate/on-site financial assistance that can cover your services free of cost! They are here to help and actually care about their patients. Huge difference compared 2 planned parenthood. Planned Parenthood is trash.

This was such a great experience and so easy. Definitely call to make an appointment, it saves a lot of time.I was really pleasantly surprised at how helpful, knowledgeable, easy they made it for me to get treatment even without insurance. They helped me sign up for insurance, whether or not you have a Social Security number. They were very discreet and helpful.The doctor was really kind, she went above and beyond. She was very knowledgeable, helpful, explained everything very clearly, and helped me make a decision.This was so affordable, accessible, easy. I am so grateful that the service is available in my time of need.They offer so many services for health in general for all sexes and genders. Everything, including STI testing, UTI testing, PAP smear, preventive healthcare, etc.

I was hesitant to post this review but I had an uncomfortable experience and felt it was important to share. I came in when they opened because I hate waiting long periods of time as a walk in. Ive been coming to this location for some time and have never had an issue. I came in expecting the same experience. Despite having two ladies at the desk as usual, they informed me that they wouldnt be taking anyone in till 8. While slightly annoyed, I decided to take a seat and wait the full hour to be checked in only for them to kick me out in the cold. It felt really disrespectful and unnecessary. Im not sure if they were having an off day or if things are handled differently during the week, but I felt that couldve been handled differently. Why have your doors open at 7 if no one plans on taking patients at 7?

Staff was great at making me feel comfortable and relaxed. I am greatful for the state funded program which includes std testing, pap smear exam, and more. I am encouraged to work in this type of environment.

These women are so helpful and understanding. The amount of compassion I received blew my mind.10/10 would come back here and recommend these ladies for anyone having vaginal issues.Also huge shout out to Tina that made my appointment nerves disappear. She’s legit the best.Thank you again y’all

Staff is extremely professional and nice. This is the third time I come for a check up...I had my birth control implant taken care of (free of charge)Ive been tested as well, also every check up just in case comes with a pregnancy test...They always ask all sorts of questions, but theyre never judgemental. They always answer all my questions with a good tone and are super friendly...

I mainly come in for my birth control. Everything usually runs smoothly and everyone’s very professional.However I did want to point out the force to put on the mask that PPH provides you is a bit extreme in my opinion. I walk in with a fresh new mask every time and the receptionist hands me a new mask , or tell me to put the one they handed me on. Please give mask your patients that arrive with out one

I had the BEST experience at this location! I made an appointment online. It was my first time there, my appt was at 7:15 a.m, I arrived when they opened at 7 a.m. The check-in process was extremely fast and easy. The reason for my visit was for birth control. The staff was so friendly and I felt very comfortable. I was out by 8:05. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this location. Thank you ladies, from the receptionist to the doctor. Great experience!

I went not too long ago to get some form of birth control.I have to admit i was scaredBut the staff was really nice and helpful it wasnt long till i was called in.I did make an appointment in advanced.The nurse was professional and explain everything i needed to know.The doctor was really nice and she again explained and went over all the things that came along with my choice of birth controlI really recommended it!

I came here in May for a yeast infection. Everything was normal except when I went to have a Pap smear done. Pap smears are extremely painful for me, and even though I had told the doctor this I had ended up screaming during my Pap smear. When the doctor left the room, I heard her and some of the staff laughing from hearing me. Would definitely go to a different PP

Getting an iud here was super quick and simple for me. i’m happy with my experience as someone who had never been to a planned parenthood before :)

Terrible doctors office. The receptionists pry in to your business about your symptoms, one pretended to be a nurse to trick my wife in to telling her symptoms, which is completely unnecessary to book an appointment. The doctors dont care, misdiagnose constantly, dont listen to patients, require you to schedule separate appointments to explain separate symptoms. They constantly have creepy people hanging around outside the door with creepy fetus signs so everytime you need a new appointment, you have to walk by these creepers. Avoid at all costs. There are many better PP locations.

I came in to get my implanon removed and a new one put in its place. I didnt have to wait long which was wonderful but the best part was Gustavo. He was very efficient on removing my old one and placing my new one in. plus he has a great bedside manner. I was very nervous but with the way he talked to me while he was doing the procedure it made everything go smoothly and calmly. Thanks!

My sister and I recently got the Nexaplon implant (the form of birth control that is inserted in your arm). I went to the Santa Barbara location because I go to school there, and my sister came here to the Upland location. I had no problem whatsoever with the insertion at Santa Barbara, the doctors were very sweet and I hardly felt a thing.My sister, on the other hand, felt everything. Maybe the doctor did not wait long enough for the numbing to set in. My sister said it felt like someone was scraping at her arm during the insertion, and she was and still is in a lot of pain.Absolutely terrible experience here at Upland. I wish my sister would have gotten the doctors name. Avoid this location at all costs.

I’ve waited longer than I’ve ever had to at any location I’ve been to. My appointment was at 1:30pm didn’t get called in until, 2:45 and that was after I went up and asked the women at the window how long until I was called because even by then people who came after me were going in before me. She conveniently said I was next and made excuses as to why I wasn’t let in yet even though at my usual location I get called in within 30 min max even on busiest days. Waited in the doctors room for another 30-35 min and at 25 min in I had to go ask the ladies chillin in the little office when the doctor was gonna come in and they also said I was next. On top of it all had to listen to 80s music the entire time and under the music could hear either the light or the vents making noise and the lights were flickering enough to notice. The only reason they even get two stars is because the staff were nice enough. Never coming back to the upland location again. They’re lucky I wasn’t busy otherwise I don’t know how a busy working person coming in could be able to wait that long without having to leave to go back to work. Came in at 1:30 left at 4:00 don’t know how that could happen with an appointment at 1:30 but oh well I guess.

I went in to get IUD Paraguard. The nurse who took me back was funny and sweet. We were talking about hormones and so on. Typical girl stuff lol. Now the Doctor I had was rude and questioning my anxiety. Ive noticed my anxiety was so high with the implant. She laughed and said so does youre family have anxiety too then laughed. Like anxiety isnt a joke. I felt so uncomfortable.

I Love this place. The ladies are always super friendly, helpful, and careful. I never feel judged. Always provide me with sufficient information answer all my questions on the spot. And super fast service. Walk in friendly. Super clean before and after covid. Always sanitizing everything.

Ive been here multiple times for multiple reasons. Every time the staff has been friendly and helpful. Im super greatful and Ive never had any problems here.All the bad reviews are gibberish. Most services and medication here are free! Of course, try to make an appointment. It gets busy. If you have a complaint about this place YOU have issues.Thank you PPH!

Ive been going to the Pomona planned parenthood for the last 10 years. Well recently I moved into this area so I decided to give this one a try and let me tell you, I felt like it was the beverly hills of planned parenthoods. I cant believe what a difference it was! The look, the service, it was like night and day! I will never go to Pomona again. Im only mad at myself for not finding this place sooner especially since they are so close to each other.

Drove to the upland location with my daughter from Apple Valley. I came with to watch her daughter while she got on birth control. I asked to use the restroom because our drive is kinda far, but of course they told me no. Not one other person is here in the waiting room when I asked, but the answer is still no only patients RIDICULOUS! I drove my daughter here with MY gas so they could collect on her insurance thats the least the could do. We will NEVER come back!!

I have always supported Planned Parenthood because it has been ingrained into my thoughts that it is affordable and it helps a lot of people but I was wrong. I find it absurd that I was told I need to pay more than $200 without insurance just for a checkup. I ended up going to another clinic in which they provide free healthcare for women and all I had to pay was $15 for extra antibiotics.

My wife is pregnant and we have no idea where to begin. We wanted to know all our options first and we thought planned parenthood would be a great place to get the information we need.Two of the women that work there are not just useless, but insulting.My wife left in tears.When I complained to them, they laughed at us.

I go here regularly. They are always nice and if you have an appointment you can get out pretty fast. Without an appointment you can be there for a while but it takes 2 mins to make an appointment so Id suggest it. The staff is always professional and helpful whenever I have questions.

Everyone there is so rude, the front desk girls and even the nurses too. I’ve been there maybe 2 or 3 times already for a basic check up and to get another refill of meds and each visit was horrible.

They turn awake walk ins and try to appoint them a week out or make them wait HOURS. Go to the one in Pomona it’s quick and easy.

Friendly , privacy minded staff in a clean and COVID compliant facility.When condoms started becoming incredibly scarce, they still had me covered.

There are quite a few bad reviews here.. I went to this location about a week ago and they were nothing but friendly and helpful. I went in early as a walk in and got thru everything in an hour. The staff I interacted with answered all my questions patiently. One of the better locations Ive been to. Thanks PPH!

My primary Drs are there and they have been outstanding. Not everyone goes there for abortions

Omg this place is ridiculous!!!! Came to have my birth control checked out and was there for over two hours waiting !!!!! I went early for my appointment and still didnt get seen till that long! I fell asleep in my room waiting on the doctor! Smh

Took over 45 minutes after my appointment to get a paper signed. Everyone else who had an appointment after mine went before me.

Welcoming staff small wait for an appointment check in computers malfunction so you have to MAKE SURE YOUVE CHECKED IN bathrooms need to be remodeled kind of worn other than that its ok

Worst place ever . I had brought my friend to see her doctor . I drove 30 minutes , to bring her and they tell me Im not allowed to use the restroom.

Just go to a different planned parenthood. Costa Mesa is the best. Anaheim is ok.

It is a great clinic that has great service, they are very professional, respectful of each persons privacy regarding the reason for visiting the clinic. They also properly guide the patient. I waited many hours because I didnt have an appointment and they asked me if I wanted to wait and it was worth it because they helped me a lot.
